      Can you make a video on how to prioritize your excersises? Fx I wanna train for HSPU, so i do Pikes and then Pseudo Planche PU on push days, but I also wanna train basics as ring dips and ring push-ups for chest gains and body balance, suddenly I have 15-20sets of push, which is already maybe too much and then I'm supposed to train for handstand, scapulars, shoulder stability, flexibility, maybe isolation... I know to prioritize, but I don't get how, since it all still seems like the bare minimum 😅 Thanks for great content!

    I can do 18 clean pull ups with 5kg, I can do chest to bar pull ups, I can do 8 clean rings dips with 10kg and turnout, but I'm still no where near close to do a single muscle up, not even with a heavy resistance band. I'm sure it's something abut my technique, but I can't figure out what is it exactly.

    • @SaturnoMovement
      @SaturnoMovement  Рік тому +2

      1. Try starting with a semi false grip.
      2. Practice the kicking muscle up with a strong swing. Pull right at the same time you bring the knees up. Timing is everything here.
      3. Do LOTS of explosive hollow body chest to bar pull ups and negatives. Those 2 exercises are the only ones I’d focus you given your situation. Maybe 1-2 sets of jumping muscles up to get a feel of them, but don’t invest much time there.
      Hope this helps!
      You are closer than you think.
      With Love,

    I can do 7 clean ring muscle ups but only 1-2 on bar! It’s way harder for me 😢

    • @SaturnoMovement
      @SaturnoMovement  Рік тому +1

      The rings muscle up can be easier for some people, due to the fact that you don't have a solid bar in front of you in which you have to move your body around it to get on top. With the rings muscle up, you have more freedom of your grip, plus there is no bar in front of you, so the transition might be a bit easier. It all comes down to how much time we spend on each movement. - Gala

    I am trying to achieve muscle up since five years but it is not happening. Watched all the clips, tried all the excesses - nothing. I know my weakness - my pull-ups are too slow so I cannot do the high explosive pull-ups very well. Everything else - dips, technique is ok. But being 90+ kilos ( no I am not fat), it is hard to be quick. I tried band assisted high pull-ups, static holds at up-most position, negative muscle-ups, etc. but nothing helps. Any ideas?

    • @baligo3760
      @baligo3760 25 днів тому

      I finally did it - 3 in a row from my first attempt! And I am not even in my best shape - I can do just 6 pull ups and maybe 10 dips now. I can say for sure - it has nothing to do with the number of pulups or dips, because that is endurance. What you need for the muscle up is good strength/speed ratio and the right technique.
      This is how I have achieved it:
      I started using two bands - with them I could almost get on the bar directly from pull up but I didnt train for high pull ups. Using the swing and kick attempts I managed to find the right technique. Then removed the weaker band, after that removed the stronger band and at the end - could do three unbanded muscle ups from my first attempt :)

    I think the pull requirements are too short if You want to be able to do perfect muscle Up, but if its with kipping as You say then its fine still I think the priority to get good muscle ups is simply getting very strong in pull ups so You can be explosive and get clean muscle ups

    • @SaturnoMovement
      @SaturnoMovement  Рік тому +3

      Correct. Explosive pull-ups will help the muscle-up tremendously. It is one of the main prerequisites for it. In addition, if you don't practice the technique, you will never get around the bar. No matter how explosive your pull-ups are. This video was created for the general population who are struggling to get their first muscle-up. Your suggestion is great for a "Why You Can't Strict Muscle Up" video! Thanks for sharing 🙏💙 - Gala

      I didn’t talk about 1M other factors that goes into developing an advanced movement like the muscle up properly. We are talking about a Muscle up, so rows should be already part of your warm up routine. Of course they are critically important. -Gabo

    I tried this yesterday and realised that its harder than thought. I know I am weak, having had long term illness for many years. But, I am glad I found out. I will be making baby steps to building strength for the next few months. Patience will pay off in the end.

      Eat pull ups and dips for 3 years and muscle up won’t be an issue ;) hahaha the hard truth no one wants to hear. -Gabo

      @@SaturnoMovement😀 LOL. I agree. I am doing the basics now - dips and pull-ups, as well as hanging upside down 🙃🤸. Pretty exhausting, but worth it.

    The reason I temporarily could do the muscle up its due to technique.

    • @SaturnoMovement
      @SaturnoMovement  Рік тому +1

      Good technique can compensate for the strength needed in the muscle. However, at some point you’ll have to build that strength if you want to keep doing them. Using basic exercises and explosive pulls it’s more time efficient and safer than doing tons of kipping muscle ups. -Gabo

      @@SaturnoMovement Yes that all true. However, I find that I already have the strength but lack technique. Once I study the technique, I find my that I achieve the skill within one session.

    You've got mysterious greater communication between muscles. Is as if one group of muscles isn't talking to another group and forcing one group to do all the work. This is an ongoing mystery. You're just one of those people who have an instinctive innate ability to feel all those groups magically working together without knowing why they happen to work for you. It's like curling your tongue in strange ways that no amount of practice will enable others to curl their tongue in that same way you can do it. Or like people who can magically roll their eye's way back into their sockets that's freaky, or like people who can pop out their eye's in some freaky fashion.

    Thanks for the video, I’ve seen other videos of yours, impressive. Muscle up is not any strength building exercise, it’s just a show-off technique. I’ve injured myself trying too hard to master it and once I did, it’s not worth the injuries lol.
    Your slow muscle ups are impressive and demonstrate good strength! But I still think it’s a gimmick and wouldn’t waste my time on it.

      Disagree my friend :) done correctly the Muscle up is an amazing upper body exercise. People just don’t know how to train for it and/or add it to a program correctly. They do it once in a blue moon without even proper preparation and they complain about elbow pain and shoulder pain.. no wonder why! Stay safe and don’t believe everything you read/see online 😉 -Gabo
