Hi there, was searching through the vid where you said you were going to explain the use of the patch bay. :). Please recap your use of the patch bay :) Thanks
Hey. So I only use three outputs. 1. Electric input - MS3 input 2. Piezo / acoustic input - straight to DI 3. Stereo output - from MS3 right output. The left mono output comes out the side of the 63OD. Hope that helps. Thx
It's a really interesting set up and you get so much versatility from the combos if each of the pedals. I could gig with something similar with no issues at all
Hey. It really is a super versatile setup. Can do so much. It's all about the external footswitch jacks on the MS3 and the current number function. The MS3 is the best effects unit I've come across for switching. Thx again for commenting man,
I get my sounds dialed in with my pedals and save them but when I switch back they arent changing with the boss memory. What couls it be? I see your unit is changing all your pedals to memory.
Hey. Thx for the comment. Hope i can help. I need a few more details? 1. What pedals are you using? 2. What settings are you changing between memories? Cheers. Rob
@@TheGuitarEffect Thanks for the response. Well, I am using the AMP One Blu guitar as my source of tone. I have a boost pedal and the Boss MS3. On the AMP1 I can choose from 4 different amp modes. My first patch is my clean tone. I have it dialed in on the AMP1 I have all my effects saved on the boss and my boost pedal emgaged. I can write that through the boss and save it to my channel 3. Now if I got to channel one and create a new amp tone (with a different amp mode) and then save it, when I go back to my clean channel the amp one isnt switching back to the clean mode , it stays on the dirt channel I just made. I guess they arent talking to one another? Hope I am making sense.
Do I need to midi between the amp1 and the Boss? It is the only thing I can think of. I will have to adapt something, I see on the Blu Guitar site that their midi to 1/4 inch is just 6 inches. Thats not long enough for my pedal board. Ugh.
Hey. Ok so the only way to control the AMP1 Is MIDI. As far as I know any Jack to 5 pin midi cable should work though. I know Boss make a MIDI to mini Jack. That would work with a mini Jack to quarter inch Jack adapter. Just make sure the adapter is TRS. Then maybe watch a video on how to send program changes to the AMP1. MIDI is easy enough to program once you know what you are doing. It can seem daunting at first but it’s actually pretty straightforward. Especially if you are just doing PC changes which you would be.
Hey man, very clear explanation, i'm using boss MS 3 hookup with two notes revolt and it's simple and amazing sounds direct to PA, But can we use boss ms 3 compressor effect before the preamp? meanwhile we need another effects like reverb delays and some modulation in Boss MS 3 place after the preamp? cheers
Hey Pedro. Thx for the comment. The two notes revolut looks soooo cool. I really want to try one. How is it? So the answer is yes you can absolutely do that. What you need to do is go 1.MS3 input 2. MS3 loop one send to revolt input 3. MS3 loop one return to revolt send 4. MS3 Output one to revolt return 5. MS3 Output two to ampFX loop return (amp sound) 6. Revolt output to desk (direct sound) Any effects you want before the revolt preamp put them before loop one on the MS3 any effects you want after, put them after liop3
Hi, nice video! Can the MS-3 pilot the channel switching on the Koch? In other words can you have a clean amp tone +chorus in one switch and a dirty sound +delay on another switch? I hate tap dancing on pedals

Great vid and very inspiring. I’ve been looking to put a small, amp-less gigging board together and your one really checks the boxes. Thanks 👍🏼
Hey Standingbadger. Thx for the comment. Yeah it’s really good. I’m very impressed with how well it’s working.

Hey Obenda. Thx for the comment. To answer your question yes the MS3 can select clean, dirty or lead on the Koch preamp using the switching Jack out.
@@TheGuitarEffect Many thanks!
