I bought one. Its a fabulous car in every way. Great fun, reasonably quick, lovely interior, smooth and comfortable and very modern tech. Oh and looks amazing!
My favorite thing about the car that I neglected to mention is how the side mirrors fold out/in as the car unlocks/locks as you approach/walk away! What are your pros and cons? 🤔 Are you considering a 230i, M240i, or perhaps an M2?
Congrats on your first sports car and welcome to folding mirrors! :) I also placed an order in March for a Black M240i...finally have an allocation but still waiting. I believe production is next week. I have no problem with the IDrive 8, I've driven the I4m50 and had no issues with it and think the interior looks good. I do have an issue with them removing the shifter though...oh well. My Build: Black M240i w/ IDrive, Cooling/Tire package, Premium, Harmon Kardon, Parking Option, 50th anniversary badging, black leather w/ blue stitching
Congrats...this car looks great in black. I have an Alpine White 2022 230 M Sport and dynamic handling package. I looooove it. No regrets not getting the M240 either. Enjoy!!
congrats on your car because it looks amazing im from the UK and waiting for the Idrive 8 to start coming here then ill order mine enjoy many miles driving it buddy.
The 230i is a great BMW it’s light and nimble and quick with 255/295 with 3514lbs curb weight. Not bad value for a nice luxury rear wheel drive coupe. For less than $40k minimally optioned.
That is the exact reason I went with it. I just had a First Edition Bronco delivered this time last year, but it's a gas hog. So I wanted a little companion car to zip around in and for the price I couldn't believe it. Of course I optioned this one through the roof so it's no longer that inexpensive, but oh so worth it!
@@SupremeYDNAC - - I got mine a few months ago. I love the quality and the way it feels when driving. It’s fast and handles great. When I saw it in the showroom I couldn’t believe it was priced $39,500. Alpine White with the Cognac interior. Beautiful car with economical gas mileage.
Thanks for this! I finally received my production number since placing my order for the 230i back in May. Mine is a 2023 as well. Black sapphire metallic with canberra beige interior. M Sport, shadowline, dynamic handling, and premium packages. Basically the same car lol! The only added thing mine has is the m illuminated trim. For right now, all 2023 230i's with M sport starting in October are forced into the m trim ambient lighting. Can't wait!
@@bizzybezz May 16th. I was given an estimate of 2 to 5 months for the 2 series coupe. Due to delays, I knew it would be closer to 5, 6 months. Should get it end of November.
I'm waiting for my 230i to be built, it's supposed to be happening Halloween week. Going for Brooklyn Grey, with black sensatec, Rear Wheel Drive, M Sport, Shadowline, Premium, w/ Harman Kardon. Thanks for the video, nice to see the 2023 model in action.
Wow, in the short time since I posted this video, the online build configurator no longer has M Sport without a wheel upgrade, Shadowline, black wheel options, nor the blue contrast stitching on the black leather upholstery. Definitely glad I picked mine up when I did. Does the lack of any of these packages change your thoughts on getting a 230i?
Just took delivery of my 2023 M230i in Brooklyn Gray/cognac. Not only have BMW dropped all but the basic M package, they’ve dropped Brooklyn Gray and Portimao Blue from their color palette. Seems like these options are reserved for the M240i?
Really? I just went to build one and it let's you add m sport if you choose the second wheels. Well it's the only way to have m sport added. But yeah there is no more portimao blue
Thank you so much for the video and many congratulations! Your joy is pretty evident and I am happy for you for that. Also, finally, I could see an actual 2023 230i. :) I placed my order in June and the production just got completed, says ready to transport. Brooklyn gray with black interior, black wheels, M sport, Shadowline, Harmon Kardon, and red calipers. basically, exactly the same package as yours haha. My dealer did tell me about the unavailability of the parking assist package and head-up display which is super disappointing, I was actually looking forward to both of them as they were my favorite features when I drove my friend's X7 a while back. But seeing you got the head-up display is confusing me now. I might have to check with the genuine helpline. can you please tell me approximately how much time it takes from the "ready for transport" step to the delivery? I am getting impatient (as you can clearly see :D) with the massive delays despite the dealer's promise of no delays.
Congrats on your purchase! You'll likely be getting the heads up display from what I hear! The parking assist would have been so fantastic. I use the 360 cameras all the time in my Bronco to make sure I'm in parking spots correctly 😂 Honestly I can't remember how long that took, possibly a month. My statuses kept going back and forth, going from 'at the port' back to 'ready for transport'. Hopefully it won't be much longer!
It absolutely is! Of course mine is not a good example of that, I loaded it up and added on a protection plan so before tax I paid almost exactly $50k.
That all looks supercool and over the top modern. Black on black also looks great. Also ordered in March - expecting delivery in the next few weeks. DId not order any packages except the M Sport so kind of wondering how Idrive will be rendered in my basic model.
@supremeYDNAC - did you spec your vehicle with the adaptive M suspension? In the 2022 M240xi they had the adaptive button next to the eco pro, I don't see it in yours. Can u pls comment
"Adaptive" M suspension? I don't think so. It does have M Sport Suspension, but I don't remember anything about it being "Adaptive". Maybe that was part of the dynamic handling package, which I did not get.
Got confirmation from BMW , that the adaptive button was in the 2022 M240i model, it has been removed for the 2023 model year. The still offer the 2VF option but it's in the idrive8 that the model comes with.
Question: do the far left and right vents have illumination on the the control dial? Mine do not light up like the center vent control dials do. Thanks!
I have now experienced both 7 & 8 and I’m sorry… I just cannot get into the new display & console shift control . it’s just not fitting of a sporty enthusiast’s vehicle. The dash display literally just looks like a Best Buy monitor tacked on to the dashboard. OK I suppose for the “appliance-y” models for the tech-focused customers , but pleeease…not a 2er coupe. The drivers binnacle of the pre-2023s actually looks, feels & works like something designed for the enthusiast driver.
