Love your stuff man. I'm in my late 70s so I can't go out like when I was younger. But watching your stuff is the nearest thing to it. Well done and keep it up, but be careful.
I’ve been thinking about getting the cloud peak and was glad to see that it held up in the cold. I really enjoyed your video. It’s the first one I’ve seen of yours. I like your sense of humour and your films and drone shots were spectacular. I was watching this, thinking about asking you for details of the gear you use and saw you’d beaten me to it and listed everything! What more could I ask for? So I subscribed and I’m looking forward to seeing more. The scenery up there is gorgeous. Cool accent too btw. Thanks for making this video 👍
Brilliant video this is, i absolutely love snowy landscape, the drone footage and music that went with it was awesome I would rather be out in the cold that the heat, heat makes me tired
Great video pal as always, having watched your channel and haze outdoors and Paul messner I’ve now bought all my budget gear and just waiting for my Temu tent to arrive so I can go and try my own first wild camp up at malham cove after loving your video on that. You lot have all inspired me to get out there and try it for myself, cheers Liam keep the content coming mate
One of your brst vids, inspiring, i think between Christmas and new year on my way back to the Fens from visiting family in Manchester if the weathers cold but dry i might camp out at this one. I'll take the easier but longer route up, that gully looks a bit much mid winter. I might even take my modded Cloud Peak 2, I've upgraded my poles like you to 9.5mm and the guys are now Dyneema based plus i have the fully fitted footprint. Thanks for a superb vid.
Another fantastic video! You bring a new vibe to wild camping scene…..refreshing to say the least. Good sense of humour and banter, it really works well. Keep up the good work. I’m just working through the other videos you have produced 😃👍👏👏👏👏👏 ps, can’t wait to see the Hilleberg Soulo in action 💪

You sou d Yorkshire lad to me, no idea so don't take the hump if I'm wrong😏 you sound d bit like Hazey anyhow good video think I.ll have a look at more of your stuff pal
What another unbelievably beautiful location. I lived outside Oldham for 3 years back at the end of the 90s and I really wish I'd made more use of my time there and explored the Peak and Lake Districts more than the very little I managed!
Thanks for watching mate, yeah i’m an hour away from Peak District and 2 hours away from Lake District and until this year i’d never been to either 😅 certainly hooked now though.
Awesome video, ive never camped at that exact spot but ive walked there many times, it would be busy as hell in summer, winter was definitely the best time to camp there👍🏻
The site where you pitched up for the night (Wimberry Moss) is, to my reckoning JUST inside the boundary of The Peak District. Right on the periphery as it were. You were correct about it being referred to also as Indian's Head. This is the local name as opposed to its official (map) name of Wimberry Moss. The reason it is referred to locally as Indian's Head is due to the fact that when viewed from a certain vantage point, a clear profile of a Red Indian, complete with feathered chief's head dress, can be discerned. A useful tip (or not!) when Winter camping, is to invest in a couple of hand warmers. These cheap additions to your kit can be a real useful item. On the few times I have Winter camped, I have tucked a couple of these at the bottom of my sleeping bag. They emit a warmth that usually lasts for several hours.
100g cannister will with care last a week but with the temperatures you had its gonna struggle (as it did) I always keep my boots inside the tent, if their wet I just use a plastic bag to put them in, keeps them from freezing.
Yeah very true mate, certainly had a 100g last me a couple days without worrying about it emptying, i was more concerned about it freezing over and struggling to produce a high flame which is what I was struggling with at first.. It seemed to be ok once i wrapped the gas in a spare pair of socks and kept it inside the tent in between using it. Managed to get everything boiled that i needed to 👍🏼
Thank you 😊 and yeah think Winter has become my favourite season for wild camping, especially the no wind, no rain, snowy as well as clear skies 😅 everything you could ask for from a winter camp. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏼
I think the last tent you had was a wee bit better, it had more tieing out points for guy lines and a shower 🚿 to boot, plus the hh was out of this world at 47000 🤣. Seriously bud, it was a good video and you definitely got some great views 👌. I've had my cloud peak out at -6 and it did really well tbh. That was in December of last year. Come Wednesday which is the shortest day of the year, Thursday will slowly make the nights shorter and the days longer...yay. I know you didn't show it, but I bet you tried that iced up chocolate that was in ya cup😋 i would of out of curiosity 😆. See you on your next adventure, in the meantime, have a merry Christmas and a very happy New year 🎉 😀 😊. Here's to 2023 and hoping it'll be better for all of us 🤙🥂.
Lmao i actually wondered what tent you were on about then but ahhh yes the big boi shelter from last week 😅😅 Yeah really decent tent for the money, I can imagine it gets pretty cold if the sleeping system wasn’t up to scratch with it having a lot of mesh but i find it ok. I had a little nibble but was too cold on the teeth 😅😅😅 Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment mate , all the best to you n have a good Christmas! Take care
Consider once you've removed your boots for bed, put each one in a plastic bag, then place them inside the bottom end of your sleeping bag. It's a little crowded for your feet, but at least the boots won't freeze.
Great content mate. Subbed yesterday when YT decided to suggest your adventures. I grew up in Liverpool so I know and even worked in a lot of the places you visit, but I moved to Norway in 2010. So seeing a snowy vid makes me feel at home. You need to get yer sen over here and do some hiking in the winter. 🤘🤘
Good to see ya back,,I’ve noticed you’ve got the thicker poles, exactly what I want ,,can you give me some info,,cost thickness, who supplies them,,cheers,,merry Xmas ,Andy
Brilliant video, discovered your channel tonight after seeing your facebook post. As a Cloud Peak 2 owner myself i was instantly drawn to it. Really enyoyed the video, love your presentation style as well. Great advice with the food tips, leaving the stuff that you could eat cold till last. I always take a Trangia stove and a small bottle of meths with me along with my gas stove just in case. I'll be off out this weekend up on The West Pennine Moors. Itching to go now after watching this🙂. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. 👍
Thank you , glad you found the channel 👍🏼 Cloud Peak 2 is a great tent for the money. I was actually looking into getting a basic Trangia set up yesterday as a back up or to try something different. Say If i was going for 1 nights camping, 4 brews and a boil in the bag meal or 2 how much alcohol do they use?
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors I'd say about 200ml of Meths. I always carry a bit extra, just in case in small plastic screw top bottles. Cheapest place I've seen Methylated Spirit is Home Bargains, £1.79 for 500ml

Nice one Liam. Did you know that one of those Gullies avalanched a few decades ago, its the only avalanche to date in the Peak District. If i am not mistaken it wasn't the one that you said that you and your mate hiked up but one further to the left as you look down towards Dovies Res. You could do with some army softie trousers or some down trousers plus some down mittens and a higher fill down jacket for those conditions also when you get to camp in icy snowy conditions you should get a dry pair os socks on then put a dry bag over each of your socks then put your boots back on and this will keep your feet warmer for longer while you potter about. If you dont change your socks for bone dry ones then the moisture will start to freeze up...ATB and have a fantastic festive season and awesome New Year, God Bless.
Hi mate, no I didn’t know about the avalanche 🫣😳 I’ve got some down trousers and down booties from my sister as a Christmas gift so they’l be out in the next camp 👍🏼 I use sealskin socks to put on over my normal socks whenever I put my boots back on and they seemed to of done the trick so far. Hi mate Just discovered your vids, really good. Great content, good editing. Like your style, no nonsense. Better than a lot of the dross out there. Surprised you don’t get a lot more views. I’ve got the cloud peak as well, heavy but love it. I started wild camping about a year ago and have stuck a few videos on if you wanna check em, tho I’m not hard core (too old and too soft southern). Still love it tho. Keep it up son, great viewing Currently waiting for my six year old to wake up, so thought I’d message you before hell breaks loose Merry Christmas
Hi mate thank you for the comment, i appreciate all that hopefully start to build some momentum in 2023 and get some decent views 👍🏼 Yeah, Cloud Peak 2 brilliant tent for the money. I’ll check your channel out bud. All the best for 2023
Yeah 9.5mm instead of 8mm, they seem a lot stronger but not had it out in bad wind to test yet. Full video on the pole upgrade coming soon, thanks for watching and i appreciate you commented mate !
I've not got a naturehike myself and you're entitled to your opinion about them but I think you're wrong, they might be cheap but clearly not rubbish, Liam proved it by camping in icy conditions with it and he's lived to tell the tale so it can't be all that bad, yes it was iced up the next morning but any tent would be, like he said it's not a 4 season tent so he's kinda pushed it to it's limit for what it is, at the end of the day it depends on what you've got and where you're camping with it, obviously it wouldn't be any good on top of ben nevis in a snow storm but that wasn't the case, he camped near rocks with a bit of shelter from wind and all went well, everyone can't afford to go out and spend several hundred pounds on a tent, or they might be starting out to see if it's something they want to get serious about first without breaking the bank. As the old adage goes "One man's trash is another mans treasure".
A bit harsh, it's only cheap because you tend to buy direct from the manufacturer in China. Remember everything you buy in the UK that comes from a retailer has extra margins built in. For example a £500 -£600 tent would cost £200 if you were able to buy it from the manufacturer in China which is where most mid priced tents come from.
So funny ,interesting, imformative, entertaining and deffo best on You tube imo❤🎉🌄

Yes bro glad you liked the video mate, all the best for 2023 and all that shite 👊🏽
Hi mate
Just discovered your vids, really good.
Keep it up son, great viewing
Currently waiting for my six year old to wake up, so thought I’d message you before hell breaks loose
Merry Christmas
Hi mate thank you for the comment, i appreciate all that hopefully start to build some momentum in 2023 and get some decent views 👍🏼
Yeah, Cloud Peak 2 brilliant tent for the money.
I’ll check your channel out bud.
All the best for 2023
Have you upgraded the poles on your cloud peak 2?
Yeah 9.5mm instead of 8mm, they seem a lot stronger but not had it out in bad wind to test yet. Full video on the pole upgrade coming soon, thanks for watching and i appreciate you commented mate !
Do you have a link to where you ordered them from please
Where do I get a GBO hat?
Very Soon mate 👌🏼
Great editing and choice of music, it looked and felt like you were on a different, desolate but beautiful planet
Thank you , i made the music after the wild camp, glad you liked it. Thanks for watching and commenting 😊
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors You made the music yourself? Wow, well produced, top drawer👍
@@ChicaLocaGB yeah on all the vids, any music featured i produced.. cheers mate 👍🏼👍🏼
put your boots at bottom of sleeping bag in side
it called fly parking....... people just cant mind their own business
Locals still call it Indians head
I can see why 😅.. but yeah wasn’t sure what people call it to be fair just know I seen it referred to that on a few photos that i’d seen on Facebook.
Why do people keep buying these cheap crap naturehike tents? They are rubbish!!
Hey great videos and the drone footage music in this clip is excellent 👍👍👍 well done keep up the great work
Thank you 😊👍🏼
