Many don’t know but the Atom 75 is my favorite grinder. I have tried out a lot of grinders and this one performs so well for what it is. How does the Turin stack up?
That Atom is lightning fast, holy cow! Have you ever tried single-dosing with it, using either Eureka's bellows system or a custom one? I have a Mignon Perfetto and it single doses quite well with my DIY bellows and hopper.
I really need to try to order one of the eureka pop up lids. They are pretty spendy... I have not single dosed with the 75. It’s just so dang quick and easy to use. I’ll have to do a handful of videos just on the atom
@@portakeeper I have a Eureka Blow Up hopper that I only used once. I have since changed my grinder, let me know if you might be interested. Great video!
Could you do a burr alignment video for the DF64? I am waiting on mine to arrive, and it's my first flat burr, and I'm not confident that I'll get it right 😅
I'm new to your videos and was wondering if you've tried out any conical grinders to see how they stack up against your Atom 75. Thanks for this video by the way. I was looking for videos regarding the Turin.
A long time ago I got to use a Robur which is the same burrs as the infamous Niche. Robur was so much better and so much faster. I have also reviewed the Compak K10. It was extremely nice! Conical are great but in my opinion the more I learn they offer far less complexity to the cup.
@@tecnition if you want less expensive Turin DF83, loving it! If still too much I like the DF64. I have videos with all the SSP burrs. Personal preference are the MP burrs with lighter fruity roasts. It really depends on your preference and busgrt
Larger burrs retain more but there are also sweet spots for side. In my opinion that’s 70-80mm. Big enough to have a ton of cutting surface and centrifugal motion to push beans out. The bigger issue with grinders is the neck where the grounds exit. Having a very large neck in the grinder chamber doesn’t allow for grounds to exit as freely
Thank you. I ordered the DF64 waiting for delivery.
I'm always interested in comparative burr grinder comparisons. Your video and comments were excellent. I like that DF64.
Thanks for the review! I wish you would have weighed an equal volume espresso shots, to make the comparison more robust

Thanks!
Hi! What grind size did you have in the dial of the Turin? Thank you for the review!
Hey! I have been running espresso on 14, and the V60 I upped to setting 50 today. I’ll play with the settings more
Great content!!! Subscribed
Thank you! It’s been fun and planning to do lots more!

Great commentary! What beans are you using to compare?
Single origin Mexico. They have been fantastic. My friend owns a roaster and sells some locally. Check out ditch and toad in Austin!
qu'est ce que vous pouvez me dire sur votre machine Bezzera. j'ai trouvé une et je veux l'achetez est ce que ca vous le coup ??
How does the Atom 75 stack up against the Niche Zero?
Night and day difference. All day Atom for me
@@portakeeper wow that's eye opening. Thank you. Do you have a close 2nd? Quite a bit of price difference between the two

@@portakeeper awesome thanks! So as it stands, you're not at all interested in the niche zero?

Hi, what is the expresso machine you are using?
Stop saying "cup of coffee"! Is annoying.
