    Yessir standard chainsaw design. The piston acts as the bottom of the transfer ports when at bottom dead center, fuel mix sliding by the piston itself and up into the cylinder transfer.

    • @LAHover
      @LAHover 3 роки тому +2

      Yup, and the "wings" on the bottom of the cylinder are simply there to seal off the case where the old transfers would be... I am wondering if filling the old case transfers would act like case stuffing. As of right now they are just empty space, but I don't know if the outcome would be positive or negative.

    • @abikelife1481
      @abikelife1481 3 роки тому

      @@LAHover yeah give it a try! If you have an old YD case to experiment with. My hypothesis is that it would not hurt anything at all, perhaps even improve a little bit. I think it would aid to keep gas concise, dense, directed, and channeled with shortest route possible up to the cylinder. Maybe even increase compression a bit like you mentioned similiar to stuffing. But I dont know, I dont have one of these bad boys, so I am just working off of the short videos I have seen and my imagination. Idk, maybe the case transfer ramps there are actually beneficial with this cylinder, allowing like a staging area for gas to hangout before entering cylinder. Maybe one stroke pulls gas from intake into bottom of the case and transfers etc, then the second stroke pulling gas from that upper area transfer ramps area into the cylinder. Lol I have no clue, just imagining and hypothesizing but it is fun to think about. Makes sense this engine is a great performing since that old saying "no replacement for displacement" I bet they will continue to make these top end kits a hair bigger, a hair bigger, every couple of years to squeeze out every penny, rather than making a big jump up to a 100cc and missing out on all the purchases in between.

    pretty excited about this motor . about time they come out with a true any thing motor . all this double cc bs . is it a 60 cc or a 80 cc you know what i mean . this is a game changer next will be a true 100 cc . some one is going to have to start making heavy duty frames for these motors soon . i know there is a couple but there both pretty much the same frame . felt faker frames . personally while i do like the built in tank the frame style its self leaves alot of room for improvement not to mention the price . i have not seen a speed test for these yet but im thinking if it is as powerful as claimed bike frames and wheels are going to be under alot of stress . this motor is one to watch for sure . i do hope they break out with a true 100 cc though that would be awesome .

      Those transfers work just fine on a chainsaw, so why wouldnt they work here? Yessir standard chainsaw design. The piston acts as the bottom of the transfer ports when at bottom dead center, fuel mix sliding by the piston itself and up into the cylinder transfers and then over the top of the piston. I dont know what 2 stroke secrets you're eluding to knowing but this design is standard in big bore chainsaws man.

    • @LAHover

      The cylinder and piston work as an independent transfer system, they don't interact with the case transfers. The wings on the bottom on the cylinder are just there to seal the case where the old transfer circuit would be. Perfect or not it works fine, and has considerably more power than any other china kit I have used.

  • @thekingsilverado8419
    @thekingsilverado8419 3 роки тому

    I don't think I ever had a throttle cable itself go bad. Now them throttle handles can be a diff goofy issue all their own. The YUANG DONG throttles handles for as good a carb as they make can be a real pisser and piece of junk. The Bo Feng carbs are not really potent they need to be jetted and I have had great success doing just that with em. They R a big improvement over the old NT carbs whereas ya either get a good one or a bad one or ya can't get em to seal on the intake necks. I was hoping to see the thing run for my sanity sake the thing looks tempting to buy however owning an engine with one of Fred Chelminskis heads is like having cookies without the milk.

    I would agree that jug is definitely a stihl, I’m not sure what the stud spacing is compared to a larger saw like 070,660,090,880 but I’m sure the large jug could be adapted ofcourse dependent on stroke, and case volume. I don’t know much about these bike bottom ends

    At that price shipping should be free. I ordered a set of triple trees from them that are junk. Can't even be used. And now everyones engines are blowing bearings on first rides. Then they out over $300 for an experiment.

      You could, but the case at the bottom doesn't really line up and the reed valve would prevent any ram air effect but yeah you can do it!

    I hope you mount it on a bicycle and test it out on performance and speed.
    I’m looking for a 3 wheel bike and motor to mount. I’ll put lights on it. It is for an elderly lady that lives in a small town. She needs a ride to Post Office to get her Mail and to local small store for food.
    Disabled, I donate time and mow elderly lawns, etc. thx.
    If you know of a good source to buy a used 3 wheel bicycle that is affordable please advise! All elderly are on limited Social Security income and cannot afford anything beyond basics. A few donate money to me to afford gas/oil to mow their lawns.

    I wonder if you could drill some holes through the 40mm piston rods on common 66cc/80cc 2 stroke bike engines to lighten them without making them too weak...Iv'e seen some car/motorcycle piston rods online that are drilled/lightened.....I'm guessing enough weight could be drilled out to make a noticeable power difference without it being too weak. A combination of the rods drilled/lightened and few holes in the piston skirt & maybe piston pin to lighten & increase lubrication I bet would help (not on the Phantom engine but other 2 strokes)

    they try to keep the size small, because it's used on a bicycle. that's why you have less cooling fins on the cylinder head. what matters is hold it up to the light, and you can then see the actual cylinder, which is way fatter. just by this video I can tell that cylinder looks more like a soda can(😵👍), then compared to a weed eater looking, tiny little, Big Bite hot dog size 49cc,66cc, & similar 2 strokes. I'm curious about the stroke, if it's still a short stroke of the earlier 66cc, with a soda can piston. I can tell you this, it's definitely not a square motor (square motor = any motor where the bore & stroke are identical, or almost identical in size. either way, the motor is going to be a powerhouse. now another interesting question. have they use the same clutch, or is it an upgraded clutch? I guess I'll just have to finish watching the video (@7:50), and find out. 💢🥴💯

    I ordered 1 and it came in yesterday exhust is different doesn't have that little bracing bar on it and mine didn't come with a boefang carburetor it came with a speed carburetor I called the co. bicycle engine they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about I sent them pictures they acknowledged that it was a speed carburetor and not a boefang carburetor and I told them my question was do they both have the same size jet Receptionist said she didn't know and just wished me the best breaking it in?

    Ya hurry up and build it and take it across the river to east Peoria and see if will climb the steepest hill in peoria there right beside 74 . It's a residential road but to this day i can't figure out who built houses on that hill couse when it's dry and clear a car can barely go up it so when it snows I'm clueless how people get home couse no flipping way your driving up it .even at that detwiler hill will challenge a motorized bicycle.

    not even close to the same carburetor. the outside is the same size, what matters is that bore diameter. if you look where the throttle cable goes in, that slide is way bigger. oh and there's a little trick, if your engine has a stack of Base gaskets underneath the cylinder, the more gaskets you stack, the lower the compression, horsepower, and cheaper fuel that it can run on. raise it up to 93, put a real thin base gasket on it, you now have a higher compression, more powerful engine. 💯
