Perfect summer song, catchy rhythm with the "acoustic 😅" guitar , and I'll definitely listen to this again for the fourth of July! Thanks again Cash and hope your having a good day today! ✌🎊🎉
Hi Sam! good idea to listen to this on the 4th ! Have your got plans for the 4th? friends? beach? BBQ w/fam? Me, I'm gonna just hunker down here at home and watch some 4th of July specials and the fireworks !😊👍🌞☀
One of my favorite Tom Petty songs of all time! For this one, I need to break out the Bartles And Jaymes white wine coolers! I was on a wine cooler kick at that time 32 years ago, living in Dallas. When I moved into the Foxmoor Apartments late July 1989, one of my housewarming gifts from the leasing office was a B & J white wine cooler. It was so refreshing, too! Back to the song, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynn, and George Harrison were great together on "Free Fallin". 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷Think of those as five wine coolers!
@Dave M A C oh, you're right! It's "full bottle," not a "full glass" ! I better get going fast on understanding this rating system - you'd think I know it by now 😂
@@davemac1197 i'm off the antibiotics, but had TERRIBLE reaction from the Levaquin - terrible tendon pain, and taking a long time for it to go away 😒 But, I'm still kickin', and Life is good !😊👍 I think I will have a glass !
Hi Cash! Brian B knows this is one of my favourite tunes as well because it was co-written and produced by Jeff Lynne of ELO. It was the opening track of Full Moon Fever from 1989, which was Tom's first solo album without his band The Heartbreakers. Jeff's production style is a sound that's very crisp and dry, not unlike a good white wine. That is why after discharging his last contract to make ELO albums ended in 1986, he started a production career working with other artists, starting with Welsh rocker Dave Edmunds in the UK, then George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Randy Newman, Del Shannon, and a few others in the US. Most of them being his childhood musical heroes, and having worked with them, most are now unfortunately dead! Jeff, Tom, George, Roy, and Bob Dylan were also members of supergroup The Traveling Wilburys, in which they adopted the names Otis, Charlie T. Jr., Nelson, Lefty, and Lucky Wilbury respectively! The Wilburys started out as a joke between George and Jeff as they were talking about what to record for the B-side of the first single from George's Cloud Nine album they were working on, and the fantasy group idea continued with both of them suggesting people they knew who could be in the group, like kids picking their friends for a game of soccer. The joke got serious when George pulled his phone out and said he had Bob Dylan's number and phoned him up to invite him round to the house! Handle With Care was the first song the Wilburys recorded and was released as a single, and an album followed. A second album was called Volume 3, another example of the humour permeating the whole project. All of this happening in Los Angeles, which is what happens when Brits have too much sun and possibly Californian wine! Full bottle from me. Hope you keep 'em coming.
@@telstar4772 - Hi, not sure if I knew about George contributing to Free Fallin' but I'm not surprised. Jeff Lynne had disbanded ELO in 1986, and produced Full Moon Fever for Tom as well as co-writing some of the songs. The same year he was also working on producing George's Cloud Nine album, which then led to the whole Travelling Wilburys thing...
Just found your channel and learned you're related to the beautiful Endeavor! She has done some reactions to The Warning and we were going to get her and her friends tickets to their Dallas concert, but Covid. Hopefully that is all clearing up now, but in the meantime -- *The Warning!* These are 3 Mexican sisters whose cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman went viral in 2014. Now, Metallica has invited them to cover it again for an album, Spector is producing a Signature Series bass in the name of the 16 year old bassist (yes, 16!), and they are about to release their 3rd album. Their newest single is Choke, about drowning in emotions but powering on through it. You can start at either end, the Enter Sandman video or Choke, or anything in between. Their UA-cam channel has all of their music. Choose anything, because they don't put out filler songs. If you do the reaction, I'll bring The Warning Army.
Oh, Man yes please react to The Warning they are Pure Rock Energy! They are in the process this year of releasing their 3rd. Album and the first under their new Label Lava/Republic records, only band from Mexico and the only Rock Band in Latin America to ever sign DIRECTLY with the major U.S. label, Their first single "Choke" Dany the guitarist voice will blow you away! Their 2nd. Single off this Album is being dropped on 7/23 IN 14 HOURS AS OF THIS POSTING, you can go to their channel on UA-cam to pick up links for their music! Most importantly they are singer-songwriters and accomplish instrumentalists, Dany the guitarist, lead vocals, Pau the Drummer, vocals, Ale the Bassist, backup vocals.
And to think, the idiots running the record company at the time gave this a hard pass. It took a sale & a change in leadership to get this album released. It of course stayed in the top 10 for weeks.
Whoooa! You are fast and furious! Well done Sam! Here's to you, the coveted Gold Medal and platinum-coated "Wine Not Trophy" for today : 🥇🏆 -------------> Sam
