I ordered in Feb, got mine in June. Ordering doesn't mean that your dealer has an allocation. I ordered mine with every option minus wireless charging.
This looks pretty cool! Glad I ordered the 2023 xdrive. Hopefully will come in before end of the year :) Same interior color but in metallic white exterior color with the shadow package. Going to be one fun car to modify!
FINALLY! Thanks for this video! I waited a bit to order mine specifically because i wanted this updated interior and after weeks of looking this is the FIRST video i have seen with the iDrive 8! Thanks for showing me a preview of the car I ordered. 😂

I ordered mine last month with Rhombicle because it looks quite nice in real. But what shocks me in this car is, that Rhombicle is only on the center console and not on the dashboard. Why is it glossy black there? Was it a special customer request? I hope mine would not be mixed up in such a ugly way. Could you check?

I use the gear selector in manual mode so I hate this new gear selector which is a deletion. Also maybe I’d get use to it but I don’t know if I love the single screen dash/infotainment
you can still drive in manual mode. Put in sport (pull down once in drive) then use the shifters. If you leave it in drive and then go to the paddles, it will go back to automatic after a certain amount of time without shifting
I think what he meant and I also prefer is that the old gear shift can be used when shifting gears like a rally car-a sequential shifter. And I like to rest my hand there too...
We have no mention of a rear drive only for Australia , thus far only Xdrive variations but with the Idrive 8, which Im not a huge fan of much prefer my ID7.

Not sure about wanting a scratched up center console, but def would be inclined to match trims out of OCD. At first I hated ID8, but ngl its grown on me fast based on how clean the UI is and the new front gauge customizability/map integration. Gonna miss purple lighting, but flamingo looks pretty slick. The X7 gets WAY more colors standard which makes me wonder why we wouldnt get that, however bimmercode can solve that. A cleaning cloth seems like its gonna be a must tho...
We're on the other side of the country from South Carolina. Should have our first soon and then more after that. Plus a few of our M60s have been delayed (one individual and 2 frozen pure greys got delayed)

I ordered a 2022 model in March (UK) but still don't have a build slot yet. Been advised delivery would be April next year at best. Being honest, I don't like the iDrive 8 screen that much. To me it looks like an afterthought and a little cheap. I would have preferred the older style as it looks better even though it's older tech. I think I'll keep the order for now and may sell it immediately as I got a big discount from BMW so could probably make a bit of profit.
The big thing that bmw did was drop the convertible, I loved my 2017 m240i drop top, I like some things on the new 240i and some things I don't, I love the back lights, I don't like the front grill, I'm not a fan of the gloss black side skirts but over all a nice car, would I buy it , yes, would I be completely happy no
I can't believe they got rid of the gear shifter. My lease is up on my 2021 M240 and I ONLY drive using the stick in manual mode - I've owned two 1 series and three 2 series. This is an absolute deal breaker for me. Made it an easy decision to buy out my 2021. Should have made this an option, BMW.

Depends on what you use the car for. If you do track the vehicle, you'll see some benefit. Otherwise, it's a looks thing
Glad I got the 2022. So much better designed interior. I’m also surprised about the piano black dash. Good review!

Hope you're enjoying it
Congratulations. How do you like the straight dash?
Nice car! Thoughts on trim not being fully uniformed? I will be in same boat so curious
Is the difference in Trim (dash vs center console) a mistake from BMW?
Guess how you define a mistake. Wondering if it had to do with trim now having ambient lighting which is cool
Do you guys have a base 230i model in stock for test drive?
No. No 2 series, no 3 series.
I noticed there's not license plate. Who drills the actual plate holder?
We generally do not put them on unless requested for the front for M or M Performance models (or the i4/iX)
Is there ambient lighting on the dash?
yes, owner confirmed there is
Interesting. Then maybe should save $150 and just get piano black everything.
The dash being gloss black is a defect, no? Configurators show the dash with the aluminum rhombicle if it's selected.

Side note, it's a reference to Jeremy Clarkson and Top Gear who calls it "torques"
