Thank you, you have just shown me that that tent will definitely do everything I want it to do, seeing it preform in that weather is something it's not going to have to put up with on my nights out but knowing that it can do it is a good peace of mind , so thank you again and a budget tent will definitely do me ! ❤
That stone hut thing that you mentioned was called a barn where farmers stored winter feed and would double up as a place for sheep and lambs in severe snow and farmer would someti.mes keep tractor in there and fencing materials and ??????. Good video. Good wild camp good dry sense of humour.
Just started watching your vids after coming across your channel a week ago. Love it. The 'good bloke' part of the channel name seems legit. Enjoy just chilling and watching you progress in your outdoor journey. Peace out! Inabit! 😄😎 stay safe Liam mate. Well wishes from Sheffield bro 😎
5:01 I always come across Yorkshire folk calling it God's own country and taken it with a pinch of salt! Had a holiday in the Yorkshire Dales last year, WOW, they were right! Yorkshire is beautiful!
Ya man did good. Enjoyed your vid very much and not able to do this sort of thing myself so live vicariously through people like yourself. Thank you muchly.👍
I love your videos as I used to go to the Lakes with my family growing up and I haven't been there in donkeys years. More than anything I love the fact it's just you and no music as I just feel fried so easily these days and it's like we're on the hike with you. It's just nice and relaxing even when there's gusts of 50mph!Thanks ever so much for making such great videos and well done on that hike up The Corridor I think it was called and on Scarfell Pike, again,I think it was?! ;)
Just watched your video with my wife Maggi Twigg, must say I enjoyed it, especially when the wind got a bit on the rough side. Hope to see more of your video's, good luck and keep them coming.
I subbed after two of your videos. You have a lovely channel. Nice pace and a nice way of storytelling. I fell asleep two times but re-watched later. Keep up the good work. We need more of this slower paced real life experiences. Going on a hike next week as well. Cloud peak 1. We'll see how it holds up as I just bought it.
Great vid mate. I'm just getting back into wild camping & hiking after a few years out. Been trying to decide between a Lanshan 2 & the Cloud Peak 2 but after seeing how well yours coped in the wind with your mods I think it's helped me decide! Good job 👍
That little sandwich shop/ cafe there on road when you're on way back to car is banging if it's still open. 5/5 vlog mate love the positivity, i'd of been well moody after a night like that one.
Great videos Liam, I enjoy watching your adventures. Quick thought on the 4 season mod....cutting off an inch and a half off standard size poles and shock cord will bring the fly to the floor. All the best 👍
Great one mate 👍 loved the way you walked past the B&B 😂 that's the spirit 👍 many people would have stayed at home in the shite weather but not you.... Cheers for the video Liam, take care mate 👍👍🙏🙏
In England, we go camping, BECAUSE its raining. Nothing like camping in the rain for a few days. I live about an hour for Gordale Scar. Nice to meet a local Northerner.
You are braver than me. I would have headed down and home. What poles where you using may I ask and where did you get them please. Only just found you great video. Thanks
Hi mate, thanks for watching, i’ve done another video about the cloud peak 2 about a month or so ago about the mods i’ve done, the poles are from ali express.
Stumbled across your channel yesterday. Loving the content. Quickly becoming one of my favourite channels. What was the omm waterproof you was wearing. Looks like a omm kamleika 5th gen running jacket????
Great video, really enjoyed it. Good to see the Cloud Peak 2 stand up to what sounded like some pretty strong winds. While watching I was just hoping The CP2 survived the night, so glad it did, I absolutely love that tent. Just out of interest Liam, where did you purchase the thicker poles, How much and did you have to cut them down or alter them. I still have the 7.5mm poles, but haven't experienced gusts of wind like that so far.
Thanks mate, the poles are from ali express 9.5mm 7001 aluminium.. and yeah had to cut them down to the same size as the originals.. however, you’l see in my next video i pushed them a bit too far 🫣 but more user error than anything. Brilliant tent though.
@@karlheyes18 mine do, no problem at all.. i have the old style where it clips fully round the pole and with the T door , not sure about the newer style where it twists onto the pole.
Fantastic adventure and video! I have done similar upgrades to my Cloud Peak 2, ie the guide line powerup and thicker bungee on its hat. Where did you get the upgraded purple poles from? There are some similar looking ones on Ali Express? Did you have to bend the ends of the poles like the original supplied ones?
Thanks for watching mate , they are 9.5mm 7001 aluminium ordered from ali express, you need at least 4m length ( x3 ) then cut down to size to match your original poles.

A little belated, but happy new year bud. Janet's Foss looked cool, lovely little waterfall, Gordale Scar is deffo on my bucket list, as that waterfall is probably one of the best in England and a stones throw away from a campsite which is very convenient 😀. It's so lucky that you had the forethought about wanting to get your tent pegs in because of the wind that was impending. Quite funny that turds have been in your last 2 vids, your teacup in your last vid and sheep sh*t in this one 💩 🤣 😆. They looked like fillet and sirloin steaks, almost like a T-bone without the bone in lol, looked good 👌. Damn lucky you checked them pegs again, brutal winds. Cool vid, catch you on your next adventure ✌️ 🤟. Ps. If you're interested in a more versatile tent as you mentioned in the vid, I have one for sale (Terra Nova pioneer 2) only used for 2 camps and only one night each time (footprint unused) message me on Instagram if you are, if not its cool, thought I'd put it out there.
