Love your channel! I think to me, it’s obvious that there are rewrites with the script. I say this because during the buildup for the penguin series, Reeves said that originally the events of the Penguin series were supposed to be the first part of the Batman 2. With that happening in the show, the first part of the script has to be different now. Also with Reeves liking to take his time, and with the quality of the Penguin series, just imagine part 2! Can’t wait!!!!!

True, but he did say he’d do a season 2 if it was warranted. I trust the crew though, they won’t do it unless there is a purpose and who knows, Maybe after the Batman 2 there won’t be a purpose and we will have our fill of Oz until the third one?
I think fans were hyped for a second season up until Episode 8 shattered them into oblivion. A second season might not have the same magic or appeal, however I’m all for it.
If they want to squeeze Millioiti’s success as much as they can. She could be a recurring character in other Rogue’s stories.
I can see her and Selina team up and take down the dirty cops that screwed them over.
Or Sophia’s rivalry with Harvey Dent.
She’s also a permanent resident in Arkham with a whole assortment of loonies.
I would like a comic accurate Mr Freeze. Needs the suit, and the freeze gun.
That would be great but, seems more likely a DCU version than a Reevesverse.
I think he did finish it when he said. He just doesn't want the plot to get around, and the best way to keep it secret is not let anyone know until he must. But that might be wishful thinking...
Might be wishful thinking, might also be the truth! We don’t know!
Going r rated only makes sense for the reevesverse. We’re just seen how much better better the penguin was because of this. Imagine what could be done with the scarecrow, or professor pyg and others and others.
I think when Gunn said some DCU projects will be R, he was talking in general and not just about Batman
I have no problem with the script being changed and the delay. After The Batman and The Penguin i have such utter trust in this world that i can only imagine that any changes are for the best. Also i don' know if i made this point sooner on your channel James, but one of the biggest strenghts of Reeves to me is his choices for collaborators and castings. He is so dead spot on and clearly has a great collaborative mind, probably a skill that he has since working on TV. Another thing James, you probably have a bigger insight into production of movies and shows. Do you think that it is possible that we get another mini-series or the second Penguin season before The Batman 2? I am not being greedy, i am just wondering is it feasible time wise and production wise. I wish that this world continues indefinitely.
He does have a great collaborative relationship and even with LeFranc on the Penguin, HBO wanted to use her and they told him about Reeves and they met and it was his decision ultimately and she obviously was the right choice (by a mile).
I don’t think we’ll get another series before the Batman 2. I don’t think it’s impossible but I don’t think they want to detract from this plan. Penguin took 2 years to get to us, the strikes played into that. I could see another series (maybe not Penguin but you know) the same year as the Batman or 2027. You’d have to think with the success of that series HBO won’t let Reeves and LeFranc sleep until there is another Batman villain series on the air LOL

they handed it in at the beginning of november. but as usual, theres always stuff that studios want changed. no surprise that its not done... as in locked in. nothing big or unusual. the Movie isnt delayed.
If the movie is delayed from October 2026 they have major concerns LOL no not delayed and it sounds like everything is on schedule
@@DigitalCharcuterie why major concerns? I wouldnt be worried about it if it was pushed back. Means they just need a little bit more time and i have no concerns about how Matt Reeves makes films. If he needs more time, let him cook. It was only pushed back once because the Strikes happened. Right now, nothing is wrong with how the movie is proceeding.
