I know absolutely nothing about wood turning, but I find it fascinating that you can turn what most people would consider "junk" wood into works of art. This would have looked great with the uv resin glow in the dark on the wood And then A light blue not that it's not beautiful on its own with the designer epoxy and hyper shift but it is as always amazing ❤❤❤

I am impressed with every single piece you do, Jim. I like most of the pieces that you do. Some of your projects I really really love.
And THEN there are the ones that I am absolutely so head-over heels GAGA for that they make me want to find a magic money tree, grab handfuls of cash, shove them all in a bag, run to your shop all the way from Utah, grab the piece, hand you the bag, and RUN!! This is one of them!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍 It makes me think of a peacock feather. It is DIVINE!!!!
I worked for a monument company for years and we stocked polished granite vases for our clients. I loved the graceful shape of the smallest ones we carried and even designed a few to have custom-made by our vendors. They were shaped very much like this vase. This brought back some pleasant memories of working with beautiful stone. Wow. Wow. And Wow!

Rap your light cord with hot glue to keep it away from your turning. Another beautiful piece as always. Love the profile and color of the resin. The cherry burl is stunning. This piece is by far my favorite. Other woods are really nice, but Cherry really does it for me. This is also a beautiful shape,and the blue is lovely ❤❤❤ I think maybe the flag didn't do as well was because it was a clock, most watchers want to see what new shapes you come up with ❤

A small hook on the underside of the tool rest at the end well away from the center of the lathe might be a simple way to keep the cord for your LED light safe in your hollowing setup.
Gorgeous vase and concept, love the colors and the shape, and the way the burl comes out looking like islands in the sea is just spectacular. I love how the movement of the epoxy adds an ocean current effect, too. As so many others have said, the change to the foot really ramps up the style of the finished piece!

This one moved up to my top 5 faves, Jim! She's gorgeous! The Blue Laguna with the Hypershift from Designer Epoxy made me melt (LOL, you already know my favourite colour is blue!), but paired with cherry burl ... oh, wow! Stunning! I gotta say, though, I preferred the first foot and was kinda sad you whittled it down, but she's still an absolutely gorgeous piece! I had Kenny and Dolly singing in my head, watching you create this!

Jim you should use a hot gun or something similar to remove your glue to make it easier to remove the items off the pieces you make. You might be able to save some of it instead of having to destroy it.

In regards to the voice-over, I absolutely love it. I have watched other turners and just can't get into them. You add the personal touch, Jim. Also, a teaching touch. I am a home remodeller. LOVE the detail for the foot. I would actually like to see more of that. It gives you move opportunity for variation with your hollow forms and vases.
There's one way to avoid Jim v. bucket by making the tube of shelf liner. I did want to see exactly how you managed to get that into the bucket!
Great idea to put the masking tape on the the piece to avoid the heating of the epoxy during hollowing.

Hi 👋 Jim , very very impressive, it looks amazing it looks beautiful, , it’s still amazing what nature does to create something, then you put your famous touch to it and finish it off, perfection, not sure if I told you, I picked up a vintage Rubio workbench for £50 a few weeks ago, Just needs a little little bit of TLC, and I picked up at the same place, a selection of woodburning chisels, Robert Sobby and Crown, 25 In total. I can’t believe it when they said the price, I said to them that I am willing to give you a lot more. I gave them the figure and they said no as we know these are going to a good home and will be well., £25 for all of them, they have even often be a jet lathe for £50, I have told him that they will get a lot more than that if they sold it on eBay, they said they didn’t want the hassle, I cannot collect it at the moment I do not have enough room in my workshop, I’m hoping in the next 2 to 3 weeks to start laying white concrete floor, which will then give me an extra 6 x 6 meter work area, Sorry, I am rabbiting on again,
