After this, I honestly wish Penguin becomes the main villain of this universe. The joker can have a big role too but having Penguin being there since the beginning and being this fleshed out would make him a great final boss.
I think the issue with the Penguin or in general, the whole Batman comics. Is that every king pin in Gotham always plays second fiddle to joker, two face fears joker, Penguin fears joker, scarecrow fears joker, most of Batman’s rogues gallery fears joker. With the only real villain ever surpassing joker, is the court of owls as they orchestrate the poverty, the government, and the criminal underworld. I’d rather they just skip over joker, go straight to court of owls as the endgame villain for the trilogy’s. Because every version of Penguin, would lose against the joker.
I don't disagree with you, but I feel like this series sets the character up to be a main force within the universe. What I mean by that is I think he will be a main villian, but that role will not mix with the antagonist role during this crime saga. The best path for him will to be a great supporting actor that will have a consistent plot relevance, but that setup of him being clean as a whistle, combo-ing with that talk-no-jutsu will keep him out of deep danger

Sony needs to take notes because this is how you do a great solo villain project. Yea sure you can sympathize with him, you can understand where he’s coming from, and you can feel bad for his backstory, but at the end of the day, this guy is a villain, and they did such a good job of keeping him a villain all throughout the show. This show is perfect and I can’t wait for the Batman part 2
Sofia Falcone is somehow my favorite Falcone now. The only other project that gave her some prominence that I remember was The Long Halloween. She's not the muscle mommy she is from that story but man is she compelling here.
Just re-watched the ending of THE PENGUIN and I think it's super well done and Sony could learn a thing or two from THE PENGUIN. BTW, I totally forgot that Selena Kyle is Carmine Falcone's illegitimate daughter. Thanks, thumbs up, have a great day.
The penguin is my favorite live action comic book show of all time. (Those saying Daredevil I haven’t seen it) I thought Colin Farrell & Cristin Milioti was phenomenal in their roles. I personally can’t wait what’s next for the Penguin character in the upcoming sequels to The Batman and how he fits into story. Untraceable ice bullets. Melt in victims. Ice sharpnel in bombs. Keeping victims in big restaurant freezers. Maybe testing "cures" on victims before trying them on his wife.
I love how as the show is ending with Oz thinking he’s won that batsignal flashes in the sky basically saying he’s back. i really need oz to get beaten to a pulp by batman
honestly if the villain for The Batman Part 2 its entirely possible that his freeze ray can/could work in live action because (and this is hilarious) Art the Clown proved a makeshift Ice Ray made with liquid nitrogen could work, it’d just have to be a bit high tech but nothing too fantastically, regardless of who the villain will be I am beyond stoked to see The Batman 2.
Sophia Falcone was really patient throughout the entire show. She kept taking shit from Penguin and Francis and Eve, and I was waiting for her to snap, but then she just steps back and smiles every single time. For someone fed up with betrayal and someone who seemingly went insane due to her time at Arkham, she has a really calm composure.
I just knew his mother and maybe Sofia would die this episode. The Vic thing caught me alllllll the way off guard! Even thought since episode 1 I thought he would die in some way. Like penguin letting him be killed to save hisself or something. The sad fatherly hug chokehold death was painful to watch and had me completely upset. Then to take his money and toss his id…..smh Made that boy a no name victim when he literally saved his ass 50million times. I was hurt but happy that the producers allowed us to see Penguin for exactly who he is. No remorse for this dude. I can’t wait to see him get his ass beat in the Batman 2. Honestly I want a season two of this with it without the Batman. Collin did sooooo amazing! All of the cast did actually! But I need to see this man transform into penguin again. This was my favorite show of 2024. Really my favorite super hero related tv series. It was sooo good! Oz Cob a man of the people my ass! Batman get in here!!!!!!!lol
Batman just letting the crime families kill one another is not a bad move. Less work for him to do. Batman doesn’t kill but have the families killing one another well that’s not his problem.
I think they set up penguin as a major villain of the Batman 2. However, I'm hoping the main villain will be Mr. Freeze. Matt reeves said the Batman part 2 takes place in a cold setting, which sets him up.
I agree with what you said about Batman not mention especially The Penguin has interacted with him. At least a little fear with Batmans presence might appear.
I’m fully trusting anything from Matt Reeves and his universe. I’d love an Arkham series, a Gotham PD series, a clay face body horror film, a scarecrow movie, so much potential. Matt has pretty much made Todd Phillips more irrelevant. 😂💯
The acting in this show was top-notch, especially Sophia & Penguin. Speaking of the Peguin being a smooth talker, in episode 4, I almost stood up & applauded when he told Vic he should make people wait until he finishes talking. Also, I haven't seen or heard anyone say that Penguin does that same thing with his tongue that the Heath Ledger Joker did.
Me too. And it can work with the realistic aspect of the Matt Reeves universe. A scientist invents a new chemical that drugs people and makes them hallucinate in a certain way. However almost always they tease or show the villain before the sequel of the next movie. Don't forget how good of a villain hush could be either. Hush will have the ability for the viewer to see a lot more Bruce Wayne development trying to fix all the issues Hush is causing with the fake identity while having to be batman and turn him in. I would be afraid of Mr Freeze. I dont think it would work to be honest
What I loved about this show is that even though they did give oz some humanity to him it still showed at heart he is a villain and will do anything to be at the top

9:27 For the actual content of the title
2:46 I love the lil voice Chris has like he’s a local Gotham resident 🤣🤣🤣
Yess love when you bust the action figures out again for your desk, Great Review!🕴️🐧
So glad they stuck the landing 👍
Also would love to see Sofia Return in some point as well and Rip My boy Vic.
Nirvana’s Something in the Way was used so well in the first one. If they’re thinking of doing the same with an older dark song as a theme for part 2, I’m throwing Metallica’s THE UNFORGIVEN out there as my pick
Of course I have no clue how well known that song is nowadays or if it’s too recognizable, I’m very much out of touch with stuff like that.
Rizzler+Young Penguin=Chris
Was nervous you weren’t going to cover this when you didn’t do an episode by episode breakdown 😅
Heart wrenching when victor died at the end, but man. The entire series was such a good ride, loved just seeing the characters, they didn’t seem fake like some marvel shows I feel, it felt like I was watching genuine characters
The Penguin Was The Best Tv Show Of The Year Im So Excited For The Batman 2 It So Sad We Have To Wait Until 2026 But All I Want Is The Arkham Asylum Tv Series Im Looking Forward To That Tv Series 🖤
Even with his weird Oedipus complex you still rooted for the Penguin until he reminded us he's a psychopath by killing Vic.
One of the best shows I've seen in years.
Mr.freeze = dry ice! That's the key to making me.freeze more of a grounded character!
yea idk why ppl didnt think of a pressurized liquid nitrogen washer
Untraceable ice bullets. Melt in victims. Ice sharpnel in bombs. Keeping victims in big restaurant freezers. Maybe testing "cures" on victims before trying them on his wife.
Hear me out. What if he hands out freezees to children?
I love how as the show is ending with Oz thinking he’s won that batsignal flashes in the sky basically saying he’s back. i really need oz to get beaten to a pulp by batman
Loved the Top Hat
Thrown right over that umbrella ✔️
This show was great and that finale was amazing. That jab at IGN though Chris you are the greatest 😂
4:31 bro wtf that looks like you as a kid, with an accent😂
honestly if the villain for The Batman Part 2 its entirely possible that his freeze ray can/could work in live action because (and this is hilarious) Art the Clown proved a makeshift Ice Ray made with liquid nitrogen could work, it’d just have to be a bit high tech but nothing too fantastically, regardless of who the villain will be I am beyond stoked to see The Batman 2.
Amazing show! It really surprised me
Sophia Falcone was really patient throughout the entire show.
This show was amazing! I didnt want it to end. Every episode was perfection! I would love for there to be a second season.
I think I must be stupid I always took that line as Batman asking penguin if he knew his reputation
Masterpiece! Matt Reeves knows how to make quality projects. 👏🏻🔥
Batman just letting the crime families kill one another is not a bad move. Less work for him to do. Batman doesn’t kill but have the families killing one another well that’s not his problem.
Exactly. Same principle that Christian bale Batman did with Rag Al Ghul where he didn’t kill him but he didn’t save him either.
thats not how batman works. the reason he didnt do anything is because of the crime spike riddler caused
I think they set up penguin as a major villain of the Batman 2. However, I'm hoping the main villain will be Mr. Freeze. Matt reeves said the Batman part 2 takes place in a cold setting, which sets him up.
The last episode was amazing!!
Less is more, the Batman 2 another TV show, the Batman 3 and then stop
Todd Phillips made himself irrelevant after joker 2 was made lol. Loved joker but damn dude dropped the ball. Reeves is still doing well.
@@cngotham4111 exactly me too
@@darron118i agree. Less is more
The acting in this show was top-notch, especially Sophia & Penguin. Speaking of the Peguin being a smooth talker, in episode 4, I almost stood up & applauded when he told Vic he should make people wait until he finishes talking. Also, I haven't seen or heard anyone say that Penguin does that same thing with his tongue that the Heath Ledger Joker did.
When he killed victor that blow me
Pause

"The red lights" by 3cfilms back when The Batman was about to premier. lol i loved how he screamed it. lol classic
Little Oz, Cris, The penguin
Pokémon evolution
Cool video 3c films
13:39 I’m prayinggg for hush or scarecrow
Personally, I think Harvey Dent (not Two-Face, Harvey Dent) will be in the sequel with Black Mask and Deadshot as the main villains
JUSTICE FOR VIC
That's why they showed the bat symbol at the end. Don't worry penguin will get his.
The penguin is by farrrrr the greatest comic book show of all time, and it’s also one of the greatest shows of all time
Dude really went form saying the show sucked to the show is epic lol 🤣
He's a child molester.
The Penguin has surpassed my expectations for sure
Sony needs to hire The Penguin writers for their villain spin offs.
I think Sony loves being woke too much
@@A_r78 define woke. you realize class struggle and authoritative corruption would be “woke” right? like half the show also has a woman in the forefront and a lead supporting biracial character 💀
@A_r78 the penguin writer and showrunner is very "woke" but luckily, she is also very talented and gave us a great show. I feel you can be woke and still make good content lol you just have to have talent
@@ninanando didn’t see the DC villains meeting up on social media to talk about voting for Kamela … cough cough the avengers 😂
@A_r78 that has nothing to do with Marvel itself, though.
Thanks Chris it was great hearing your ideas about Batman Part 2. Too bad it’s gonna be a couple years but at least we know it’s gonna be great coming from Matt Reeves yeah
Best show of the decade!!!!!
I don’t think I’ve cried for a side character so much before in my life the way Victor was like “PLEASE PLEASE OZ” bro 😭😭
2:11 🤔I can excused the absence of 🦇Batman if they use mention of something like the serum (Venom) 💉he used to give him a boost forcing him to take downtime to recover.(kind of like the comics- withdrawal symptoms)
that was just adrenaline
@@ninanando if the case adrenaline taken during life and death situations can cause irreparable harm. Even with all the wealth that Bruce has; he would need to go through a deload or recovery phase. (If you wanna take the realistic approach) imagine soldiers recovering from shell shock or regular civilians dealing with violent traumatic evens...
@@ninanando adrenaline is not bright green and doesn't make you more aggressive than a pitbull that just saw a toddler walk by
@@ninanandono in the comics he was using banes formula and it was green that was a callback to the moment. In theory we have to assume in year one he has experiences all of those villains in that time frame even if they didn’t show it to us.
The beauty about the setup is that in spite us having to wait two years for the next movie, all of the makeup and the prosthetics he wore, as if he didn't age a bit
