As a teacher who lived through the removal of cursive handwriting from the grammar school curriculum, I can’t tell you how happy I am to see it make a resurgence. It is a meditative practice and wonderful for kids who have dyslexia, as counterintuitive as that may seem. There are also children with something called “dysgraphia,“ which makes handwriting quite tough for them. But they, too, can hugely improve their handwriting if their teacher shows patience and humor.

Indeed.
Kind of disagree, some write neat as soon as they start writing and some write ugly, practice does help but very few people or children do that
This exactly what I did when I was in school. I chose the 'Jane Austen' font on DaFonts and practised until this is now my natural handwriting. So I absolutely vouch for this technique.

When I was a kid I loved practicing cursive. Now because of that I have really nice cursive writing. Practice really does work. After a while your hand has muscle memory and the letters and transitions can become really smooth.
For everyone who is practicing, don’t give up. You’ll get where you want to be. 😃 and never forget to not compare yourself to others. You never know how much someone has practiced and what work they have put into something. Being perfect is not everything and sometimes a little bit of quirkiness makes your handwriting unique to you and makes it that much more representative of you. 🙂
The thing I love about writing in cursive is that it makes things so fun and beautiful to write.
Finally someone said it
I'm a left handed and one time I had a homework that has to be written by hand anyway I spent a lot of time trying to make my hand writing as good as possible and just before I submitted my homework my friend saw it and laughed saying that i must've been in hurry doing it (Which means it was bad)
my heart broke a little that day because i thought it looked so good 🤦🏻♀️
Oh no. That's toxic
That such a toxic friend. I also a left handed so when I write in hurry I usually use a ball point pen or 0.35 point pen which won't make a lot of messy. Also finding the types of pen that their ink dry faster also important for neat handwritting. So yeap, my handwritting similar to this girl and I use these type of handwritting in my school work and in exam.
I often use 0.5 point pen if I feel to make my handwritting tidy and notnto do the calligraphy way.
I‘m sure it looked just fine!!;)
I turn my paper at an angle
"be brave enough to be bad at something new"
Every page is perfect... -.-
She didn’t achieve this, result instantly, as she has explained
I don't think she showed her worst pages besides her handwritting was already quite nice to begin with... But still, you get the point, right?
Also journal how it changes you. I once had a book 'Change your handwriting, change your life'. It was interesting and I still use some of the techniques.
Basically handwriting is connected to our neural pathways and the idea is that maybe by consciously changing your handwriting you can rewire your brain.
It's 2024 ,this quote hits me

1 choose your favourite pen
2 tilt the book or exam paper to the opposite side of your writing hand like if you write in left hand till the book to the right side and in right hand if you write tilt the book the left side in this way your handwriting will be good
3 sit comfortably
4 be relaxed
5 everyday when you are right tell to yourself that my handwriting is the best
Six everyday write a paragraph for better handwriting

She clearly has a lot of free time. Slow & steady isn’t feasible when you work a fast paced job. It’s is very nice to see beautiful handwriting, though!
Rats.
During highschool i was well known to the entire students and teachers as the school were i joined as the student with the best cursive handwriting. And teachers often asked me to write application letters for the test to be a national officer (PNS) and, i left mybooks at school for my accounting teacher who loves cursive handwriting so much for him to show to myjuniors about it and they used it as reference to write instead of textbooks. Bcz we wrote all the matery for the subjects there. And myjuniors used to ask for me, where is senior ....? Then when i looked at them they would say that myhandwriting is so beautiful.
I dont know how beautiful it was really. Because now myhandwriting is a great messy, keep changing in font and size, but if i write slowly, surely myhandwriting is still look good. But who can write slowly all the time? Too much work to do. 😄😄
I relate to this so so so much. I was the kid in school whose notebook was taken by the teachers at the end of the year to serve as a guide for the next year just because I had really nice handwriting as a child. But growing up, life got busier and I had to get things done faster and my handwriting started deteriorating so fast that I hated my own handwriting as well. There had been times I couldn't read my own college notes just because I wrote too fast. This video makes me want to go back ad change just that
This amount of neatness and cleanness i have never seen in my life
I'm in love with the calm voice and clean hands

i used to have really messy handwriting but i changed and improved it over the course of one summer and now everyone loves it. i’m really proud of it and i love seeing people do this
I had the problem of actually only knowing how to write in cursive and never knew how to write print fonts so I started practicing to learn a new font and was happy with it. Then school started and the teachers are too impatient so I went back to cursive writing and my muscle forgot how to write in print fonts. Finally now in the quarantine period I started over and I can see some improvements.

This is a great idea! My handwriting became horrible in college because I had to write my notes so fast in order to keep up with the instructors' lectures. Now my writing is really bad as a result. I'm planning on doing this practice journal to get back to neat handwriting
This is a very interesting video . I liked that this person took the time to improve her writing and will be a skill that will last the rest of her life. I noticed the use of a calligraphy pen with a nib or a fountain pen. This makes one's writing very different and does take practice. I write in cursive most of the time. I was signing a paper in a store and the clerk kept staring at what I was doing. I thought I was doing something wrong. But then she said.... you have the most beautiful handwriting I've ever seen. That was quite a compliment but it wasn't necessarily true... it's just that young people in this country have not been taught how to write in cursive for almost 40 years now. My grandchildren can't even read my handwriting nor do they write in cursive. That's sad for two reasons. One, many people won't be able to read old letters, journals, and documents. It will be like a foreign language to them. And secondly, because technology won't always be there. Technology must have a power source which can go out or stop at any time. But you can always pick up a pen or pencil and write.
I remember being taught cursive and not understanding it one bit because I’m left handed. A teacher in middle school helped me learn how to sign my name by having me after school three days a week for a while because she noticed I was unable to
Very true, very touching.
