Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers were a great American rock band formed in 1976. They had a lot of great hits such as "American Girl", "Refugee", "The Waiting", "Learning To Fly", "Mary Jane's Last Dance", "Don't Do Me Like That", "You Got Lucky", "Change Of Heart", "I Need To Know", "Listen To Her Heart" etc. In 1989 Petty went solo & had quite a few hits such as "I Won't Back Down", "Runnin' Down A Dream", "A Face In The Crowd", "Yer So Bad etc. He was also part of the supergroup "Travelling Willburys" in 1988.
Having lived in Reseda CA when this came out I love this one also my friends and I would blast this song when driving Ventura Blvd thinking we were so cool
Yes, a simple song, but the musicality, the melody, the harmonies, that guitar and drums! Tom Petty was awesome. May he R.I.P... Thank you for the reaction!
