You can try some more things to gain control over your hand like : 1. Brushing from you left hand 2. Typing from your left hand 3. Try picking up objects from your left hand This will force your left hand subconsciously to work and help you have a better control on it. A tip from a orthopedic 🤗
I did this when I was in about 3rd grade. I was always amazed at how lefties would write. I would practice and practice. Alot of years and practice later , now Id say Im ambidextrous : ) Just a tip to turn your paper a bit to the left when practicing : )

Yes, As a Lefty, Whenever I do any type of work at school or at home I usually turn my notebook a bit sideways, Its never straight! Because its really hard for me to write with straight notebook, Other Rightys write with straight ones, Just like my teacher, and she is like "Write with your notebook being straight". This is a useful skill for someone who uses their right hand for alot of task. I have an office job were I type all day and my hobbies are embroider and violion so my right hand is always being used. I had to take a break for a couple of weeks due to overuse of the right hand. I decided to learn left hand so I can take the strain off of it by writing and useing the mouse with my left hand instead of right.
One of the reasons I started doing this, I get bad pain in my right hand after using the pc for more than an hour, so being able to write and do other non work related stuff with the left hand means a lot.
I tried this for a day but now I'm inspired to go for 30 - I broke my left pinky last summer and have been trying to find ways to engage my L (non-dominant) hand as it had gotten stiff from being immobilized. TY for this!

Trying to write correctly still feels completely wrong, but this view helps me better than anything else out there!

It’s a very useful skill! I had a challenging exam under extreme time pressure at uni once. When my hand would cramp I’d just switch. While most failed this exam, I contribute a big part of passing to being ambidextrous. That is 1 out of maybe 3 times it was a useful skill 😁 Other 2 being injury to right hand. Also, you can now practice drawing with both hands!

this is crazy because I am left handed but when I was younger I thought it would be cool to teach myself how to write with my right hand. Simply because everyone in my whole class wrote with their right hand including my twin. But , I need to re learn it so that it is neater and feels more dominate
Doing this with my right hand since I'm left handed for writing and drawing. Although for other things like using a knife, scissors, tossing a ball I am more comfortable using my right hand. I figure learning to write and draw with my non-dominant hand might help me, especially if I lose access to my left hand. Not to mention writing in spiral bound notebooks will be a hell of a lot easier with swapping hands to avoid that damn coil. In all my life of being left handed I still struggle to write in spiral bound notebooks, so here to hoping learning to write with right-hand will fix that. I've also tried turning the books to a certain angle to avoid the coil, and it just doesn't work for me. I've tried different hand placements only to get massive cramps in the hand. Currently I am just writing 5 lines of each letter of the alphabet over and over, I will alternate between writing & drawing shapes over the next few weeks.
I saw improvements at day 6, 15, 22 and 25. It was always the bottom lines that were bigger and less straight I started to try to write with my nondominant, left hand today. This one side with a few sentences, always the same and random words and a few names took me so long. I think I will try to do this daily as well. It was somewhat readable, I don't have a good/pretty handwriting in general, if I don't try hard or write slow my writing is really scrawly. I always got scolded for it in school. There are way worse writing still. So some words don't look that different. But I need to put more pressure if I write with my left hand or it get's really messy and the letters way to big. And it is crooked but yours was always readable. I think it is cool to learn to be ambidextrous, if one hand gets tired or hurts, if you write too much or if you break a hand/arm.

Started with a BiC Crystal, but now my left hand loves the Indian Bu3 Grip. Maybe the BiC Soft Grip will work too and am absolutely sure it will appreciate the Ink Joy gel pens.
I already improved my spelling for the alphabet on my non-dominant hand in 10 minutes, not sure with writing sentences and phrases though. (Not as good as my right but also better than my right tbh, because I like to write fast and when I do that I rarely lift my pencil, I just lift it a bit but still on the paper)

Most of all the drawing tutorials on youtube are by right handed artists.. I am finding it exceptionally difficult conceptualizing right handed instruction for left handed actualization.. My dad is left-handed and right-handed but he uses his left hand more and he thinks learning both is a good skill to learn. So I'm prepaid to try this with a pen and a pencil. probs gonna give up but oh well.
My hands are equally dominant according to my doctor but my left is better at everything else then my right but writing. Writing wise I’m right handed.

I'm practicing this because I have severe arthritis and its getting worse in my right hand to the point of excruciating pain daily
