So usually when I record for Mann's Guide, I spend quite a bit of time with the weapon I'm covering. That results in a lot of funny moments that I don't really want to go to waste. Here are some of the extra clips that I got for the Huntsman episode, along with some extra Behind the Scenes goodies! Well, sort of - thing is, I have so many behind-the-scenes topics to talk about, and so much extra huntsman footage, that this video’s scope ballooned out into something I couldn’t manage to get out by the end of the month. So this video is just the behind-the-scenes stuff, and I’m working on the extra clips now - I’ll hopefully drop that some time in February. Thanks for your patience, y’all!

the funniest part about huntsman ragdolls is how easy it is to confuse the ragdoll for a living player
i remember my first pin ever. i shot him twice more because i assumed i missed and he just jumped from surprise. then i saw him rage in chat and remembered it was the same engine in half life 2 and the crossbow does the same thing.

I choked when the graphic came up holy-
The fact that soundsmith had trouble getting footage just cause the players were actually being nice is both wholesome and hilarious.
And the fact that he got the clip on Uncletopia ties it all together.
I could listen to Soundsmith gush over all the eastereggs, how production went, and how talented and amazing all his friends are for an unreasonably long time.
I don't think he knows how much power they really have. I can safely say for a considerable period of time all I saw were forceanature scunts, c&d trolling spies, and huntsman snipers you can track on soundsmith's uploads like a moon phase date chart.

I have the strangest feeling the video credits in the botton left arose from a chronic fear of being the entire second part of an HBomberguy video
I think it is a funny that a hired killer with canonicly almost perfect aim is using an bow.

People *heavily* underestimate power of melee weapons. There is so many games where if you shoot your primary all the time, the game punishes you or makes fun of you. Or, the games' primaries suck in comparison to melee's.

The books have a distinctive design that was kept when they were given a tv series adaptation and several video game adaptations. DK books are also a part of the "Utopian Scholastic" aesthetic.

As someone who really likes the huntsman I still would've been perfectly fine with just the backburner vid. Really went above and beyond for this one and both of them are some of your best work.
2:18 Fun fact: this feature is called PiP(Picture in Picture). You just right click the video(or right click twice for youtube) and click PiP.
It's even on your phone, just play the video and then press the home screen button(the circle, sqircle or square thingie on the bottom of your phone)
Also you can resize it. You can also play multiple at the same time for maximum brain damage, overloading, overwhelming, exploding, imploding, kugelblitzing, rotting, withering, supernova, big bang, melting, vaporizing, overstimulation.
PS: A few years ago, PiP used to be capsble of background play. However nowadays when you try it the thing just dissappears and stops playing.
Also, the youtube app on mobile can use PiP. You just need to pray Susan Wjsfjdustdhhfc for good luck. Don't mind the fact that it removes all filters on your screen and flashbangs you while it's zooming out and adjusting.

I always appreciate your behind the scenes videos for these. There's always so much more work than I realize and it's cool to see how much actually went into these. Not to mention all of the stuff that didn't make it.

I love the different freeze frame faces in the video especially the angry one from the lack of stats or the laughing one from the funny ragdoll. The huntsman was probably my favorite one of the series so far

I always watch the actual Mann's Guide episode with monkey brain on and just enjoy the gags that are on the surface, but these behind the scenes videos are always a delight to watch, both because you manage to be hilarious while candid like this and it helps me learn what I missed!
Mann's Guide is my favorite series on UA-cam right now, and I hope you keep making them, so long as you like doing so (unlike stereotypes).

Just wanted to get in to say that your thumbnails are incredibly appreciated, I never even noticed the sniper logo as part of the frame. Parody of fine art is one of my favourite types of artwork.

For context, I had recently joined a competitive 6s team and was basically told "go play pubs and get better." So I hopped into Uncletopia because no crits, only to get completely rolled by unbalanced teams. Definitely a compounding of frustrations and tilt at my own lack of abilities mixed with the pub coinflip factor.
The existential crisis I had at 10:00 because I've been in a depression zombie state just "going through the motions" for 3 years and have just now snapped out and started pursuing my goals and dreams again actually brought me to tears. Thanks AuralAcolyte :)

I actually kinda like having all the sfm bits in at the end, with the extra footage being its own thing. Also, since the huntsman video, sniper is quickly rising in my most played class list, having a lot of fun with it!

ive rewatched the huntsman video many times, way more than any other manns guide, the backwards structure of it is pretty much exactly why i love it so much and im glad you went with it!
I personally cannot wait for an hour-long huntsman montage from you. Even if it doesn't end up being that long, I'll always appreciate more huntsman content from you. Behind your trolldier stuff, it's easily my second favorite video style for you.
Also, if you ever end up making another DRG video, I feel the need to point out that there IS technically a shovel pickaxe blade in the game: The back blade of the Reaper's Claw set, unlocked through assignments. You can also randomly find the Hole Digger back blade in lost packs, but I feel like Reaper's Claw is closer to what you want.
Your opera gx mod is a crime against nature and I love it.

I know this comment might get buried, but I have to say it again: Thank you so much for actually talking about the Huntsman seriously. I've always wanted to use it in TF2 (despite the fact that I can barely aim), and your 'aim slightly above where you think the arrow should go' tip is absolutely amazing. I guess what I'm trying to say overall is thank you for Mann's Guide, SoundSmith. The videos themselves, the strategies within, the mechanical insights, the humor, and the behind-the-scenes follow-ups make this a series I always go out of my way to watch and rewatch.
