Chad was always interested in original pieces and wood turning was one of his favorite genres to watch. Before he passed we were talking about getting a camera on him to do some wood turning and carpentry asmr/ instructional videos. But God had him return home before we had the opportunity. Thank you for your time to make this, this is a true blessing and you did a fantastic job. Thank you very much.

@michaelthr33d74 Thank you for the kind words. He was one of those souls that reminded me of a firework, rose fast and beautiful and loud but ended before anyone wanted him to. Silver lining is that his loss got me looking for God again and getting to know him and myself better. Sometimes ppl are in your life for a specific reason and time then their gone. Cherish every minute with loved ones even the hard times because they can be taken away from you and you'll wish you could have it all back, even for a moment.

We are all destined to pass on, and while all losses are painful, it is expected that we lose grandparents and parents, aunts and uncles, siblings, partners and friends, as we move through our lives. Hi Jim
Great to have you back, I understand the need to 'mother' an injury/disability sometimes. People who don't have injuries/disabilities don't & never will understand the need fir R&R periods.
Nice to see a more wooden piece than resin, but I do like both. I like the full commentary, it give extra information, ie. the ration of body mass to virual square inch/cm space needed, etc
The natural shape of the cherry burl easily showed its shape for an urn. Nice patterned wood
😂Bonus week for you though, in already doing the resin done for next with little cubes!
    Take care

The leaking was meant to happen because it knew it wasn't the right emerald green. Glad to hear that your knee is on the mend. It's sad because of the purpose of this piece but it turned out beautifully.

I recently bought a 4k monitor. The resolution is so fine that the screen looks like photograph. You can see all the detail that you'd see in person. This channel in 4k would be like being in your shop, up close, seeing the true structure of the piece as you're making it. Love your channel.

While there were rather challenging moments in the creation of this urn, I doubt it could have been more symbolic of a person’s life. Unexpected events that required creative thinking & adjustments that resulting a gentle, unique, beautiful & strong container to protect the remains of a beloved son bringing solace to his mother.
A very special creation. God bless you, Jim.

First of all, my condolences to Kimberly and her family. May Chad rest in peace. Secondly, my respect for you knows no bounds as a wood turner, an artist, but most importantly, as a human being. The care and respect you put forward for this beautiful urn is very tangible. Many times in the video, you comment on whether Kimberly will like this detail or that detail. You don't treat this as just another commission. You respect what this piece means to Chad's family. The cherry is so beautiful. You chose the perfect wood. Amazing figure in it. Although green is not a favorite of mine (black, blues, and reds) the epoxy goes well with the cherry. Awesome piece, Jim. Glad to see you back on your feet. Cheers!!

I prefer the talky- talk, but appreciate your efforts is providing asmr. Hope your knee is doing well too. Don't let the haters make you feel bad for taking a week off, a lot of creators (once they gain a following) often increase the time between releases so they can focus on their art and perhaps do more complex or time consuming projects. Love your art, and this urn is a beautiful piece to hold a loved one.
