They Call Me Supa What if Vance was given a different message by the queen, like “Osiris don’t you dare plant that seed” but Vance is insulted by being scorned by Osiris and was corrupted by the influence of the lighthouse, that he changed the message to better suit his/the lighthouses/the darknesses goals?

D-sharp minor is a good nod, the Darkness (D) Sword (sharp) minor is often used for sad dark or creepy music tones.

The description of the notes, especially "the sound he had come to associate with death" kinda reminds me of the pyramid ship theme in cutscenes and in Shadowkeep missions, but I'm unsure what notes create the harmonies in that melody.

Mercury (and its lighthouses) are connected to the Garden and the Darkness. They respond to a Guardian's death in tones that echo to the Garden and its former Winnower. Perhaps feeding It?
Thus, when we engage in The Crucible and the Trials - killing each other for glory, gear, whatever -the two tone notes we hear are the music of our feeding the Darkness.
Makes an awful lot of sense to me.
Didn’t Saint say they created a mind tuned the specific frequency of his light to drain it. Is it just sample collecting?, just strikes me as connected somehow.
I feel the dangerous potential is the concept of light and darkness, when a guardian dies, as the light revives the person, the darkness also tries to take control thus the 'two notes', this is an interesting implication because we've always assume we are Guardians of the Light, but in fact this means we aren't solely existing as one or the other but both forces as one from the start, the third note on death i think reffers to true death and the dying being "Consumed by the darkness", which is the term Destiny has used since the start for the actual death of our guardian (Of course, gameplay wise we don't actually die but looking at it from a lore standpoint, when that happens we're dead forever), hell maybe the noise we hear when we wipe is actually the third tone that Vance refers to; this theory also works in relations to all the shadows in shadowkeep, experiencing true death as a guardian isn't like just dying and nothing, when we experience true death the light loses control and we become thralls of the darkess itself, shadows of our former self.
I will see if the tone we hear when we die is a D-sharp minor. Maybe there are more three-note combinations or the Darkness theme is in D-sharp key. I like your idea there.
Music is math, resonance frequencies, are a form of energy, thermal dynamics and all. The light is also energy but it ignores the laws of thermal dynamics, but not entirely as it can be redistributed and controlled, supposition than: The Lighthouse while likely channeling some form of Darkness being a Vex creation, Darkness is intrinsically tied to Light as we know the form Book: Unveiling, being both extra extradimensional beings it does make sense that the energy the Light and the Darkness offer is, at its core the same, however the source and how the source chooses to distribute it is different. The Lighthouse only acted on death touching the light... We don't know what it did with that however, we know the light was strong so what if it was feeding off the death-like tribute?
Or maybe it is studying what the frequency of lights death is to kinda make a almost death singers song esc weapon

@@PaleRider-zm2qx Possible. Extremely so given that its a Vex construct, however, the lore does tie it to the Darkness, and unless this was a retcon, which knowing Destiny it could be, the Vex had no concept of Light prior to D2, this is all taking place in Y1 and Y2 of D1.

The seed might be what we used to construct the New Lighthouse area for Trials of Osiris or it might be a seed from The Black Garden,perspectives one from the captured Legionnaire that Uldren and his budd found and interrogated in the Black Garden
So I have two thoughts here on the "Plant the seed" message from Mara Sov.
1. We gathered seeds of light to gain new abilities in the Forsaken DLC. It unlocked a new subclass ability for each. Maybe he discovered a new final form of that and she wants him to plant that seed so that we have the ability to deal with what lies ahead. (Savathun)
2. Plant the seed could also mean the thought of something. After all we learned in Shadowkeep, maybe Osiris understands the true meaning of our light. As Uldren stated. The line between light and dark is so very thin. Maybe Osiris understands that we have to question the source of the light and the traveler and that doubt and questioning will lead us to a truth we need to fulfill our destiny. The darkness as we understand today is not as it appears because we stand so directly in the shine of the light. Maybe we have to take a step away from it to see what is truly in the shadows and fully understand the full picture.

This sort of reminds me of the Dust lore book, Lavinia Garcia Umr Tawil ends up over her head when she takes a Ahamkara bone and goes to the Reef for help with her research and ends up locked in prison for knowing too much, then goes on another venture and goes through a wormhole (at least I think it was a wormhole) and ends up in a weird other dimension where she meets the witch that said she was lucky when Lavinia was born.
I'm assuming the seed is the Lantern seasonal artifact. Planted by our guardian to birth the new "Lighthouse".
I think guardians are not beings of light, but of both light and dark. However being raised under the Traveler, we have only known light. With the Pyramids returning, so is our ability to wield darkness, a fact the Drifter has been training some of us to weaponize.
The Vex built spires resonate with us but probably amplify the darkness, this new guardian spire will hijack that "network" to spread light and help maintain the light/dark balance.
I'm itching to have a darkness wielding guardian.
Do awoken guardians get to wield light AND darkness? That’s the real question.

Perhaps Mercury is a dark version of the traveler, a machine that looks like a planet. Like Unicron and Primus.
More likely it’s another traveler because the vex are agents of both the dark and the light

I think that last lore tab is brother Vance seeing the darkness in the future and where “|shahsh|”these are, it’s the darkness talking, almost correcting him like it was talking to us when we entered the pyramid ship. Just an idea
Feel like it was the Darkness and the Light who were talking. The voice is probably the Darkness. But the notes feels more like the Traveler, especially since it concern Guardians and we know it don't really speak.
Put my favorite weapon in, I think he's the next Speaker. Just... Not "talking" to the Traveler in a same way.
What Vance describes at the end reminds me of what the captain of the original Awoken ship when they got caught between the light and dark. I remember them describing it as a bassey sound

The seed I think is the lantern we placed cause Osiris let’s us charge it then place it in the lighthouse for a “beacon”.
Also Osiris asked the Drifter for help and recommendations on the sundial construction, not sure if it’s related but Drifter tells him he better be careful with what’s powering his machine.
Plus trials now has “Purity” Rating for light and dark,
Singular specs blinking into being that humm , have a sound , a musical note , (that i remember ) are the oracles , the ones you had to shoot down in the vault of glass . They would appear out of nothing , shining humming , and kill you if you didn't killed'em first.. 90% i think that's what he's talking about. Each oracle would make a different sound .
Imagine being the Guardian who accidentally final-killed another Guardian in the Crucible. You would feel awful.

Maybe the lighthouse records guardian deaths & final deaths and feeds the info back to the vex or darkness , possibly to judge when the best time to attack would be / when enough final deaths have happened to launch a successful attack
Oh I'm thinking that brother Vance has been hearing a signal to the pyramid ships that have been keeping track of how many guardians of the traveler there are so they could make their move swiftly. But I also think that he was hearing them communicate to him through that same frequency.
I think this all ties in with the book unveiling. The lighthouses are only a piece in the plot to reestablish the rules of the flower game. The light (traveller) as well as the darkness should not exist in our existence as they are the entities that created it. I believe that the darkness is trying to stop the traveller from giving physical beings paracausal power as that disrupts the pattern of life. I don’t want to get crazy deep into this but basically what seems to have happened is the traveller dropped the vex (the embodiment of the pattern the traveller is breaking) in to watch other us and make sure we as guardians do not have an unfair advantage over life. The vex only exist to make the universe the way it was supposed to be before the traveller ruined everything in search of more complex systems to make the game “not boring”. The spires seem to be detached vessels of the pyramids that were simply sent in to correct the traveller wrongdoings.
As uldren said “the line between light and dark is so very thin” which explains how guardians interact with the lighthouses of darkness. Although our paracausal abilities were given to us by the light the light and darkness share this power to bend the universe to their will. We just have the choice to use them differently
I think the light house is like a giant amplifier or instrument. Possiblity to use on the oriculs is they could function out side the vault. Have them play thier song and amplified could be universally devastating. But if the hive got it and where able to use it and reformed the Choir and sung the sound of death that could explain the connection to the pyramids ships if they are indeed the Hive.
At the end of Season Of Dawn after the Empyrean Restoration effort as we all know there was a cut scene called "Worthy" in that cut seen it shows us putting the The Lantern of Osiris into a pedestal on the top of the light house.... Basically what im getting at is after i did a little research about the lantern of osiris most people including myself at the time didn't realise that every time you bought a certain amount of mods the appearance of The Lantern Of Osiris on screen would change depending on how many mods the player has bought, Maybe this was away of showing us on screen that The Lantern Of Osiris was in fact a device that as we bought mods and got access to more ways to empower are guardians The Lantern was getting charged up to the point where it had the power to rejuvenate the light house.... Maybe The Lantern Of Osiris was "The Seed" that Mara Sov wanted Osiris to plant maybe this was her way of saying we have no choice but to bring back The Light House in preparation for whats to come in the future.

Pretty awesome lore. Makes me very curious as to what's going on with the spire, light, dark and us guardians, and Osiris/Mara....
In the final entry, it seems the speech patterns of "The Darkness" are the same as those of "The Traveler" with the l Brackets l surrounding its speech. However it seems rather clear that these statements were not made by the traveler but rather the darkness itself. It is most likely that Vance is the analogy of the speaker but for the darkness.
I think the "Dangerous potential" is being able to control the lighthouses of Mercury it maybe that a guardian could tap into the lighthouse and "harmonize" with it and become stronger then the traveler or whatever.
Remember how the vex found the "frequency" of Saint 14s light after he died a million times and now the vex tower is resonating a frequency to other guardian light when they die. Thats all I can think of

In these entries Vance sounds less like a cultist, and more like ikora, studying under Osiris. Not at all like the way he talks.....

Im gonna go out in spinfoil territory and guess that the seed spoken of is a seed of light, just like the ones that unlocked our subclass in forsaken. Where he would plant it I'm guessing the black garden where everything grows in all directions.
I have a theory about the seed...perhaps it's in regards to the Black Garden and when Uldren went to explore it. I believe you covered that on your channel some time ago.
I think it is light and dark working together to revive the guardians. The lighthouse is like a tuning fork and Vance can hear the light and dark "energy" reviving guardians. I think this is all leading up to a darkness super that we heard about in a leak for destiny 3 a while back. Could be totally off but this is what I see.
How many Lighthouses are there? The D1 Lighthouse, the D2 patrol hub, and the D2 Trials one we built with Factaline, right? Which one is the one that sang? I assume the D1 one. When was the patrol one made? Before or after the Red War?
The Lighthouse is indeed a trap, as it was not the original Lighthouse like we were all hoping.

The seed was probably the one place in the light house at the tower and I think the song Vance heard could be similar to the hive wizards death songs.
Is the seed maybe the lateen because we kinda planted that into the new lighthouse
Great video and I had see something interesting. Maybe is already known but here we go. At the end of Vance's hearing, he experiences something as himself (the narrator one could guess) as many spires reacts to it. The texts that are stated in |" "| are similar to those of the Traveler in the lore books from the speaker. The traveler interjecting and talking out of rhythm with the narrator. The problem here is something else, when Brother Vance "Attunes" himself to what happened on the Lighthouse that exact moment, He gets a vision, and someone like the traveler interjecting what he narrates. One could some assume it is the darkness, as it corrects Vance's words with Unison, Known, Salvation, and other themes. I'm not sure what Underbelly would be. But I'm safely assuming Vance attuned with the Darkness as people before could attune to the Traveler, so people that are susceptible to paracausal effects are the ones recieving premonitions and more information (Also why we possibly get the Traveler's vision about where a shard of Itself laid and wasn't captured yet.)

Kinda feel bad for Vance, he clearly isn't like his fellow followers and has much more intellect than the others. Then when the day comes for Osiris's return he spits in Vance's face. Yes he may have been meddling with powers beyond his mortal capabilities, but surely Osiris would see that perhaps not all of his followers are children?
Outcast Phoenix I would honestly tell Osiris that he should be more thorough in teaching his followers. I know he did not want the following, but they were there none the less and (by the sound of things) hung on every word he said. He well knows warlock tendencies for research and looking far and deep into things. He should have seen a situation like Vance’s research coming. If he did not want them to look into something, he should have told them what and (more importantly) why. You don’t allow children to work in labs, but once they are old and knowledgeable enough, you teach them HOW to work and research. Including why some avenues or methods of research are not done.

Maybe plant the seed has something to do with the infinite forest and how osiris sees many things that could be and the queens telling him to plant the seed, or to start the beginning of a certain timeline but out of the simulation cuz a seed is the beginning, plant the seed. Also maybe the sounds could be reverse engineered or something to be something of the deathsingers song, a note that could basically kill light or something

Before I watch this vid. And after I leave a like for my boi Myelin. A bit of speculation. Why is it called the Lighthouse hmm? Sure we have our own reasons. Our own beliefs. But, if this thing really is 'feeding on death' especially of light bearers. It has sinister purposes. (also the lore book is on the darkness section so ya kno.) What is a lighthouse for in real life? Guiding ships ships through the darkness of storms and the night. And what ships are we aware of making their way through the Sea of Screams (I kid) the night. What are they a lighthouse for? Food for thought lol

In the last entry it mentions the underbelly but I mean it could refer to the exact moment in time where Calus meets the darkness. This might be me thinking way to straightforward but I don't remember anything else connected to underbelly so it could refer to Calus and his Leviathan. I think since we are talking about the Cabal either later this season or next season we will talk about Calus. I was rewatching byfs lore talk about Garden of Salvation and he was talking about the texture of divinity as compared to the pyramid and the pyramid ships. This kind of makes me want to go flawless and see the texture in the very off chance that it has similar circuitry and texture to the pyramid ships and stuff but I suck so rip.
The seed could honestly be anything but maybe it could be a simulation seed or even a seed of light or seed of darkness. Mara says to plant the seed and it just makes me think of the Gardener and the Winnower. We plant the seed and the darkness is coming to you know erase the seed.

Crazy theory but ...what if the vex were actually here to help us and thay humming noice he hears is the light reviving guardians and its almost like a game between the dark (the traingle thing we see in the moon) and the light .....when u go to the garden of salvation and u see the mother (sorry forgot the name so ill just leave at mother of the garden) she doesn't attack first only once we make a move is when it fights and when u watch the vex they don't seem to harmfal or scary they just float they dance sometimes ...and they're world is so beautiful and perfectly made ...its like we are stuck in a similation and those 2 forces are pulling between us and seeing what we do ....in the deeps u can see that souls feed into somethng down there as well just like in infinite forest I'm still putting this theory together sorry for misspelled words .
