Muay Thai, sometimes referred to as Thai boxing, is a combat sport that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This discipline is known as the "art of eight limbs", as it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins. Join in my one month journey through Muay Thai, as I learn Muay Thai for 30 days.

I'm BACKKKK with another 30 day challenge video. Probably my toughest challenge yet🥵What do y'all think about Muay Thai and the final fight?🥊
Huge thank you to Ambush Muay Thai and the coaches at the gym for taking me from 0 to 30! Stay tuned for more challenges.

Amazing achievement in 30 days. You should be proud of yourself. Normally we wouldn't call sparing a fight.
This was really cool! you should try boxing too so you can fill in those gaps and become a well rounded martial artist.
next is Lethwei and maybe you can meet Dave Leduc for your training or tips
EPIC! Simply getting in the ring is the greatest challenge of all. To see the complete opposite end of the Martial Arts spectrum, you may want to try a 30 day challenge with Aikido. It isn't the most "practical" style in the world, but it still has many benefits and several highly effective techniques. Keep training. Cheers!
Really impressive! I commend you so much for the way you apply yourself in all your challenges and of course this one. Watching you spar and utilise what you had learnt was so cool to see. Keep going with everything you do, you definitely gave me food for thought. I do MMA, so hearing the coach compliment you on how fast you learn and your attention to learning should always be a priority for any sport and field of study for that matter. So well done! Awesome job on the video as well
2 minutes in I can tell you're gonna progress faster than average. Some people just understand technique quickly regardless of martial arts experience and you definitely got that going for you.
Her proprioceptive awareness is very high. I have a friend just like this. He can analyze very quickly how someone is using their body in a specific sport, break down the movements in his mind, and utilize it effectively enough to do the sport really well on the first day. He did this with golf, bowling, disc golf, football, snowboarding, and downhill skiing.
She also has experience with Taekwondo so that probably helped with her fitness
I agree. She has good coordination and hips are moving easily with the techniques right out of the bat. I was also quick learner when I started. It was a lot easier for me, than most.

side note but very important: do not put your contacts back in after they hit the mat without cleaning, the mats carry bacteria which will go through the lense into your eyeball, there have been fatal instances of this. maybe look this up to be safe. great vid and well done
Yeah, I wear daily disposable lenses for sport, and if my lens falls out in the gym, it goes in the bin.
Rip to that 16 year old bjj kid
You’re not supposed to wear contacts or glasses during a match or during training. You must be able to adapt and overcome.
@@sergeantb.r3575 What a bunch of BS...
@@ninuts9653 it isn't bs, I spar half blind to avoid all that, you adapt after a while
30 days and you're already this good?????
you're already better than 60% of the people who've trained for a year
It's about the discipline and having the right coach.
she has had more training before her footwork and her disciplined blocking
no, shes not better than 60% of the people whove trained for a year, its not just how it looks, its the technique, power, speed, explosiveness, and footwork which we didnt get to see too much of
@@zzenishim Exactly. You can only know a person's skill on the ring.
she already has martial arts experience brow 😁😁
Crazy how underrated this channel is
Real
This tells me it's possible to learn Muay Thai in a month PROVIDED you're already an athlete and have the work ethic of a competitive athlete. For some of us, it is still training technique, strength and conditioning, and setting a good, active routine for months, and sometimes years before we can hold our own in an in-gym sparring session. That said, I think training in combat sports has definitely helped me build mental toughness and making me realize that I can push past what I think is my limit.
im sure she didnt do this all in one month just 30 days of training so im thinking maybe 3 days a week so a few months of training
@@omegasquad868 I think her being an athlete in a related sport still makes it possible to learn it in that duration. It's like a wrestler going to a jiu jitsu class for 30 days. The results will be very different from someone who just got off the couch and decided to do jiu jitsu for 30 days.
It’s the 1 on 1 instructions imo, at my gym there’s usually like 30 people so the coach can only give me a few pointers at most a session for a few seconds
4x Muay Thai National Champion here, you did amazingly well for someone that never did martial arts before
Completely agree that she did amazingly well, but it's worth noting that she already has experience in Tae Kwon Do.
4x champ eh? Sure bud
@@ronmate4208 first rule of the internet is disbelieve everyone. But it's not impossible they aren't. There are plenty of small countries out there where being a national champ wouldnt be that much of a stretch. Or who knows, could be from a legitimate country with legitimate Muay Thai fighters.
Thank you! But I have about a year of experience in Taekwondo and a few months in Tukong. No experience with muay thai going in!
Hahaha. Talking champion
I trained Muay Thai many years ago. To do that much in 30 days is amazing. Great work.
NO FUCKING WAY! I swear you and a few other channels had a huge influence on me really trying BJJ. While at it, I also discovered that I love MMA in general and now I see you drop this video for Muay Thai. Totally unexpected but awesome!!!

That’s awesome! Keep it up :)
Since you're Austin based, it would be really dope to see you try historical longsword and other weapons at Austin Historical Weapons Guild! They're super nice and it's always fun to see more folks try HEMA (historical european martial arts).
Great idea!
Would be fun!
I've run into many Kendo and Kenjutsu practioners at HEMA training. Everyone loves to fight with two-handed swords.
I find it funny that I signed up for a Muay Thai/BJJ gym when you did your BJJ challenge. So now 8 months later I see you start Muay Thai and I'm reminded of how grateful I am for that video you made. As now an experienced (lol) MT practitioner seeing you pick it up was fun, keep it up Kize!
My first month of Muay Thai. My shins and ankles were in agony!

Four 5 min rounds?! Wow, I’ve fought my whole life in martial arts and mma and four 5 min rounds with fresh people every time at a high pace like that is insane! Major major MAJOR respect for you girl!
When Elton talks about mass and acceleration, he's referring to a physics concept in martial arts! When it comes to the force of impact of your punch for example, you could apply "Linear Kinetic energy". Kinetic energy (K) is equal to one-half the product of its mass, m, and the square of its velocity, v, or K=1/2mv2. This is what Kize is doing in (1:00). Note: Her base/legs aren't rotating. Just her wrist.
Here's a secret for ya'll: If you add rotation to your Strike (With your whole body from your feet to your fist) the kinetic energy will increase by 20%. "Rotational kinetic energy" is where huge physical power is at. Kize applies this in (1:51) because she rotates from her base into her kick. The power is so visible that even her cameraman reacts xD.
Kize, you are a role model for thousands, and for millions who haven't discovered you yet. Keep that guard up and all of the Great work you're doing 🔥
dang,.....I probably need to re-open my Physic book in high school again.....
@ Johnny BG. True, Kinetic energy is the key, but a capable trainer would have a solution for power. If Ms Kize Bas had better form, she would have bio-mechanic advantage to compliment her executions.
🤓
Huh, I didn't expect to see this video and see it be a gym a mile away from me. Ambush is dope.
Congrats Kize on taking on that challenge! Looking good for the short amount of time you had and only gonna get much better if you stay with it..video had me smiling ear to ear.. awesome girl!
This was very brave of you
That's awesome! Coach Elton and the Ambush crew are excellent. I trained there for about a year, never did Muay Thai before then but I learned a lot. Best Muay Thai gym in the Austin area for sure.
Really love seeing you try these martial arts challenges Kize.
Wow!!!! You did beyond amazing! Very impressive to see how fast you progressed through this journey! I hope you stick with it! He’s an amazing teacher and you are an amazing student! 🎉 keep at it!
The coaches speech at the end resonated deeply with me. I've had to lean on my ability to learn when getting back into sprinting. From form and technique, to warm-ups, drills, and stretching, it's a much different beast than my knowledge base of lower body gym workouts. But I've never felt better, so I know the patience with myself and consistency is paying off.
Much respect to you for being a lifelong learner and challenging yourself in ways that aren't initially comfortable. It inspires many and sets a wonderful example for many generations to observe and absorb. All the best.
Great work! Could definitely tell you put a lot of work into it! Awesome coach as well 👍🏼
it's crazy how different are your challenges but so great to watch your involvement
You did very good. Also, your style of kicking more than punching will get you far especially in "thai style" scoring. Congratulations.
Absolutely love the positive energy you carry. 👍
I had my first sparring yesterday after 3 weeks of training. A friendly one, not going too heavy. I recently stopped vaping and I was so short of breath but I did manage to put in a few good shots against a guy who frequents the gym for a year or so, so I was happy. Love this video, very motivating! You're extremely brave!
Great job Kize!! That was awesome 👍
He is the best trainer I have ever seen in a sport like this! And you did so well... fighting ist hard
love your work , keep grinding!
This is so cool! I admire how strong your will-power is, it motivates me as well. And the editing here is super good, I wasn't bored throughout the whole video. Keep up the good work!
You did amazing! Awesome job 💪
Your UA-cam videos are quite addictive. I subscribed BTW and this is your third video I’m watching.
Let’s just say, I’m more than impressed.
I’ll probably eventually watch all your videos. I’ll likely suggest your videos to some of my students as well.
Keep up the good work.
Great video! loved the end part about learning to learn. You have a skill for storytelling can't wait to see what you try next. can i suggest scuba diving aboard maybe Egypt.
Your video about brazilian jiu jitsu gave me the boost to finally start it! And here you are, trying different activities and sports, i would never had the courage to do all these things, thats crazy and fcking inspiring! Keep them coming Kize and thanks for the big motivation boost! You rock.
awesome job! also the coach is excellent, great recap at the end.
Awesome - Well done - Very Inspiring
IT's cool u've done that ! i trained 3 years and nothing for a year unfortunately but i really love that sport
Your awesome KB! Greetings from Northern Japan!
Your very brave Kize!!👍🏽👍🏽
this was fun to watch - tnx & keep up the great work - S
Called it!!!! I had a sense it was only a matter of time since your martial videos.
I saw those set ups, and that foot work deserves more screen time too!
U just earned a subscriber on this video!!! Great content!!
Really amazing! You got some talent girl
just found your channel from the drumming video love your videos now love from Australia. keep it up!
You really inspire me to go learn something new. I appreciate your videos for sure
I'm new to Muay Thai / Kickboxing too and I'm only at Day 9 so far. Your Day 2 already looks very good! I'm not even done watching yet but I gotta commend your very fast progress.
Woooow thank you for this!!! I will be starting my muay thai class next week
Great job! You did well! I would definitely train at Ambush if I lived near by
Yk this was actually fun to watch it was the perfect balance between exciting and chill you definitely earned a sub
This was great, awesome job, the ending was so wholesome
Omg you're really an inspiration!!? Thank you so much
It was really exciting! Me either had my first fight( fairly intensive sparring) in my 30th day kickboxing training but you did it much better than me.
As usual, this is excellent! It's always so good to see you reach new objectives and being able to overcome yourself again and again, it truly shows your nature as a person through these challenges (:
By the way, it would be very nice if in the future you tried some weapon-based martial art, like Kendo for example! There are plenty of Dojos nearby, I'm sure of that. I think it would be excellent as it is a beautiful sport and philosophy, and you don't always get the chance to hit each other with armor and bamboo swords!
How in the heck are you so underrated??!!!
truely inspiring kize............lots of love sis!!! 🙂
Lowkey becoming my favorite UA-camr very fast
This is such a cool video! I've been thinking about doing just this for the last six months or so. I've been spending waaaaaay to many hours on the couch since covid started and think this would be a great way to kind of kickstart and shock my body into moving again after . I've been checking out different MT gyms in Thailand to live somewhere I don't really have a choice to not train. If I did it at home I'm pretty sure I'd find an excuse to miss a day, which will lead to a few days and then I'll be back on the couch... Thank you for inspiring me to actually try to achieve this!
You did an amazing job!!
You inspire me so much!
love this video good work Kize
Great progress. I can see you learned pretty quick. Still a lot more to learn technique wise but kudos to you for taking on such a tough challenge. I hope you continue, nak muay ying.
Was waiting for this!
i just finished the jiu jitsu video and saw this
it’s a good day
This was a really awesome video. This has made me even more excited to start my journey with Muay Thai fighting.
I applaud you for doing these 30 day challenges. You’re 1 badass woman!!
Is this for real??
Amazing, never did Muay Thai before, someday I'll try it
Well done! 🥊
Thank you Jesse 🤸♂️🥋🥊
This is Jackson from the video, this is so cool to see out into a video! Keep up the good work 🔥
Thanks Jackson, keep killing it!
Girl this is so inspiring !😭
You’ve done fantastic job in just 30 days. You kicking form improved so much and you could keep the pace and aggressive even running out of stamina. Learning definitely is a skill that can be learned and you are an awesome learner. ❤
Good job dude u represented yourself very well...
Great progress 👍
Hey Kize, I've been following for a short while and I really love that you give yourself a whole month on these challenges. I've done Muay Thai for a few years and it's definitely one of the most fun styles, except for Jiu-Jitsu imo. I have a question, how do you feel at the end of these challenges? Has there been any particular kind of challenge that stuck with you that you had to keep doing?
awesome video! would have liked to seen more fights in the ring to prepare for the final one! but good progress!
Keep it up,muay thai is really fun
This is the first video of yours Ive seen. Im interested. Lets go.
You're awesome, Kize!
Don’t even know you but I’m so proud of you! Haha I was watching and rooting for you for all 4 rounds, the grit and determination is amazing 🎉
Your Mind games and Fight IQ is very impressing.
You really are a fast learner!!!
Another awesome video! I wish this one had been a bit longer, it would have been awesome to breakdown a few of the techniques you were actually using and then comparing that to how those techniques actually faired in the ring for you.
Also, I'm very surprised to see you learn muay thai and jiu jitsu which are proven effective real life fighting tetchniques, but the one you chose to continue with was the traditional martial art. I'd love to hear your thoughts on why you made this decision! Could you do a little breakdown video on the different skills youve learned and comparing them?
Love your channel inspired to take a muay thai class too thank you
You've done TKD and muay thai. Very good sets for strong kicks. How about finding a Choy Li Fut school to learn that? It's a traditional style of kung fu and a lot of schools mix in more modern methods to teach and help students progress into the system. It's a powerful and devastating kung fu style.
Amazing. Just waiting for this channel to blow up :)
Omg girl your MIND is so amazing!! I'm gonna show the new girls in my kb class this video -
Thats a good gym too. Good fighters out there!
Each time you study a new martial art for 30 days like that, you'll be learning faster and faster. There are a lot of common aspects in different martial arts. Keep it up!
You are a very talented person, you learn things much faster than average people. By the way, the viewership should have given you a dilemma that 30-day challenge contents are so much popular than others while you can create this kind only once a month. Maybe, 7-day challenges as contents? ;)
I'm actually really interested in your process of learning that he talked about, could you possibly do a breakdown of your approach to learning new things and how they translate to different types of skills?
There are two types of skills. One is hard skill and other ks soft. Both skills have different learning method.
superb effort.. and boxed excellently for only 30 days.. no one could say you don`t have v good potential if u kept with the sport
This challange was super cool and interesting to watch! And huge respect for you to put in so much hard work! You are really a inspiration for me and thanks to you i wanna try hard too! Thank you so much!
"i also lost one of my contacts" brooooo I HATE THAT!!!! i felt that right away lol fighting half blind lol
Uhh.. You have a lot of flexibility, dude! I used to do amateur boxing. But, I would need years learning the kicks.
I love how positive this video is
keep at it! you looked great for someone with 30 days under her belt!
I’m really proud of you! I spent a lot of time training and fighting over the years. And you’ve really done a great job getting ready for this challenge.
WTF. you did insanely well. I did muay thai for about 7 months before going to college. Was super tough, but fun. Hope you stick to it.
Great coach!
Hahaha they put you in the shark tank, your boxing definitely improved. awesome video!
Damn you are brave. Well done!
