Thanks for sharing this. I am small content creator with mainly some faceless content, and I started posting bunch of Shorts lately. The hardest thing is starting your channel, that's for sure. The thing that worked for me really well is giving my videos small boost on Famester. This caused them to spread everywhere, bringing more and more organic views day after day.

To all the creators trying to grow, please don't be discouraged by the slow pace. If you are confident in your content and you are consistent then more people will notice. I am preaching to the choir though. Good luck y'all. See you at the top.
I create content for myself because sometimes I forget the songs I play in church so I can come back to them, but suddenly, I started to get some views. Thank you for encouraging people 👍
As a small, brand new UA-cam channel, these insights are absolutely priceless! It can definitely feel like the algorithm ignores you, which means it's time to take action 🔥
Just stepped into comments and already felt like a warm welcome to the creator community for a small channel like me. This gave me a boost that I should never get discouraged.
Remember keep pushing and don't give up! The resources are out there waiting for us all. Stay committed, stay motivated and it will all pay off. I've recently starting using UA-cam's promotion feature on the content tab and it has helped me tremendously, on top of learning from videos like this one. Good luck to all! Let's get it!
Thanks, my channel is a little over a week old. My plan is to be consistent and working on material to drop everyday for a month. I just refuse to give up!
If you're seeing this, don't give up on your channel. We all have to start somewhere. It is hard, but keep going and have faith it's going to get better. Thank you for the tips too!
Don't lie! We all knew why we watched this video, right? If you're starting a new channel like me, don't give up and just keep grinding. Just remember, "Rome wasn't built in a day".
You will not remain "small" for the rest of your life if you put "huge" effort into your channel. I believe in that. If you are reading this and struggling at the start, we are in the same boat. Keep pushing! We will succeed soon.
I did tip #4 . Went from 80 subs to 3200 in 3 months. This part is VERY true. Pick a less competitive part of your niche to grow an audience. When you get an audience, THEN you can start shifting away from the topic that made you popular. Just don't stray to far away from the topic that got you the audience.
@@shortrecipe2022 the standard stuff. Good/intense video editing. Probably spend 10-12 hours editing each video (only 8-12 mins long). Good story telling, and good titles and thumbnails.
I just recently created my first youtube content channel and am happy to already see some progress. The secret is consistency. Studying which videos have potential to go viral and doing shorts as a bloody beginner to get attention helps a lot!
I'll subscribe to your channel. I know how hard it is to get subscribers. I'm at 77 subs, but I'm so happy with what I have. I just pray it keeps growing 🙏.
One thing I noticed regarding algorithms on other sites: be mindful of what companies are in competition with each other. I tried advertising my UA-cam video links through Facebook in the past, and always got much less attention on those than any other posts. It hurt my creativity for a while because it seemed like none of my friends cared about content I put a lot of heart into. In reality, they probably never even saw the videos posted on FB in their feeds. This was a few years back so I don't know if the same censorship goes on. Haven't been on FB in like 4 years. Google and Meta are competitors, and when big corporations censor each other they hurt the little guy.
I think that, like most people, getting ignored by the algorithm is very very frustrating to the point of even giving up. That's why, in my case, I lose consistency over time because I know that anyway the algorithm is not gonna love me. It's like a loop: the algorithm doesnt love you, you upload less, so the algorithm doesnt love you, and on and on and on.
yes, the reward is important for many people to keep pushing. But we as humans often look on short term reward, and youtube is for the long run. You have to keep pushing your stuff for 6-12 months to see whats happening, instead of giving up after 4 weeks because nobody watches you. Some people have been uploading for years before growing an audience.
I've fallen into this trap myself. Sometimes, though, it's easy to blame the algorithm when it's actually something I did, like a bad title or thumbnail, or taking too long to get to the good parts of the video! At other times it's just that a whale in your niche uploaded that day and the views are going to them.
Ive been going at this for almost 3 years and I agree this is extremely frustrating! But, I found taking the time to educate myself and taking a break from this space (whether that is 1 week or 3 months) is super beneficial!
Hi, so. This is not the case. This is a myth that big creators have thrown around since they don't get as many views after hiatuses. That's not because UA-cam is not pushing their content, it's because their regular viewers have lost interest overtime, so their new videos don't perform as well as the old ones. Also, most UA-camrs metric their view count against their evergreen videos, aka the ones that people are always watching, aka the ones that make them money. These often have millions of views, so they overshadow their perspective of the actual view count they are obtaining. If people watch your content, then it is pushed. If people have gotten used to watching your content, then they'll watch your content, leading to a more condensed increase in engagement, leading to better performance.
Small content creators, don't lose heart! Your time to shine will come if you stay true to yourself and never give up. Keep putting in the work, for consistency is the foundation of success. This video was incredibly insightful and well done! And to all the aspiring small accounts, keep climbing the mountain. Never let setbacks keep you down, for greatness awaits you at the top. Keep pushing, and your moment in the spotlight will come.
I see, the key is to succeed is have patience, consistency, and get along with audiences and everything. I will do my best as we small UA-camr channel aim to succeed. And also message to whom reading this comments for every small UA-cam channel, don’t give up and keep it up making great contents and don’t forget to enjoy making videos along with audience! Keep moving forward, and soon, you'll reap the abundant harvest of your hard work and resilience. Keep the faith, and your dreams will flourish! 🌱🌟💪
Started one month ago and it feels so good to see your first 100 views on your video. Thanks for advice, much appreciated. Tip from myself is that you need to be patient, upload quality content and don't give up!
3:34 is the most important part to me. I've networked with a lot of offline friends, showing them my art videos, story time videos and such, and they instantly subscribed and watched them. My offline friends gave me an average of 20 minutes of view time each, so: 20 minutes x 40 friends = 13.33 hours of view time. Friends is power.
🔥🔥🤩This video is a game-changer for small channels! The algorithm can be a tough nut to crack, but your tips and insights on how to make it "love" your content are so practical and valuable. Consistency, engagement, and quality really do make a difference. Thanks for breaking it down and making it accessible for us smaller creators. Time to put this advice into action and watch the channel grow! 🤑🤗
Before you even start a UA-cam channel you will HAVE to believe in yourself even before others do. For a small UA-camr like myself it is very important. You will have to put quality time into your channel and try connecting with your viewers/supporters. Some videos will fail and others will flourish but in the end DON’T give up we are approaching a new year! A whole new year to grow I wish you all the best of luck in 2023!!!
I think that for small channels the most important thing is to have some kind of strategy (for me it using some services, like a little bit of Famester from time to time). It works wonders, and is especially good for faceless channels and brand new channels to help you achieve that 1000 subscribers as fast as possible.
The last tip is very accurate. The UA-cam algorithm hasn't done much for me, most of my views comes from searches and people embedding my videos on blogs, forums etc. One of my videos got 13K views in about a year thanks to being embedded on a website, which is a great achievement for a channel my size and the niche I'm in.
Absolutely agree! Putting in effort and hard work is the key to success on any platform, and UA-cam is no exception. Starting a channel can be challenging, but the reward of seeing it grow and succeed is worth it. Remember, success is not instant and it takes time, patience, and persistence to see results. Also, it's important to not compare yourself to others and their progress. Every channel is unique and grows at its own pace. Focus on your own journey, keep putting in effort, and stay positive. You'll get there soon! And remember, success is not just about the numbers, it's about creating content that you enjoy and that resonates with your audience.
As always, great content! My small hack is to give my videos a small kick in terms of views and when someone searches for keywords that my videos contain, they show up (especially if someone sorts their search results by number of views in the last day or week)
I am a small creator in the gacha community. I do post many fandoms and for stars sake the yt alorgithm, copyright and other stuff just hate me. This video is really helpful so thank you! I will try my best to follow these tips! I try promting myself on wattpad (I am also an author, not official) and I write stories and make videos on all fandoms I am in. The relavence is a little hard for me since I mainly use a fandom I made myself. And then COPYRIGHT I am currently working on a video about this nightmare of all creators. It is honestly restrictive to creativity and only benifts the og creators and not everyone. I would love creative commons to be used more then copyright but that is just me. Tell me if you agree! Anyways thank you for the tips!
Thank you so much for the tips! what started as a hobby has now become a meaningful endeavor, especially when a close friend ended up in the ICU. In those tough times, I dedicated myself to uploading videos almost everyday, hoping that my channel could grow and make a difference in helping with their medical expenses. Your encouragement means the world to me, and I'm sincerely thankful for it. Thank you for sharing and being part of this journey.
BEWARE: I destroyed the performance of my whole channel by deleting one single clip :( I only removed it because the client refused to pay. It took almost 2 years until I had a good reach, even though I only posted my best videos that went viral on Instagram or TikTok before. Stay patient and have fun creating! And please DONT copy and paste. Reposting accounts suck! Support your fav Creators and not the scammers.
Agree 100%. Consistency is all it takes to grow your small channel to gain momentum. The algorithm doesn't recommend your videos, post more videos. As simple as that.
Hi, I'm another small creator and something I noticed is that tagging things in your video description is very helpful. I got 600 views on my new video in 3 days which is much better than my old videos which I did not put tags in.
To all small creators like myself. You got this ✊. With patience and consistency, we will definitely surpass our expectations someday. It’s not impossible, it may only take time. Let’s keep going stronger. The algorithm will identify and favor us soon. 👊
On this same topic of the algorithm, would you guys be interested in doing a video that tackles how to bounce back from a scenario where the algorithm starts recommending you to the wrong audiences due to a solitary viral video on your channel? Or discussing it during one of the livestream's in passing.
Not a bad idea for a video! In the meantime, my general advice here is to either un-list your viral hit video, or start a new channel and let that viral video continue getting views, money (if possible), etc. Every day that video reaches people who have no interest in your current videos, so there are really no great answers. I suppose a third option though would be to make a video that's more on par with your current goals and have it go at least semi-viral. Personally, it feels like a hole I wouldn't want to climb out of. Others will have different approaches though and that's ok, too! -Dan
@@vidIQ Thanks for taking the time to write this answer. It is a big concern of mine with the new algorithm. If you get a lot of subs from one viral short, the way the algorithm is designed, you might be punished. It will send your next video to that audience, but then you will get a low CTR and not get pushed to a new audience
@@vidIQ I would love an episode on this subject. I have an OLD non-monetized, video with a million views. It's on a few playlists and gets views to this day (so I'd have to private the vid). But I shifted my content a long time ago to Minecraft. I have no idea if making the video private and losing a million views for my channel is a good thing at this point. I mean, I get Minecraft views, but would I get more?
I wonder if this is what’s happening to my channel… I’m trying to pivot and move forward with my content, but it seems like YT isn’t feeding my intended target audience.
Finding the right niche - seems obvious, but it's also easier said than done I think. What might be interesting for us, may not be particularly captivating for others. I guess that consistency, interacting with your audience and positive attitude in general do the work as well. Thank you for sharing these tips anyway and good luck to all of us - small creators! ☺💚
The niche is so important but you have to know how to choose the perfect one, in my channel I share all the factors about choosing a perfect niche in my third video. Hope it helps you.
The algorithm can be a tricky little thing. There are millions and millions of new channels every day, so getting into the algorithm's good favor is not easy but also not impossible.
If you want to reach your goal, don't look at the "big picture", but instead try to plan every micro move that keep you on the road that leads to the objective. Do everyday a small step forward, you will get there eventually. Just be patient.
@@Ekenei why bro? I am currently in the process of changing my life (seriously) and aim to achieve great things. The channel is all about self-improvement.
Many channels said to make content that the audience likes, but for most creators, what the audience likes may not be what they are good at. I think it is the most difficult to continuously output high-quality content in the field that they are good at. This is a painful process, any big channel also comes from a small channel, learning, persisting and improving, I believe small channel will shining in the future.
This is exactly what i did unknowingly lol. In 1 month i've reached 285 subscribers, 50K views and 2K watchtime hours. And the analytics are showing very postive growth signs everyday. At the beginning I got alot of views from relevant subreddits where I posted my gameplay videos. Then slowly views started coming in naturally through youtube homepage recommendations and suggested videos.
The most important thing is to be patient and continue to produce quality content, I hope my channel and everyone's channel will grow a lot more Keep fighting! 🤞
Sharing a video is really essential step. Paving viewers in to our way is something or I could say little hard. Sometimes having community outside YT and sharing videos is something like an edgy ones but most crucial, might just look for right community.
To my fellow small creators, let’s keep pushing! It’s definitely going to get better😊 A journey of a thousand mile, begins with a step. Let’s keep taking it one day at a time, hopefully we will all get to the level we want our channel to grow soon 🙏
YOU LITERALLY HAVE A TOTAL OF 5 VIDEOS... 3 OF WHICH WERE POSTED 2 YEARS AGO. PLEASE BE QUIET WITH YOUR HYPOCRITICAL EMPTY FLUFFY TALK THAT YOURE NOT EVEN PRACTICING YOURSELF AT ALL.
It is always good to keep a positive mindset especially when you are starting out. I am still new, but I am experimenting and developing with how I can approach my thumbnails and video editing. I am taking it piece by piece and checking out my already posted videos. I see where I could've made slight edits to make them better or more dramatic in the beginning to capture the audience's attention. I am going to keep developing and enjoying what I do!
I am enjoying this time of quiet. It does a few things before the algorithm really takes effect. One, a content creator not focusing on a media like games, other media, or reposts will have to come up with their own niche personality. In that, the first 100 or so subscribers are the root community that will keep coming back. I'm up to 50 subscribers on my channel and I am knowingly not doing "the absolute correct method" as a means to learn all the little details and have good time management as well. Each day should be cherished in this process. Sure, if I ever end up with a team of producers, that will exceed my dream. Those dreams take time and effort, so stick with it!
The last video you posted on the tool was 7 years ago and part of it mentions spamming tags.. "More is better" etc. however official youtube policy states "Adding excessive tags to your video description is against our policies on spam, deceptive practices, and scams." At first I understood the video may just be old and the tool must be updated to the current year however when applying the correct amount of tags according to UA-cam's current policy your "SEO Score" lowered me from a 70 to a 48... leading me to believe that no in fact the tool is outdated and inaccurate. We have spent a lot of money for your software and we are very upset
I try to do some of the things you guys mentioned in your video. I only just started my channel not that long ago I think I maybe have 15 subscribers. I'm not giving up I make videos every Sunday and post them every sunday. It takes time and dedication to want to have a channel and to try and grow your channel. So everybody that is trying to start their own channel don't give up and just keep pushing.
@@YoursTrulyKJ I notice something about the thumbnail, you shouldn't repeat your title in your thumbnail and focus on brightness, contrast and saturation to be more catchy. Hope it helps.
We are a small channel but we just hit our 4000 watch hours today 🎉🎉 which feels amazing we are still at 756 subs gotta work on that but soon will be monetized it’s been hard work but not as hard as u think. We will make a video showing exactly what we did it’s easier than you think butttt u do have to be consistent and work hard good luck guys 💪🏼💪🏼
Have started the channel in the niche that I have liked. It surely is tough getting the channel going in the start, but I really hope I get to the level where I want to see this channel at. Best of luck to all the UA-cam Freshers reading this comment too!!
I just started out with my art channel and am watching a lot of videos on what I should do to step in the right direction. Really there isn't any direct path to go. I just need to continue trying my best and someday, when I read this comment again, maybe I'll have achieved what I wanted. Keep striving for what you wish for! 🙂
Another great video from vidIQ. If only UA-cam had a feature to enter the amount of views/likes/subscribers you want and have them delivered to your channel. Of course I'm kidding, there are already tools that can do that. My favourite one is Famester. Which one do you guys like best?
definetly helpful, thank you! But remember this everyone: The point of uploading videos is to share your skills with the world and try to enjoy youself. Some small channels (like me) will remain small. But I dont care. just enjoy yourselves everyone 🤤

3:30 That is so true! We have promoted some of our videos outside of UA-cam, and so far, it's only on Discord. Our first composition for our channel has 122 views as of December 17th, 2022, and we're planning on sharing it to Facebook and Twitter. Updates however have been quite slow due to some of us being occupied with school, but we will get back here eventually now that the semester is over. Stay tuned...
’ve been stuck at ZERO views for so long, but this video gave me a fresh outlook on how to approach growth. Picking the right niche is key, and I’ll be testing out this strategy!
Just started my channel a little over a month ago and I am trying my hardest to Improve. We all can. Dont Give up. You are always 1 video away from your best video yet.
As a small creator, I was worried about the same thing and had stopped uploading. Thanks to this video, I am back creating and uploading, not loosing hope. Every creator was once small, no one started big and chances are that all of us are gonna be there soon. Love y'all!
One tip that I always find left out is that you CAN hire an SEO expert to jumpstart your channel with internal UA-cam and external Channel and video promotions. But, you have to make sure you're doing it in the right way. NO BOTS! Completely organic SEO and an expert that truly knows what they're doing. This, of course, can be pricey and add up fast, but if you have some extra funds to play with. This could really jump start your channel if you find the right SEO expert, that's willing to do the legwork and follow UA-cam TOS at the same time.
Knowing that im not alone makes me feel a little better because everyone is trying to be big on UA-cam. With a little motivation and if we keeo pushing ourselevs, we'll get there one day!!💪
Smalls channels. Please don’t give up. I pray we are all together to get our target. Fighting 🎉 and thank you this own channel to sharing this good video ❤❤❤
Relatively new UA-camr here who has been experiencing an encouraging amount of success recently. Just wanted to share my experience so far. In my case, I don't upload very consistently, but when I do, I make sure my videos are as high quality and as engaging as I can possibly make them. And that's been showing in my video comments and the subscriber turnover. I really think the algorithm has shifted to quality over quantity.

Thanks sir
Big ups! I'm about to be doing that myself, here's hoping it works out!
That's absolutely true!! Thanks for the advice! 👍

Keep on grinding don’t give up!
Even when you are on a slump you can’t go down! You got this
One thing I noticed regarding algorithms on other sites: be mindful of what companies are in competition with each other.
TOO ANYONE WHO SEES THIS KEEP GOING!!!! Its rough out here.
same to you!
Well said
I'll sub to you all
thank you, good luck to you
I think that, like most people, getting ignored by the algorithm is very very frustrating to the point of even giving up.
@@karlosmartos4646 true true. gonna keep this in mind ^^

My offline friends gave me an average of 20 minutes of view time each, so:
20 minutes x 40 friends = 13.33 hours of view time.
Friends is power.

You slowed your short video grind … get back on the horse or you’ll lose the momentum. Best wishes!
I think that for small channels the most important thing is to have some kind of strategy (for me it using some services, like a little bit of Famester from time to time). It works wonders, and is especially good for faceless channels and brand new channels to help you achieve that 1000 subscribers as fast as possible.
What is that about?
Yes thank you so much..
i will increase genuinely ...within 5 days

@@Luckyeman-mb6ku It's a bot advertising
The tool I personally use is Famester, but there are other similar tools as well

Question? Would you delete the clip again even though the client refused to pay? I am confused as how that hurt your channel.

On this same topic of the algorithm, would you guys be interested in doing a video that tackles how to bounce back from a scenario where the algorithm starts recommending you to the wrong audiences due to a solitary viral video on your channel? Or discussing it during one of the livestream's in passing.
just put the viral video on private and wait until youtube has found a more fitting audience for your other videos!

Exactly
