NUX Queen of Tone. A bluesbreaker and a Klon style boost / OD in one.
Hey All
This weeks video is a pretty top line look at the really quite amazing Queen of Tone by NUX. a Bluesbreaker and Klon style pedal.
Both core sounds do the role of the pedals that they are inspired by really well. The Morning Star (Bluesbreaker) is smooth and round sounding but with more gain than the blues driver has on offer and the Horeseman (Klon) has the nice slight mid hump and the defined top end that makes it so useful.
Both sides also have a second mode too where when you long hold their respective footswitches the Morning Star changes to a high end enhanced version and the Horseman switches to a sliver Klon sound for a more gainy fizzy option. Again all four of these sounds are really handy and very easy to toggle between.
The standout feature for me that made me reach out to NUX to ask them to send me the pedal was the remote switching jack on the back which allows me to place the pedal in one loop of my Boss ES* and select either side on a preset by preset basis. I really feel like more brands need to add this option. Especially on a double pedal like this
Absolutely outstanding stuff NUX.

Line 6 HX Effects. The King of Multi Effects. 3 years on review.

Hey all. In this video I'm sort of checking in on my thoughts on the Line6 HX effects after Gigging it extensively for four years. I made a lot of content about it when I first got it. The HX effects has been the centrepiece of my compact live rig for pretty much every gig I've done int eh last three years and in that time I have never been able to find anything that can match it's tone and it'...

Hello all This is a video I've wanted to make for a while. A comparison between the NUX Trident and Cerberus. Two of NUX's best products in my opinion. I'd like at this point to issue a warning..... THIS IS A VERY NERDY VIDEO!!! THERE IS NO ACTUAL PLAYING!! IT'S 15 MINS OF TALKING!! :0 In this video i simply lists the features positive and negative from my use case perspecitve about both units....

Hello all. I'm very happy to share my first video of a Mooer product in an official capacity. I reached out to Mooer and requested the Preamp X (X2) for a new flyrig I'm building and they very kindly agreed to send it to me. They are not paying for the review but I get to keep the pedal. So the opinions are all my own. The Preamp X is a really lightweight, compact and affordable amp modeller in...

Hey all. Thanks to Gokko for sending out this really lovely overdrive pedal. I'm impressed with it and looking forward to getting my hands on more of their stuff if it's as good as this. NUX Trident. NUX's flagship modeller. A different way to think about modelling.
There is certainly a lot of ''the tone'' hype among guitar players, which manufacturers weaponize at will. For £89 in the UK, as someone in the comments said, seems cheap enough for a dual OD pedal but - it's Chinese QC, they use the cheapest parts available, so all in all it's not worth over £30, considering the parts bulk price. AND it's two copied old designs in one enclosure. While being completely aware of the ''Made In USA'' similar pedals being pretty much the same sound wise, (and everyone is making copies of the copies also, we see 4 or 5 original designs being copied relentlessly), much higher QC and seemingly sturdier make don't even remotely make up for the $250-$350 price tags. So, to each his own. For all Gary Moores out there - for the price, it's more than good. Thanks for the video.
You know what man, I totally agree. I have considered many times making a video about the as you cal it “tone hype”. As far as I can see there is a massive glut of decent guitar bands with something to say out there now when you consider more people are playing guitar then ever. And there certainly is a lot of very “nice things” to spend your money on. Something just doesn’t sit right with me about the whole phenomenon
@@TheGuitarEffect Exactly. The so called ''golden age'' of gear doesn't seem to bring good music back into the mainstream. It's sad really, never before you could obtain ''the tone'' with as little money as today. Cheap guitars alone have never been better and cheaper, while expensive gear has never been this expensive. Strange.
Very true
I get what your saying. My favourite guitar ever which i unfortunately sold was a gibson lp295. Amazing guitar. Only thing that came close was my old 2008 traditional. Vintage is more consumer driven than anything. Saying that like all things there are unicorns
Hey man. Good to hear from you, hope all is well. Yeah it’s such a personal thing. Whatever speaks to you, speaks to you. End of 🤷♂️
The klon feature sounds excellent Rob
It’s a cracking pedal mate.
Thanks for the video. Just bought one of these (currently £89 in the UK) as, like you, I like the variety of functions from one device/one plug on my board...Q though, quite a bit of fizz in some parts of the clip.....Is that from the p90s on the guitar? (guess they act like single coils for hum?)...Cheers and get well soon
Hey thx for the comment. I get noise when I play. Unless I use a noise gate. So I kinda don’t look out for it to be honest. It’s just part of Rock and Roll for me. But I understand that it bothers some people. I can’t say I found this pedal Particularly noisy though.
Last year I bought the king of kings with my Xmas bonus, looks like this year I'm getting the queen of tone
Fair play to you fr buying a king of tone. I just couldn’t bring myself to spend that much money on a pedal. Did you buy it new or used?
@@TheGuitarEffect Cheers. Yes, Ive not heard (no pun intended) of any real complaints about noise, except when the gain of both pedals is maxed out....Not something I plan to do. Look forward to having a play with it later in the week. Cheers again for the review.
Mine just landed.. sounds great with p90s especially middle setting (both pickups)
Hey. Thx for the comment. I actually sold this recently because I got an AC30!!! Which I did primarily because of this pedal. It’s excellent at what it does. I also use p90s a lot and yeah they sound great with this.
A Chinese made pedal ? Not on my board.
Why not?
Thx for the comment. Is that a political thing, a humanitarian thing or a perceived quality thing?

Fair enough. Each to their own.

Great! I think you just convinced to get a Gretsch. Awesome sounding drums too - how did you create that?
I use addictive drums. I write all the music for my bands songs and I use addictive drums to program the drum parts. I actually have two videos way back in my channel about programming drums if you wanna go look.
@@TheGuitarEffect Thanks for the response - sounds so real. I'm gonna have to look into that as well. Cheers
Can you create custom preset and use custom IR’s like a HX STOMP?
No you can’t. This is a much older model from before the time of IRs! It’s effects only no amp or cab modelling.
Any chance there is a way to get subtitles for people who don't understand scottish ?
Hey. If you just hit the little CC button you’ll get subtitles. Far more importantly I’m not Scottish though. Though I do have a lot of time for the Scots. Lovely people. Where are you from? Just wondering. Is English your first language?
ok I zoomed in real close and the part of Scotland you're from doesn't even appear to be attached to mainland England. it's hard to keep track of all those tiny bits and their distinctions. I’m from a state in the US called Arkansas. it is roughly twice the size of the republic of Ireland , but has a human population about 40% of the republic of Ireland. We have 10 times the population of Ireland in chickens though, so that balances things out. Apparently the dialects of English we both speak are not 100% mutually intelligible. Based on your video I've decided to give an epiphone casino coupe a try. Thank you for your review. I'll keep working on my English and practicing guitar.
Hey man. Thx for your response I just read my initial response there and realized that it could’ve been taken up as a bit salty. Was’nt meant be at all. Though I am surprised that an American would find my accent hard to understand. It’s very mild compared to some Irish accents. All the best from Kildare in Ireland.
I'm so sorry mate. I appreciate you making this detailed guide to this pedal despite your illness. Please rest and get well. Love and respect from Auckland, New Zealand.
Hey. Thx for the lovely comment. I just have some sort of Flu thing. I’ll live! It’s just been hanging around for over a week now. Which is unusual. I really appreciate your comment. Thx so much.
Brilliant video Rob - great insight into Amplitube . Thank you . All the best with the recording too.
Cheers Rich. Glad you found the video useful
I have the same 1st era old logo mudhoney AND the newest DANISH MADE mudhoney. I got the1st one that came to Greece in 1996 and still have it. The new one has only one difference. Is a bit LOUDER. And it does exactly whta its name says MUD and HONEY
Hey. Absolutely great comments I particularly love the last line of it. That’s gas brightened a dull morning. Thankyou
Really amazing sounds. I have the same device but I’m not able to create presets that sound as good as yours? Would you mind to share some of the settings you used to create them? Cheers!!!
Hey man. Thx for the comment. I don’t have my mateibox 2 anymore unfortunately. I sold it when I or the mateibox 2 pro. What sounds in particular are you after?
@@TheGuitarEffect the clean one. I love the versatility from the funky tone to how it changes when you added the other 2 extra effects.
Hey. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. So that’s actually fairly simple. Just pick your amp, add a boost and an overdrive in two separate modules and a trem and delay in two other modules. So when you have them selected and sounding how you want, go into the control section and assign a footswitch to the boost, drive and trem and then assign the dealy mix to the expression pedal
@@TheGuitarEffect thank you very much for your reply and kindness. I’ll try to replicate myself the settings. Last question 😀, do you remember if the effects order was the default one or you altered it? Cheers!!!
@ I think they are just empty blocks when you start right? Important to highlight here that I NEVER start with stick presets. I always start with a black preset and build my sounds. My effects chain is generally Pitch Filter Boost Drive Distortion Fuzz Boost Amp Modulation Delay Reverb Cab If it’s a dirty sound I’ll stick a noise gate in at the beginning or after the amp. Hope that helps
My third SB59 should be delivered tomorrow. I have 5 Gibson LP’s, but 4 of the last 5 guitars I’ve ordered have been Eastmans (also got a new T-484) and one was a new LP Studio (fantastic guitar btw). Gibsons have more mojo, but the Eastmans are so incredibly well made and play better than any guitar I’ve ever tried. In fairness, though, I have not tried a Gibson Custom Shop. All of mine are USA models but still great nonetheless.
Hey thx for the comment. It’s a king time since I reviewed and this played this guitar. The thing that stands out to me in my memory was the finish. How it both looked and felt. But I still have my Orville and I reckon it improves every time I pick it up. I’ve never owned a Gibbo but I’ve played a lot and I have to say I’d always choose my Orville. Never played a second Orville so I don’t know if it’s an exceptional one but it really is. Special guitar.
@@TheGuitarEffectGibsons really are great guitars when you find one that is special. I have ordered some and sent them back. But of the 8 I have, 7 of them are great and 1 is very good, so overall I can’t complain. Gibson gets a lot of hate and I think a lot of it stems more from jealousy than anything else. There’s no denying that labor rates in the USA are higher than in China, so it stands to reason that Eastmans cost a lot less. It doesn’t make a Gibson overpriced necessarily, at least not their lower end models. But while I’m sure there are likely better options out there, Gibsons have a magical vibe about them when you find the right one and I think it’s similar to people who choose to drive an old sports car instead of a brand new one. It’s the history, the heritage, etc.
I watched about 2 dozens of reviews about this pedal and this review is the best hands down, it shows the three main features, the whammy pitch shift control, the harmonizer which sounds best with single notes and the detune function. Thank you so much, great job
Hey Paul. Thx so much for your comment. Always makes me smile when people get something from one of my videos. Also, many people have made a similar comment about it being the best video on the pedal which is very intriguing
Yep,,, I got two of the original a long time ago. Ive gone full circle and come back to these.
Hey. Thx for the comment. It really is an absolute banger of a pedal. When you say original is that the bigger white one?
@@TheGuitarEffectthe one your holding is the original I believe. You can do a google. The gear page has info on all the versions Sean had a few versions of this pedal. Hope that helps.
This thing is the nerve center for my rig. The loops and midi are completely programmable, the effects sound great (although they do need some tweaking) and pretty much every setting can be set to change with different snapshots and even within a button (like the button can switch your always-on drive between boost and overdrive). You can also name your snapshots and rename your stomp buttons. It’s pretty amazing.
Hey Philip. Thx for the comment. I’m the exact same. It’s a fantastic nerve centre. Nothing out there like it.
Nice one! I’m in the market for new effects and you have all the best stuff covered. I think you’re right about something if it works it works. Not many channels or reviewers say it. I add in effects for my cover band and if something sounds good live then it sounds good no matter what it is. No one will ever come up to you and say your Minotaur doesn’t sound like a centaur live … and even if it wasn’t live. I think there’s so much snobbery about. Everything has its place
Cheers. Honestly, you can’t go wrong.
I bought one 3 days ago. Learning how to use this. 😅
Congrats. Fun times ahead!!
Nice!
Great stuff, thx! I didn't get how you control the two sides of the Pedal via the switching jacks you mentioned at around 23:35. I understand you only need one fx loop to do so, could you please explain?
Hey Gretchen. Thx for the comment. Yeah it’s not straightforward. There’s an extra piece of gear involved called the gig rig remote loopy 2. It’s an input and two FX loops and an output. Each effect loop can be remotely bypassed with 1 TRS relay switch in. So I’m using one of the exp/amp control jacks to switch the loops on and off. Separate to that the double dreamer has the capacity to independently plug in both sides using a Y cable. So basically each side is running into one effects loop of the remote loopy 2 and the HX effects is selecting those loops. Does that make sense? Sorry, it’s hard to explain. The same principle would work with a NUX ace of tone for example, which has a remote switching jacks for each side.
Now I get it, thx!
I bought one three months ago. It is a great unit, and I actually took to it quicker than I thought would. But then the Fractal VP4 came out. It's not even close. Fractal, hands down. Selling my HX Effects.
Hey Joe. Thx for the comment. I just had a look at the Fractal. As a brand they’re out of my budget so I don’t keep up with them. So it has 4 footswitches as opposed to 8, no effects loops, no external switching jacks or expression inputs (from what I can see) and seems to retail at about €1700. Does it do amps as well as effects? What is it you prefer about it. Is it purely a fidelity / sound quality thing? Cheers.
Seems like it has a lot less ability to integrate with your favorite pedals than the HX unit. I’m sure it sounds awesome but it’s a lot more expensive and has less functionality. If you don’t need loops and four buttons are sufficient for your needs and you like the sounds better … sounds like a winner. Not for me though.
Great video, informative and enjoyable. I did have a HX Effects a few years ago(now using a Stomp XL), do you detect any tone suck on the HXFX ? Best Wishes
Hey thx for the comment. To be honest I think tone suck to the level where it’s a problem is a problem for tonal purists. I’m not a tonal purist I’m more of a songwriter. So I’m the wrong person to ask. I’ve never noticed problematic tone suck.
No disrespect....doesn't a bass player count? (I saw two of you up there with the poor drummer (as usual) stuck in the back 8). Well done on the post sir!
Hmm…. Bass player. No not ringing any bells. Where did you see us?

@@TheGuitarEffect What I thought. Thanks for your response & again, great post!
I cannot get my head around snapshots and how to make it save the effects I need for different parts on the same track. The thing has stayed in its box for years except for when I give it yet another go and end up going back to pedals…with knobs and an on/off button.
Hey. Thx for the comment. So firstly there are demos online that might help with he snapshots thing for sure. They’re pretty handy once you get your had round them. And very useful. But to be honest if you have pedals that you like and the to dancing thing isn’t a problem for you. Why change it? I think the HX effects comes into its own if you put your favorite pedals into the loops and use snapshots for combinations of the onboard effects and the pedals.
@ Hi Thanks for replying and for making the video. I thought I would be able to understand the L6Fx but it just confused me. I do need the ability to multi switch effects but never know how to get multi fx to work due to having to learn to programme them etc and because I have ADHD and it’s such things are apparently beyond me. Not uncommon lol and no fault of the devices, just me. Such a pain in the rear as it does hold me back. Also have been looking at the M Wave because it’s so cheap, seems easy and sounds good. Analogue guy in a digital/MIDI world….
Where are you based?
@@TheGuitarEffect I live in SW France.
If you tell me what you need. Depending on how many presets there are I could program on my HX effects and give you a link to download it for yours.
Totally agree! Even better than the new hx one. The only “issue” is the size
Hey. Thx for the comment. I must admit I’d really love a HX1 to try it out. But my problem is the price. It’s €300. WAY too expensive. It should be around €150 / €175 to make it worthwhile.
Well done! Love my distortion
Thx for the comment. Yeah it’s a brilliant pedal!
Ive been battling this pedal for 2 years.. It's not great in my opinion.. The best thing is when people say they like the amps but the IRs are duff.. How can they distinguish which bit of the digital modelling is making the overall finished sound shit?!?!? Also, who came up with the phrase 'pedal platform'., surely thats just plugging pedals in an amp. Load of bollox!! 😂😂 Great video - this man well done.. No waffle.. Just got on with it!
Hey. Thx for the comment. Appreciate the kind words about the video. I try to be pragmatic with what I do. Interesting thoughts you have there.to be honest even with something as ethereal as an IR. Consumerism )which is just SO rampant among guitar stuff now) has a huge part to play in deciding what a “good” sounding IR is. Line 6 have a free pack of IRs called the Allure pack. They’ve been out forever. I use the 112 deluxe reverb IR from that for nearly everything I do. It just works and I know it. I found the IR200 To be the best combination of value and functionality I came across. I don’t have it anymore cause it’s more than I need. But I did find it to be the best one I tried. Now I just use the Mosky British. It’s simple, no screens, one sound and it sounds great. I add an IR after it. Job done.
I do actually get the pedal platform thing. It basically means a flat sounding amp that doesn’t break to early. That’s all.
I started enjoying it last night . New toys are great 😊 Cheers mate ! 1:51
Happy days!
Well done sir. Your presentation is articulate and easy to follow. I just bought a used Whammy 4 yesterday and your video is so helpful. I think your bands video clips are cool as well.
Thx so much. Lovely comment. Glad you found tge video useful. And cheers for the kind words about the music. Appreciated. Enjoy the new toy!!!
Two out of three isn’t bad; the Amp Academy MidI caveat. MIDI program changes don’t recall presets, and what they do recall, you cannot tweak or save for recall ability. Presets also for argument’s sake here are Classic Vintage Modern Brown Red and Iridium. Each preset can have a version of that preset complete with different FX and settings, let’s say that’s a Pro Scene. How can I select that preset hands-free with a MIDI foot switch through a MIDI USB host in this case. I don’t think you can. When you invoke a program change (PC), an associated amp model is selected, and the associated parameters of the device snap to some predefined state, as I guess and have tried to save, it isn’t a state that can be recalled, so selecting these amp models with a foot switch is therefore useless isn’t it? Because the sound of that amp model you have just selected and its associated parameters that make the preset sound good to your ears cannot be saved. It is gonna sound like it is, and if that’s what you want, great, but it’s like a lottery, spinning a wheel with no control over where that wheel lands, it’s in the country, but it’s rural and not urban, you can’t dial in a sound that can be recalled by the foot switch, that’s what I have found. Am I wrong? I would gladly be wrong in this case however, the presets, the amp category with associated IR and FX and amp settings are saved with the hardware or the editor, but the only way to recall these presets I have found, am I wrong, is with your fingers physically manipulating the tiny toggle switches into their respective positions. PC MIDI invokes a useless state, yes the amp models but without parameters in positions that make the device sound the way your ear wants to hear it. Other than that, the device is great, two out of three, Sounds Quality yes. MIDI and functionality no.
Overall I agree. But to add to that. MIDI I’ve USB isn’t MIDI. If it requires an adapter for a MIDI cable it’s not MIDI
@@TheGuitarEffect yes indeed the workaround isn't easy to get MIDI from a foot switch into the Amo Academy, The only way for me to get this working was through an iPad hosting AUM and selecting in my case the Melo Audio Midi Commander MIDI entity known as TS midi as an input in AUM and the NUX GS-6 as the output in AUM. This required the iPad the Melo Audio Midi Commander , and Apple lighting to USB adapter $60 and a USB3 powered hub, not to mention the MacBook Pro wall adapter for power to the apple lighting to USB oh and a USB cable from the hub to the adapter , it's not easy and it's not cheap.
@ like, I very much commend your commitment. Impressive lengths to go to. But there’s no way that could be called a MIDI capable pedal. Or would you agree?
Does it trim much low end?
No. Not a noticeably problematic amount anyway.
You're band sucks ! It sounds like a big mess !
Your diction is horrible, you really should take some speech lessons before you post. I can't understand your slurred speech and your talking too fast. Get it together !
Nice work. Have been checking out the Cerberus for a while and there's some great clips. Not many showing MIDI functionality. I'm looking at making a small pedalboard with a Laney Loudpedal, but also use MIDI to change the channels on my HK Tubemeister Deluxe 40 as well as user the modulation delay effects in the fx loop. Might have to use an A/B effects loop switch for the HK and the Laney
Hey Thx for the comment. One thing to note if you don’t know this already. The Cerberus can only send a MIDI PC of the number preset that you select. Ie if you select preset 4 it’s sends PC4. You can’t change this. Which makes its MIDI functionality as a rig controller severely limited.
@@TheGuitarEffect Thanks for the reply. I think that might work out. I think most channel changes on the HK TM40D are PC. I’ve done a similar thing with my old POD HD500. Set up a patch in MIDI mode with effects only and push the channel button on the HK TM40D. Then press the MIDI Learn Button on the back of the HK TM40D Then press the button on the HD500 you want to use. It might be similar with the Cerberus. If it doesn’t then I’ll have a mini rig with the Laney Loudpedal & Cerberus together. Cheers
@ yeah I think your sorted. It’s the MIDI learn functionality in the HK will make it possible
its a Guvnor circuit without the tonestack
Ah. I didn’t know that. It sounds great anyway. That’s kind of as far as my criteria go.
🤘😈🤘I still love this pedal🔥🔥🔥
In all the f the demos of drive pedals I’ve made over the last 4 years the only one that has impressed me more than this is the Trex Mudhoney 2. And it’s a pretty different thing. This is an outstanding pedal.
What is the brand/model of the switch you added? Will the switch included in the mg30 work?
The switch is a Mosky dual footswitch. I don’t know what switch comes with the MG30 but if it’s the NUX dual footswitch it will work yes
Sir It would be better if u shorten the talk at the beginning, sorry I m going to unsub, good luck
Thx for letting me know. I’ll endeavor to talk less. All the best.
@TheGuitarEffect ( I said at the beginning) there's a video from 4 years a go the title is (Joyo the American sound) I mean like that , intro starts with the subject ,no, Sir don't talk less talk in between, I mean do little bit of sound at the beginning and then little bit info and the rest exact like now.it's your channel you're the boss but in my opinion these days people or maybe people like me are under lots of stress and kind of.. anyway English is my third language and I wanna keep it short, thanks for the reply im gonna sub you back 😄 I forgot to unsub you, I understand that you talk fast cause you care I'm the same and I listened to all the stuff that you are talking and I really enjoy and learn, im 43 and I try to learn everyday, just please talk little bit about the subject of the video and in between switch to bigger perspective, thanks and sorry if I say something I didn't mean to... Keep up the good work ✌🏼
@@YorgMergyani hi Yorg. First off I want to say that you are the first person in 4 years taht has ever responded to my response to a negative comment. Which I think says a lot about you as a person. You are not trying to insult or be judgmental just offering your opinion. I get that now. It wasn’t clear from your first message. Fair play to you for clarifying. In regards to your point. Some people have shared the same sentiment. There are many reasons why I talk (sometimes at length) at the beginning of my vids. One is simply my follow of working. I’m in a band and have a high pressure job and a wife and kids. This channel comes after all those things so I have a pretty regimented way of producing the videos. You’ll notice in some videos that there is playing at the start. Sometimes I can afford that time and sometimes I can’t. As I’m not reliant on UA-cam for my income and it’s purely a creative endeavor for me I’m not under pressure for it to be successful. Whatever success comes is a benefit. My day job is in a commercial creative capacity where I have clients directing the work I make. So I really relish the creativity and autonomy I have here and in my band. Thus I kinda stick to my guns…. Sometimes to my own detriment.
Thanks for the great demo. So, in bank mode you can access only two presets by using only your feet? You can not move to next bank by pressing the foot buttons?
Hey. Thx for the comment. Now that you mention it I don’t think I’ve ever had a need to scroll through presets as I’ve always used MDI but no I don’t think that’s possible without an external footswitch. There’s no long press or double tap functionality I’m aware of.
the cerberus you could add a 2 button pedal switch into the expression input and assign some parameters to the footswitch.....does the trident do that?
I’m not 100% on this but I’m fairly sure that you can’t. To be fair the trident has twice as many footswitches as the Cerberus so it’s not as necessary.
What's that footswitch you have there?
It’s just a Mosky Dual footswitch. They’re cheap as chips on Amazon.
Thanks for the vid! I've used my Cerberus on around two dozen live gigs with amp and cabinet. I use it very simply, like 6 pedals - OD, Distortion, Boost, Modulation usually tremelo, delay set as a slapback plus reverb, and tuner. The OD is a real winner, the distortion is okay, modulation quite good, delay/reverb is very good. The weakest part of the Cerberus is the tuner. It works but is not all that easy to use. I don't use memory functions although I could see myself doing that if I was doing more covers gigs. It is a high quality multi-effect pedal
Thx for the comment. I actually find both the distortion and overdrive are on the dark side overall. I have to run the tone very high. Sometimes actually fully on with a dark guitar. I agree they’re entirely fit for purpose but not perfect. The delay and mod are up there though in my opinion. Pretty good at what they do.
I love mine but i can’t figure out how to charge it
I don’t have mine anymore I’m afraid so I can’t help you there.
Great video, thank you. However, is there a video or other resource showing you how to program midi from the Helix to the Boss?
Not that I’m super aware of it’s really simple though. Say you want to have preset 3 on the helix recall preset 1 on the RC5 1. Open command centre on the helix preset 3. 2. In the lightning bolt commands select MIDI program change. 3. Make sure you know what midi channel the RC5 is set to be select that MIDI channel. 4. Ignore MIDI CC change 5. Select number 1 under midi program change. 6. Switch to a different preset on the helix and then switch back to preset 3 to check if it works. Let me know if it works
Nice one Rob!
Thx mate. Glad you enjoyed it.
I'm starting to get really 'pissed' - as the Americans say - with being asked to 'like and subscribe' even before I've watched the video. If I like it, I will 'like' it, if I think the channel is worth following I will 'subscribe'. It comes across as 'needy' and pathetic.
Thx. I will endeavor to dial up the neediness and patheticness.
NuX are really producing solid stuff and putting it out at a great price. Can't fault them at all
Hey. Yeah they’re great. I kinda feel like they do their own thing a little bit. Mainly from a functionality POV. There are both great units.
Hi! Nice review! I own this thing, too. But did not find out, how to (instantly) change presets with the foot switches. I know, that when you press Ch A und Ch B together it starts blinking red and you can dial up presets with Ch A and dial down presets with Ch B. But how do I confirm my selection? All I can do is wait about 3 seconds till the device stops blinking. That is for me absolutely not usable in a live situation. I need a confirm switch to instantly change a preset in the moment I need it to. What am I missing? Has Mooer really not included such a simple functionality? With all the great things that this device is able to pull off, I'm basicly stuck with one preset with it's two channels per song? Can someone pls help me out?
Hey. Thx for the comment. Right now that’s my understanding too. Which I was surprised at. I haven’t had it long enough to delve into it but I will do and if I find out how to do it I’ll let you know.
