It's amazing how Floyd can hit on multiple levels as they crafted an absolutely beautiful song around such a dark, sad premise. I love they way the song progresses from the simple acoustic guitar to subtly adding in instruments as it builds. The piano at 7:27 is just a wonderful touch.

I loved this song from the first time I heard it way back in the early nineties. I played in the band in school, so when I listen to something like this I can hear every single instrument in it. It's absolutely stunning and still gives me chills every time I listen to it. Perfection!
