nice . sounded like it was pretty happy between 35 and 40 . thats still crazy fast on a bike . not a big fan of the phantom with all its problems . but i feel once they get it dialed in it will be a good engine . that leak if it dint crack at the wields it was more then likely coming from the gas cap . them cheap tanks suck . the caps can be fixed with a inner tube . just cut out a new rubber seal or use cork gasket maker . they dont fit tight enough . take care . ride safe .

Sounds like the pipe is starting to come into resonance at around 46, was a bit rich leading up to that. You might try making a header spacer that is gasket matched and spacing the pipe out about an inch to lengthen it about. It will come into resonance sooner. and Yes, it did sound like it would go lots faster.

It sounds like that’s when he goes WOT… you can hear a noticeable difference in induction noise.
But I agree, extending the header would make the resonance happen sooner.

I hate 2 strokes, had the worst experiences. Made my bike fall apart, 10 gas tanks in 2 months, went through a few engines, one was a generic cheap Chinese engine, went through a stage 1 engine from bikeberry, completely damaged the engine, bought the stage 2 engine kit, everything worked fine until i tried putting that upgraded compression head on, would not work no matter what i did, like it was obnoxiously annoying, i gave up, but bikeberry’s customer support was absolute top notch, like its something you can really appreciate. Ended up getting a cool muffler, didnt work with the bike i had because the mounts on the engine were at a weird angle which wouldn’t work, they gave me store credit, had got a speedometer they had, better grips and throttle, they were always there, i may check them out later to see if they got anything new, since its been a few years. I on the other hand just got a phatmoto 2022 fat tire, absolutely fun to ride, i was iffy on the speed, but its to be realized that speed isnt always everything you need. I do plan on modifying the governor to get a little more out of it without losing torque from a smaller sprocket. Where I’m at, i cant really avoid the hills so the torque is good to have, got this one hill that has this weird double incline, it’s difficult to drive up with a car in the winter, everybody usually avoids it and take the less not so double inclined hills. All in all, as expensive as the phatmoto is, to me its 100% worth the 1300$. Ive heard the clutch is bad, but i havent had any problems with it.

These gas tanks all have a flaw with the gas tank cap and it's really a design to allow air to come into the gas tank so your fuel can gravity feed down to the carburetor to solve this issue is you simply get another gas cap that has an actual gasket but on the center of the gas cap it has an air inlet valve that's about a half an inch above it a little stem if you will this prevents the gas from splashing out but the gas cap itself will have a gasket sealing the cap like a real gas cap and you're welcome

Okay I'm going to give a comment a lot of people are saying out there that the yd 100 don't hold a candle to the phantom 85 but the yd 100 don't come with a read valve don't come with other stuff that the phantom 85 comes with so at all fairness. I bought a why do you 100 put that motor on a hyper bike it did 55 mph and I did not have a big pipe on it I used a knockoff mz65 pipe did mild porting to it ran a 32 sprocket on it all I did was clean the ports up on it that's it and the bike would do 45 mph. With no problem so then I pulled it apart out of all fairness because the yd 100 don't come like the phantom 80 kit with the big pipe the Reed valve all that I didn't even break the b**** in I ran it at 40 to 1 right out of the gate stock carburetor stock everything all I did was cleaned it up that's it then what I did was gave it a little bit more work and the funny thing was I didn't even put a re valve nothing on it I ran the stock carburetor then the bike hit 47.49 mph I learned my mistakes on the yd100 so now I got a new one. The fastest speed I hit on my yd 100 was 55 mph but I learned from a mistakes what I notice about the phantom got a lot of low-end power probably mid-range power I'm going to have to get one of those and then we'll see personally in my opinion I've seen guys run 70 plus miles per hour on bikes using s*** carburetors tiny carburetors not big ones it's really not that necessary when I built my first why do you want 100 I went way too big on the ports didn't change the pipe made mistakes we live and we learn it's velocity that's what you want when you're porting staff it's not always let's gouge it out make it huge I found out on these two strokes that is not the answer I've seen guys with stock carburetors f*** somebody up that had a carburetor three times in size tiny little carburetor tore their ass up in the top end it's the velocity it's the flow that's just my opinion

I'm gonna bet once you crack the jug you will find a piece of piston broken off under the wrist pin, for some reason the pistons are cracking around the skirt.
    I suspect bad casting methods

    • @marthamryglod291
      @marthamryglod291 2 роки тому

The wrist pin bearing is weak and allows the piston to rattle in the bore after not too long. Broken piston skirts result in catastrophic damage, but the origin is the bad bearing/bushing.

    You are CRAZY!!!!!!
#1- speed limit on motorized bike is 30 mph or less.
Lucky, no cops around, speed checking.
#2 - you are in T-shirt and short, at 40-50 mph if you fall or crash, you can say good by to your skin at best, but you can break your neck too.
I knew a guy, he was going to the beach on his motorcycle, dressed to the beach, in shirt and short.
At one intersection, he had a green light, but a car pulled in front him, so he laid his bike down to slide to stop.
He survived, but on one side of his body, he lost his skin and broke an arm and collar bone, some ribs too.
He was in the hospital almost a year, laying on his stomach, many surgeries, skin had to be removed from his ass and leg to patch his upper body.
Have you noticed, motorcycle riders wear protection, like helmet, gloves, leather dress, rider's boots.
    Not by accident!

yo man, i switched my tank to the supposedly 1 gal tank. worth it for daily rides but I'm sure you'll need one as well. note though that I'm looking for replacement petcocks for the stock one seems to me be weaker than a motorcycle one

Me to I also used epoxy putty & glued it to the frame & around the studs to prevent it from braking again .. .. it’s still good 3000 miles later.
