Regardless of your opinion of the movie, the real success of the sequel is the repair friendship of Kenan & Kel. There was a rift in the relationship once they went their separate ways as adults. Them reuniting and rekindling their chemistry was wholesome and brought me back to my childhood.
Same, I prefer them over D&J, drama aside.

Agreed. I'm glad for this. Ed's make up was chringe but all in all it's about the chemistry between the 2. Kenan is still as funny as when he was in All That. Even on SNL he has a certain humor about him. The way he always looks like he's trying not to laugh makes him funny still to this day.

I usually find "stupid guy humor" kinda grating.
But a lot of Ed's lines in this drove me to fits of laughter. It's not even great writing. Mitchell is just a funny actor.
He’s so awesome with his witty one liners: “it’s ok people her butt is fine!” “Boy you must really suck!” Etc
i actually enjoyed it, surprisingly. this sequel worked in my opinion because it kept its original 90s formula (no pun intended) from the aesthetics, comedy, writing it didn’t try to hard to appeal to the newer generation how most reboots, spin offs, & sequels do now which is why they fail. They understood their audience & made a film for the 90 kids that grew up on this movie & the humor that they can now introduce to their kids.

Here’s a great thought, after the sequel is made, just make a TV show out of it following highschoolers as they work the job and tackle life. But less of that, Nickelodeon, goofy stuff, and more Keenan and Kell vibes

this is why i damn wish i was a film director by now. i would've tried all my best to make the sequel worth watching. lol!! of course, hiring good screenwriters who know what they're doing.

its near unwatchable. People barely care to act at all and the special effects are some of the worst. The plot is also really, really dumb in almost every way.

I actually loved it. The scene with Fizz alone was iconic, then you got Eds son doing the best Ed impersonation since Kel Mitchell himself. Overall it's good. Yes it could've been better but it wasn't bad. I already watched it again.
It was like they listened to the people saying that the first movie is bad with no good moments. The first movie in my opinion is actually very well made and has a genuine heart to it. I know it’s goofy but they definitely got it right. In this sequel Ed’s wig is not believable, the jokes seem dumbed down, the villains aren’t interesting, and the nostalgic moments are too short and rushed. It really felt like an AI wrote it.
It's still the best Nick Reboot since the new iCarly

I'm interested to see what happens next in the Good Burger universe. These movies are 90s cheese but fun
Im 26, the movie actually came out the year I was born so I ended up watching it from reruns on Nick and The N (later Teen Nick). The movie is absolutely what I expected it to be. I didn’t expect it to be better than the first but it still met my standards for the same level of shenanigans. It got a few laughs out of me and it was nice to see an update on these characters. It did the job in my opinion. Honestly it’s on brand for Ed to have a fart joke to occur. My only gripe is Simbad should’ve played a much bigger part than he did in this sequel tho.
I can't lie I enjoyed the hell out of this I mean yeah it doesn't come close to the original but I feel like with this one it had a lot of heart just like that one.

I grew up with the Good Burger Skits & it doesn't come close to the original because it slightly surpasses the original.

One of my problems with the movie is dexter's character it's like he forgot all about good burger 1 and still lied to Ed and caused the whole problem in the first place.
Well yeah because remember Dexter was just there for a summer job. He still had other priorities and it wasn't him betraying Ed again, he legit thought it would work out. In good burger 1, Dexter tried to take majority of Ed's money. This one, Dexter knows Ed and talks with him about selling the business
You can't expect a sequel made over 25 years after the original to be as good.

As someone who saw the first one as a kid in the theater and loved this movie ever since I really liked this one and I'm glad they announced a potential 3rd one in the works (see yall in space). They really captured the feel and humor of the original for me and Dex and Ed are just as goofy as they were in the first movie. I was surprised how much I loved the new characters, especially Ed2, I think my only real downside to this movie is the villain as her relation to the first film just seemed like a quick way to set her up as the big bad with as little prep work as possible.
I didn’t know this movie came out already, at least it’s better than Zoey 102, granted anything is better than Zoey 102.
As a 27 year old man I have no shamed admitting Zoey 101 was underrated af and almost as good as Drake and Josh and Ned’s declassified

I definitely understand people not wanting it because Monk's arc is already complete though.

Look I’ll be honest, I like Good Burger because I was a kid when I saw it but I wouldn’t say it’s a good movie. I wouldn’t expect the sequel to be anything amazing. Good Burger 2 was about what I expected
It was still a decent movie. The first 1 was really good. Probably had more time and resources involved to make it. Now a days people just spit out movies cos its cheap and so many different platforms to stream on.

This was a good movie for a part 2 of 20 years later. Looks like they can spin it in to a tv show. With Ed son and Dexter niece. It has its issues but what more could you want from a sequel of 20 years later
I'm sure with time...this movie will become a cult classic. I mean look at White Chicks, Norbit, and Scary Movie 1 & 2. Those were films released in a time where no one appreciated them, but over the past 1 or 2 decades...they became classics and now have their own dedicated fandoms due to the nostalgia or a new-found appreciation for the product.
I was having some Dumb and Dumber To flashbacks watching this, knowing people are talented here like the leads but can't break free of the 5 clichés they try to repeat and fall hard on.
just saw it last night with a friend. it's not revolutionary or anything but it was definitely entertaining. I'd say 7/10, but if this movie had legit come out 5 years later? It'd be better but still not as good as the first. it legit made me feel better when i saw the bad cgi because it felt like it was paying tribute to that era of kids movie tv's imo even though it was probably just a budget thing. Given the rest of the movie, I don't think I could call it lazy. Weird how much I wrote about this shit lmao.

One of the better sequels, it does have its flaws. Of course, Eddl carried the movie. 6/10

I understand your points but where I see it most revivals like this one change it too much and that’s what everyone hates, this movie stuck to what it was good at and executed it all the character dynamics fit, had the same aura as the first film and through and through really feels like a true sequel to the first one I give it a 3.5-4/5

Idk bro, I really liked it. I feel like we are the same age watching all that and the original as kids. I thought it was funny and definitely was in the same style as the first. I get your criticism maybe its too much like the first but this was definitely made for us old folks (aged 25-35) lol. I appreciate the effort they put in. The new cast they had as employees were great. The obvious advertisement was too much and the second half slowed down but its definitely a good watch if you liked the first

hey Mr. Nostalgia. I love your content. I was wondering if you could do a movie review on Max Keeble’s Big Move. I’m not sure if it’s a DCOM but it was made un Disney productions. It’s definitely one of those movies people forget about unless you mention it to them. It’s like the Naked Brother’s Band of Disney movies if that makes sense. This movie also had a stacked cast like Josh Peck, Orlando Brown, Tony Hawk, Lil Romeo, and the dude that played Lizzie Miguire’s dad. Anyway, I can’t wait for your Kickin It review
I got that on VHS from blockbuster as a kid (the 2 night rental cause it was new haha) and I watched it a handful of times! Not that many people talk about that movie, I enjoyed it and would also rewatch it whenever disney channel or abc family showed it
Every clip I see of Good Burger 2 Keenan Thompson looks absolutely miserable to be in the movie. Idk if his character is written like that, but even in real life interviews and promotions for this movie Keenan looks so pissed off😂

The movie was good but Kennan Thompson acted like he didn’t even want to be there. Made no sense that his child self is more charismatic and funny then his adult self. Kel did a fantastic job! Wish Kennan would have put the same effort in as Kel.

Filmed in Rhode Island I was an extra on the movie very interesting seeing “LA” depicted in places that just have CGI palm trees

It wasn’t great but there was some chuckle moments (and I’m a Good Burger lover! I had the VHS tape and tried to make my own Ed Sauce). Ed’s son was a good addition. The kid was funny. Would I watch it again? No, but I’m glad I did give it a chance
I liked this movie, and I love how it touched on labor relations and the flaws of the capitalist corporate structure.
Personally, I liked this movie. Although this had zany and silly moments, the first one did as well. I noticed some scenes with Kenan didn't have as much "emotion" compared with the first film, but he and Kel still have great chemistry together. Once the trailer showed Dexter hit by the Burger mobile and land on the passenger's seat unscathed, I knew this film is one where "logic" and "physics" are out the window. We also got some short cameos from Lori Beth Denberg, Josh Server, Carmen Electra, Sinbad, and Shar Jackson who were all in the first movie. Although this sequel has rehashed jokes and scenes from the first film, many sequels tend to do that (I lost count on Terminator sequels that used the same story & tropes) but when they entertain many, why change it? If I may say, it was nice to see a film that didn't explicitly push one's political agenda. This film shows the danger of automation in the workforce, especially the food industry, but they also poke fun at human error.

I haven't seen it yet and the trailer doesn't really make me excited to see it. I always wanted Mondo Burger to return in the sequel in some way but unfortunately we're getting androids. I just know before I even watch the movie it could have been better.

As a 90s kid my self i loved the first good burger movie when i was growing up. But as of now the anticipated sequal was good but not as funny like the original. And i can see kids now would like this. But for me well not so very much. Again i watched it had a few laughs but it was just a little boring at times. I would recommend to all those kids right now to watch and see the original good burger they will enjoy it.
Good burger 2 was okay imo, I liked it at least. I do feel like kel Mitchell and Alex hibbert carried the movie, those 2 were hilarious. I only really laughed at the Ed/Ed2 parts of the movie.

I saw it. I was never a mega fan of the original, but the sequel was okay. Kinda forgettable. I love Kenan, but je seemed to barely want to be there in this movie.
