Dude no. I don't thing you realize some of the problems that would cause. Often times, you need to be shooting the other team while you capture the objective. You can't really do that if you are holding out a stick. Different suggestion. Give it more benefits when it comes to completing the objective. A simple suggestion there would be giving either a slight damage boost or slight damage resistance when standing on one of your points on defense. You could give the player a slight boost to their movement speed while carrying the intelligence or while in proximity to the player carrying the enemy intel. I guess you could also give a slight buff to damage vs players holding your intel. Player destruction could follow something along the lines of the eyelander, causing the player to move faster and faster the more pickups they are carrying. This of course maxes out at four. Also, damage bonus vs the enemy mvp (that's the guy with the most pickups). I don't think that payload defense can work quite like defense on attack defense given how small the area is for the payload cart, so we will extend the effective area to a good area around any cart path objects. If you are within a jarate and a half of the track the payload cart travels, you get the defensive effects. And to indirectly buff the pain train, we will give the rocket jumper and the sticky jumper weapons a -1 capture rate. The jumper weapons already prevent you from scoring in CTF, PD, and PT, so why not apply that to any payload and control point based gamemode. But you are able to circumvent that inability to capture the objective by opting into a 10% bullet vulnerability. Now whatever is done needs to be able to be simplified to something you can slap in a weapon description. Given how massive the description is for the dragon's fury, I think that 20 lines of text is the maximum.
@@redstonewarrior0152 That's interesting, but you have to remember that the core design of the pain train is to make capturing objectives easier at the cost of having to be more vulnerable.

So yeah, loved the video, loved the edit, loved everything. Keep up the great work man !

Keep doing good zesty, you're already approaching top tier animation, that into was on par with something out of a LazyPurple video!
Your description of the Eyelander is incredibly accurate. It's undeniably the easiest way to play Demoknight, and Valve clearly intended this because they literally give new players the Eyelander for completing a few achievements. It's babies first Demoknight sword, and that's ok.
After 6 months in development, I'd say this was worth the wait. The editing was very entertaining and you managed to make the topic of weapon stats very interesting (yet again), though your tiredness and fatigue did show through in the more information dump-y bits. In some of your earlier videos like the Battalion's Backup one, its clear from the very inflections of your voice that you were satisfied with what you were making and happy with the end result; this one not so much. So if I had to give any serious criticism, don't worry about pleasing the audience so much that you psyche yourself out, go have fun and leave the raging twitter pissbabies to their own devices.
Surprised you didn't mention this but the eyelander can transfer heads! As long if you have the same sword you can switch out primary and secondary weapons with any amount of heads, making grenade/sticky/sword possible with 4 heads
The amby change will forever be a mystery to me. As for the B.A.S.E. jumper, I'll be honest I'm glad I don't see it often. The other weapons mentioned are in a sad state though.
Actually a note that literally matters not at all: the steak actually has a hidden damage vulnerability when eaten meaning TECHNICALLY it’s a damage vulnerability on a non melee weapon (that forces you to use melee while the vulnerability is active so like actually proves your point further)
I genuinely laughed at "you weren't being very wholesome 420 keanu chungus today" being told by a home invader In all seriousness though, I think another way of thinking about the persian persuader is that it's like the widowmaker but for melee; it greatly reduces your downtime spent "reloading" as long as you keep hitting your shots.
Zestys creative movie making skills are squandered on us heathens memeing and joking. always love seeing the well made videos you do and hopefully you get scouted for a good editors role somewhere
27:05 “we won’t nerf sniper so we’ll give heavy 500 health” That’s so sad to think about but that was probably the thought process. Like man to be in that mindset when balancing a game must blow.

@@danielsurvivor1372 sniper is op because you have to adapt to him unlike every other class in the game which requires no adaptation to counter. Well said!
@@garm2287 I understand the point youre trying to make, but its a neut one when, in snipers case, EVERYBODY in your team (and even sometimes in their own enemy team) HAS to play around a SINGLE player JUST because of the class they are playing and NOT because of how naturally skilled they are at said class. Every single class BESIDES sniper has a multitude of individual matchups and counter that makes their interactions nuanced, meanwhile Sniper is just *play around his sightline and flank while being scout or spy* or simply *be a sniper yourself* . Tell me what other class in the entire game *requires* to be countered by ITSELF in order for your team to suceed? No but yeah, Sniper is super okay
I just love using the claid with the loose cannon and tide turner, it's a really dopamin inducing playstyle, because you can double donk, then finish off easily with a charge. It's just so fun, even though it's not viable. You can also use the iron bomber or stock if you want more consistency
Yeah, I love the Eyelander but I wish the others had more than just specialty roles. I feel the health and the speed should be split into two swords, Equalizer style.
maybe if either both aspects are boosted in their individual swords or if it is a leaning thing (250 hp, less speed or 175 hp, more speed) because otherwise it may make demoknight to fragile or slow to approach
I’ve honestly always enjoyed the Pain Train on Hybird Knight! Double Capture rate can be wildly effective when you just need that one last touch to push the cart over the edge or the last point to cap just that Nth faster. The bullet vulnerability is hindering, sure, but if you use the Tide Turner strictly to coward out like me, then it’s a great way to get out of hairy situations with Flanking Scouts or Funny Suprise Heavies. This was a great vid, enjoyed the shit out of it. Can’t wait for the next one.
the quality of the work done in this video is just off the charts. the first five minutes sold me. also just your accent in your voice made me feel right at home coming from Texas. Time in the oven well spent
I don't know why people think it's so bad. It's a bit of a boring design sure, but it's got a good upside for a very minor downside on the two classes it's on
Completely agree with the section discussing the Eyelander. The issue with it, compared to other Snowball weapons, is there's too much to gain for it. Take the Kunai for example; while the health you get is great, your ability to capitalize on it, comes down to the situation you are in, what gun/watch you have, and whether or not you're being pursued. As a result, while it can allow you to do crazy things, it's easily shut down if played properly. Or the Frontier Justice, which requires enemies to run into your sentry, so you can get crits to use, and punish players. Or the Bazaar Bargain, which requires headshots to over you an increased charge, but you're still a Sniper, so you can be countered if an enemy flanks you. Each one of these snowball weapons, offers you a bonus, at the risk of building all that potential into a moment, but the Eyelander, basically takes this into overtime. Since each head gives you movement, Shield Bash damage, and Health; you basically just turn into a tank, that cannot be killed unless you take extreme focus fire. Combine this with the option to go back into respawn to switch loadouts to give you a Grenade Launcher, and you just become stupidly broken. Demoknight maybe hella fun to play, but he sure as f*ck isn't fun to fight when he gets like this "Just go Pyro and airblast him." This only works maybe 50% of the time, as sometimes Demo's melee will just ignore the airblast and decide you get crit anyway; and most of the time, he'll just run away to resupply, since you can't chase him. The only downside the Eyelander has, is starting off weak, but it's not too hard to farm heads off Dead Ringer Spys, or blind players and become invincible unless someone singles you out.
Wait, Zesty goes outside? That six months where you got stranded on the beach was definitely worth the live-action skit opener, though. Really getting MrBaffaCake vibes, which is great.
fun fact: the title of the video is a reference to the hit anime series “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures” and its spinoff video games “Jojo Sword” and “Jojo Shield”
I mainly like outspeeding scouts so id be fine at 175 health while outspeeding scouts but i will hate the shotgun knockback like always But yeah buffing the eyelander is a hell no
There is one thing I like about the skullcutter. With a lot of melees that desire to be used offensively like the warriors spirit and powerjack, there's a harsh downside that punishes the player for using it as such. The thing about the skullcutter is that random crits have a higher chance of happening when more damage is dealt, and the one upside of the weapon is that it deals more damage. At least valve is consistent on weapon ideas with it
Zesty, i really like your videos, but everytime you say that people are gonna complain in the comments about your opinions it ruins the pace, we already know they will
When Zesty goes on Vacation but he still creates footage for his next video WHILE on vacation and makes a whole-ass narrative for his biggest project yet that involves him having been dropped on a deserted island simply to justify why he is involving live-action scenes that happens to be on a beach in Hawaii. This is the level of mental and para-physical gymnastics he goes through JUST FOR US TO GET FUCKING CONTENT. This man's production value is intense
19:02 There are defenders for the Ambassador nerf (among them myself, it's still really strong and a lot of fun but a sniper that has the mobility and awareness of a spy is way too strong). There are no defenders for the Caber nerf.
Oh, hey, the video is up again!! Thanks for making the effort to readjust to youtube's stupid rules and making this piece of art available for us to see again
The intro and the outro are what make this video. I can't believe I had to sit through a blonde Hiccup complain about fans of a funny way to play for 30 minutes. Still happy with the editing skills though, kudos.
I really enjoyed this video in the current day and age of modern "weapon reviews". Nowadays people run out of thought or substance to talk about so they just start rambling off things you can use it for like in mvm, listing all the random damage thresholds against sandman scouts, big earner spys, vitasaw meds etc, bring on a competitive player to talk for 5 minutes when the video is supposed to be talked about in a casual setting. UA-camrs like to ignore random crits because they don't like them but the fact of the matter is they are a part of casual's balance and I liked how you took them into consideration when arguing the bottle's use over other melees. The video was clearly discussing demoknight in valve casual, me like. Though you did speak about it at the end and put up little pointers at the beginning demoman is, in casual the best class when played right. Demoman in sixes is considered just as valuable as a medic because of his damage potential, spam, ability to lock down entire chokes by himself, traps, and the ability to delete any group of players in ~1.1-1.2 seconds (shoot sticky then switch to grenade launcher and fire pipe, det sticky as pipe hits them to break every damage threshold but a heavy). Now put that against casual with random crits and double the player count where he doesn't need his inconsistent team's support like medic/sniper to stay alive? zamn. I would have liked to see some talk about trading stock demoman, an absolute beast dps team destroyer to a flank/1v1 class that thrives in individual dm away from the main action. It was kind of alluded to but never directly stated/had a segment other than the end calling demoknight a gimmick, I felt it would have been great at the begging, keeping it in mind going into the video.

In case anyone was wondering and didn't want to go through the effort themselves here you go. Names have been checked with the TF2 Wiki and evaluated by a 8k+ hour tf2 player. The only uncertainty is which is the Stickybomb Launcher and which is the Scottish Resistance or if they're both one or the other.
People just dwell on it being worthless in ctf
@@majorghoul9017 fair enough, it definitely is useless on ctf lol

5:53 Loved working for you Zesty ! Im looking for the next time i can contribute to one of yout videos. On the topic of the video, it came out really awesome. It was definitely worth the wait to see this kind of quality which is pretty much unmatched in the tf2 community the edits are gold, the arguments make sense, the humour was top tier. So yeah, loved the video, loved the edit, loved everything. Keep up the great work man !
Holy shit this fucking rocked, once again a masterpiece as always. Even if you get salty the reason I love you is because you aren't ashamed for how you think. And you want to preserve the game's lifeblood. Your love for the game is pure. You like Tf2 the way it is (minus the bots) flaws and all and you dont want to tear the core game out by the roots. Keep doing good zesty, you're already approaching top tier animation, that into was on par with something out of a LazyPurple video!

Glad you're back zesty, we need more casual oriented content creators like you
Bro I turned away for like a second and now you’re on a desert island, the zestyjesus lore is crazy

Thanks, and have fun.
His favorite class is the Demoman.
Surprised you didn't mention this but the eyelander can transfer heads! As long if you have the same sword you can switch out primary and secondary weapons with any amount of heads, making grenade/sticky/sword possible with 4 heads
God I love the Persian persuader, those moments where you get a massive chain off is just wonderful
The amby change will forever be a mystery to me. As for the B.A.S.E. jumper, I'll be honest I'm glad I don't see it often. The other weapons mentioned are in a sad state though.
zesty chilling in the middle of nowhere with a spy volleyball is probably the most wholesome he will ever get and i love it
NEW ZESTY JESUS!!!!!!
makin some retro zesty intros
Actually a note that literally matters not at all: the steak actually has a hidden damage vulnerability when eaten meaning TECHNICALLY it’s a damage vulnerability on a non melee weapon (that forces you to use melee while the vulnerability is active so like actually proves your point further)
Critacola
I genuinely laughed at "you weren't being very wholesome 420 keanu chungus today" being told by a home invader
In all seriousness though, I think another way of thinking about the persian persuader is that it's like the widowmaker but for melee; it greatly reduces your downtime spent "reloading" as long as you keep hitting your shots.
You just strait look like Jesus on a day 10 of walking in a desert
The Lord of all that is Zesty is back.

Zestys creative movie making skills are squandered on us heathens memeing and joking.
always love seeing the well made videos you do and hopefully you get scouted for a good editors role somewhere
It took him 5 minutes. Just. To. Start.
27:05 “we won’t nerf sniper so we’ll give heavy 500 health”
That’s so sad to think about but that was probably the thought process. Like man to be in that mindset when balancing a game must blow.
Sniper: Influences an entire game just by EXISTING and forcing ppl to adapt to HIM even tho Sniper was meant to be an off class
Sniper apologists: Nah Sniper is balanced u guys!
I want the Clademor to have 25HP on kill that could give 50HP overheal as a option to make it less of a specialized Shield Demo item.
That castaway intro was so well shot. Like the camera angles were just beautiful.
ofc the most replayed part of the video is "zestybunny.png"
I’ve honestly always enjoyed the Pain Train on Hybird Knight! Double Capture rate can be wildly effective when you just need that one last touch to push the cart over the edge or the last point to cap just that Nth faster. The bullet vulnerability is hindering, sure, but if you use the Tide Turner strictly to coward out like me, then it’s a great way to get out of hairy situations with Flanking Scouts or Funny Suprise Heavies. This was a great vid, enjoyed the shit out of it. Can’t wait for the next one.
Thank you for the upload Zesty, it was worth the wait. Keep making amazing work dude
the quality of the work done in this video is just off the charts. the first five minutes sold me. also just your accent in your voice made me feel right at home coming from Texas. Time in the oven well spent

Thank god someone dosent shit on the pain train
I love using it so much and I have made some good pushes with it and the random crits are amazing
I don't know why people think it's so bad. It's a bit of a boring design sure, but it's got a good upside for a very minor downside on the two classes it's on
10:31 Well thank you Zesty. I do love me loose cannon hybrid knight with the eyelander.
i'm glad i'm not the only one who realizes just how good the persuader is with the targe.

this video is so incredibly well edited, I barely play the game anymore but I watch you because I love your passion and style too damn much.
9:33 uuuuuuuuuuuuuuh is that what I think it is?! pyrocynical rolling over in his grave rn.

Good video. I learned quite a bit from it, and the editing is superb as always. Bravo zesty, stop eating my liver collection though.
fun fact: the title of the video is a reference to the hit anime series “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures” and its spinoff video games “Jojo Sword” and “Jojo Shield”
19:49 Good heavens, a Falling Down reference .... NICE!
persian persuader / scottish resistance / base jumper is the REAL demoman subclass
I mainly like outspeeding scouts so id be fine at 175 health while outspeeding scouts but i will hate the shotgun knockback like always But yeah buffing the eyelander is a hell no
I like the fact zesty used a clip from Falling Down. Great movie to watch.
also pls bring back the 2nd server for us fans from europe zebsty
Sometimes when I'm feeling particularly masochistic, I run eyelander+Loch n Load
Honestly I didnt expect UT3 OST as background music

5:53 The weapons on the screen are. The bottle, (In the hands of the Demoman in the center.) In case anyone was wondering and didn't want to go through the effort themselves here you go. Names have been checked with the TF2 Wiki and evaluated by a 8k+ hour tf2 player. The only uncertainty is which is the Stickybomb Launcher and which is the Scottish Resistance or if they're both one or the other. Even on the last frame they're on screen I was not able to tell definitively.
