It's weird how we see no Infantry variations between any of the US generals. You'd think Alexander being a Marine general would have resulted in her soldiers being replaced with Marines? Or perhaps Townes replacing his missile infantry with a hand held laser cannon (like the Spartan laser from Halo). In addition, I know Alexander is the Superweapon general but feels like the particle cannon could easily work with Townes with his laser focus stuff. Overall it feels like the devs were struggling to think of variations for the US factions compared to the GLA and China factions. Also never made sense why General Alexander didn't get tanks, they mesh so well with her steamroller play style. But yeah letting her have Marines as a unique infantry would be pretty tight. Also General Townes should have gotten the improved power plants.
i've think Townes missile infantry is a b... when you play against him on med or hard they keep the laser sight on all the damn time, dunno if it a bug but 3 of them can turn a small army of tanks from the tank commander into scap. i've seen more then one time :/ plus there is like no time from when they target with the laser sight to they start to fire,
One more detail for General Alexanders' Particle Beam. It moves around way faster than an ordinary Particle Beam Cannon, while with the ordinary Beam you are probably going to hit a small line's worth of targets, with the Pink Beam you are going to make zigzag lines hitting multiple targets because it moves so much faster.
It's been so long since I played, but I'm pretty certain you could make the normal ones move faster as well, by double clicking when directing it to move the beam.

I like using the Chinese Infantry General. The troops get mini guns and the Helix is available really early on. Add a battle bunker and fill it with two mini gunners and six rocket soldiers, it’s a flying death machine. Great for picking up oil derricks early, drop off a mini gunner and the Helix runs defense during the capture. They aren’t great against anti air, and the Helix itself is difficult to level, it’s slow, and when it’s destroyed you lose everyone inside, but they can be cranked out and filled pretty quickly. Great for a quick early game win.
There was one thing with the Combat Chinooks that you missed or perhaps not even aware of. If Rangers equipped with the flash bang and with it set as primary attack mode enters the Chinook, the Chinook effectively becomes a flying building clearer and can pass over a city infested with garrisoned enemy troops and clear them out in seconds or a minute or two depending on the size of the city.
I know right? Same goes for alexander, I know she was suppose to have 2 more superweapons. Counter parts to the scud storm and nukes. Also, I still play to this date, Laser general main all the way 😁

Unfortunately, as I've mentioned in the US overview, the Comanche project was scrapped and the Apache is still reliable even without stealth so oh well, pipe dream... As least the game acknowledges its existence... 11:32 So basically it fires a volley of 4 MIM-104 "Patriot" Missiles modified with EMP warheads... 12:02 That and her logistics is just that flawless... Don't make sense for the whole increase in vehicle production costs though... Seriously, $850 for a Humvee?... 🤨 13:07 Actually, the Aurora Alpha can maintain supersonic speed during the return flight, only slowing down to make turns aka after dropping its payload and during landing... 14:06 Again owing to her flawless logistics, requesting the aid of Special Forces(such as a commando like Burton) is that easy... 14:30 Wait, I thought her home front base of operations is in Camp Franklin?... 17:30 Thanks to the map layout, in order to directly assault the base's outer perimeter, you'll need transports... Chinooks for Townes or Granger, Helixes for the Chinese Generals, and for the GLA Generals, they start with the Sneak Attack already available like in "On the Waterfront"... But considering the whole outer perimeter is littered with EMP Patriot Launchers, unless you're Granger, God help you. 18:42 "US Army War College"... Wouldn't it be easy to just say West Point, EA?... 😑 20:13 Think of it as the Generals version of the Allies' Prism Tank, without the laser refracting to other targets... There's a reason Townes don't use Tomahawk Launchers, *THEY'RE* the siege units... 21:26 According to supplemental unofficial sources, there's a reason for all that(and the reason why you're briefed about the defenses)... Townes got so fed up of all the shortcomings after the total US pullout in Europe that he decided to just shut himself off inside Fort Union and turned its entire laser defense system against *ANYTHING* military related, effectively going rogue... 24:09 "Particle Cannon... I wonder what happens if we cross the beams."
Point of order, the Comanche was a replacement for the O/AH-58, not the Apache, which is part of what led to its cancellation, since it was seen as too heavily armed and too expensive for the role it was meant to take.
@@f22littleraptor21 Like I said, it's all from supplemental unofficial sources... Headcanon, for short... Also, the Aurora Alpha's payload is a Fuel Air Bomb rather than a conventional bomb, giving much more destructive capability.
my favorite general was the laser one ah the memories, wish they did a remake with new models etc
C&C Generals was one of the first video games I ever played, it is one of my most loved games.
Fun fact = CnCGenerals release date (2002) is nearer to Super Mario first released time (1985), than to this present year (2022)
Generals/Zero Hour was released in 2003...
The only way to defeat Granger as Tao i could find is to spam all types of AA in the beggining, and then, make MIGs, when they're upgraded, a single strike of four can destroy an airfield.
Well my friend. I cannot wait for you to go over the story of this beautiful game. I practically grew up with it and its so satisfying to see at least one other person talking about it.
👍🏻
The EMP Patriot is the stuff of nightmares when combined with Pathfinders or any other anti-infantry unit and some form of anti-stealth unit as well.
But not Nuke Cannons :) :)
They are intimidating, though you could always use Aurora Alphas to blow them apart.
Nuclear MIGs can take out 2 of them and return with no losses.
she has Avengers in her arsenal making it a formidable defense
@@ForTheBrotherhood and what if she has Avengers...
I really wish we saw General Ironsides who I believe was going to be either a boss General like the Tigress or the US Tank General.
Actually it was suppose to be General Ironside if you're using US faction, General Leang if Chinese faction and Mohammar Deathstrike if GLA faction. Perhaps because it was released too early and without thinking, the concept was scrapped and left with General Leang instead. But yeah, it could've been fun and better.
@@joshuacabral2348 There were plans for an American tank general that didn't make it very far. Though based on Ironside's quotes he was probably supposed to be a boss general since he doesn't make any references to relying on any type of unit over all else.
It seems like a lot of stuff planned for the Generals Challenge didn't make it in given you don't even fight all the generals.
@@joshuacabral2348 I though you can face against other boss generals when playing as any general because they have quotes when you have Commandos and Superweapons from all factions.
Eg. you can only fight against Ironside if you play as any US Generals. But he has quotes about non US Commandos(Black Lotus and Jarmen) and Superweapons (Scud storm and Nuke Silo) if you train or build them
Ironic that the F22 is not stealth even though it is far stealthier in real life than the F117. In game if should have been a F16 or F15 instead to make sense.
The game came out at the height of the F-22 Hype since it entered service in 2007 a few years after the game released.

Wow, so fast after the previous video! I can't wait to watch it. :)
It’s a damn shame the generals for all factions wasn’t more utilized in the campaign
The doctor and the prince of the GLA get to show up in the main story, which is better than the rest who didn't appear at all.
This is a fantastic video collection Jethild!! I love this game to death so you have my eternal gratitude for giving it so much love and care!!! The Airforce General is my favourite General in Zero Hour, function is yours?
China Nuke and Infantry are arguably the best there is. Infantry is my most used faction.
@@joshuacabral2348 Yeah they r really great to play as, especially vs air based enemies, like, aircraft have no chance against infantry! But they do lack heavy hitters, like, if u need something heavy... all i can think is a bunch of Helix loaded with infantry but even those can get easily destroyed... so they lack a heavy punch...
@@andreaspavlides7560 Infantry General have access to Nuke and Inferno Cannons 🙂🙂🙂
@@joshuacabral2348 yes, but where overlord? Also, China has the worst artillery. Nuke cannons are painful to move and inferno's are weak in small numbers. USA tomahawks have massive range and are stupidly precise. And GLA rocket buggies are well, GLA rocket buggies.
@@Honzik207 Overlords are great but 5 US MDs can take it out inside a Humvee. Its strong and can be a game changer but it totally depends on a specific situation.
Don't underestimate China Artillery units because they are the only artillery units in this game that their projectile can never be stopped. Tomahawks and SCUD missles can be shot down by basic defenses and the dreaded US Avenger.
Fun note, even in the Shockwave mod, Townes is the only USA General out of the 4 who had modified Crusaders and Paladins.
Playing the Laser General grants you access to the already existent Laser Crusader, as well as the new Laser Paladin.
Yeah
They could modified Paladin Canon into Laser like Crusader into Laser Tank
but, since ALMOST all the ideas was scrapped so, glad the Shockwave Mod fixed any issues on any CnC Generals Unit Diversity
@@ReiSyre62 I agree. That and they made Infantry so frigging broken.
The Commanche had a way better career in fiction compared to real life.
I already know this will be worth the wait!
👍🏻
This guy still making CnC lore videos in 2022 is a legend.
Another video I like without even watching a second
That was quick.
Finally been waiting for your next generals video. Love your content man. Can't wait for more!!
👍🏻
there is nothing more terrifying in Generals than seeing a bunch of aurora alphas screaming towards your base
A rotating horde of Granger's Comanches with two Chinooks that shoot down missiles trying to kill those?
@@TheArklyte avengers, gattling tanks and quad cannons hard counter any helicopters in numbers
Gatling cannons solve any aircraft, and nuclear MIGs make sure aircraft won't return.
Yes I was waiting for this
a video so fresh it's missing its thumbnail i still love your content in general
also playing as townes with search and destroy is the deadliest combo in the game and you can't convince me otherwise
Here's me Activing Search and Destroy after I build my Strategy Center because young me thought the Radars Look Cool or hoping I could get that Automatic Sniper Missile Defender bug that I see while fighting against USA AI
Almost 25k subscribers! Yay!
Huh. And here I am playing a challenge as the Air Force general
You are the best maaan, we want more videos like this
I read that the devs planned for Townes to be able to field a Laser Burton, but that idea was shelved. As if regular Burton wasn't deadly enough.
Hey, Hey!!!! Been looking forward to this for a while! Great work as always!
9 Generals, but there is another, and the tigress is not intimidated by any of the 9.
She could still be defeated , however.
I need to play this game again
A good video to watch on my Friday at work keep up the great content.
That Townes mission was one of my favorites, the darkness of the map was cool and the laser defensive weapon was so OP
Laser General was always my favorite
A very nice video I would like to see a video about the game story
There was one thing with the Combat Chinooks that you missed or perhaps not even aware of. If Rangers equipped with the flash bang and with it set as primary attack mode enters the Chinook, the Chinook effectively becomes a flying building clearer and can pass over a city infested with garrisoned enemy troops and clear them out in seconds or a minute or two depending on the size of the city.
Your helping new people potentially become fans of C&C. Keep up the good work.
Top quality as always
Ditto
Well made video. Appreciate your superb work!
👍🏻
I wish Townes didn't have 90% of his unique stuff cut from the final game.
I know right? Same goes for alexander, I know she was suppose to have 2 more superweapons. Counter parts to the scud storm and nukes. Also, I still play to this date, Laser general main all the way 😁
@@trueredpanda1538 Laser Mains forever
Laser gaming
If only this game was available on steam, that would be so great for those not wanting to buy the whole collection just for one game.
But either way these videos help shine light how ridiculous all of the factions are, from China's Dragon Tanks and Nuke Cannons to GLA Bomb Trucks and Terrorists and of course the USA Partical Cannon and Tomahawk Missile launcher, this was probably Command and Conquer at it's best it's so hilariously cheesy and so freaking awesome!
And these videos are amazing too, you help keep the small(relatively compared to the other two series) fanbase alive. You really did amazing jobs on all the videos, they're very entertaining and informative. You've done a great job on showing us the Command and Conquer universe for those who can't play the games, and even to those that can but would like to see more and everything they do know explain in greater detail. Keep up the great work, we all appreciate you and your effort on making these videos.
This was a honorable journey and here it ends i hope you do more generals of generals lore let this not be the end of this epic game

so, with C&C settled, how about the next discussion be about Supreme Commander ???
G.Malcolm: master of planes but he desagrade the ground.
Coward Americans, figth in the ground!
G.Alexander: master of ultimate tecnology but she was not stop to spam the atack with aurora alpha in your base.

G.Townes: masters of laser but all your army was desconect if he don’t have power.
For bad lucky the disconect opcion don’t exist in CNCgenerals xD
Another amazing video
Excellent!
3:52 This was exactly what the Comanche would've been, a stealth gunship replacement for the Apache...
13:07 Actually, the Aurora Alpha can maintain supersonic speed during the return flight, only slowing down to make turns aka after dropping its payload and during landing...
20:13 Think of it as the Generals version of the Allies' Prism Tank, without the laser refracting to other targets...
Actually the army war college is different than West Point it’s an advanced school for officers similar to the naval war college
Oh I see...
Point of order, the Comanche was a replacement for the O/AH-58, not the Apache, which is part of what led to its cancellation, since it was seen as too heavily armed and too expensive for the role it was meant to take.
So general Townes actually gone rogue? I never knew that in the lore.
@@f22littleraptor21 Like I said, it's all from supplemental unofficial sources... Headcanon, for short...
Considering Townes' growing frustration when losing and him calling his opponents "bumbling buffoons", it shows that he has developed a superiority complex and may be a driving reason for him to go rogue...
Best weakness is use a fake super weapon 23:45 if on hard mode against townes.
Flawless video as always Commander/General Jethild! Seems like you're all done with this series eh? What's next? My recommendation? Company of Heroes (1 and 2)! And you could call us Commanders in the Intros as well!

Granger gangsta until he hears someone saying "I'll puncture the next thing that moves"
General Townes has predator drones under the ramps of his base. They cannot be targeted. So he is very good at detecting stealth units that are attacking. Also, you can hear his voice when the tomahawk strike occurs in the USA campaign against Dr. Thrax.
Oh, yeah! I've waited for this part of the story!
When fighting Alexis as the GLA, you get the Sneak Attack General Power so that you can Island Hop as the GLA lack Air assists to move around the map. She also doesn't like it when you capture her Particle Cannon near the starting areas

Something I noticed about the Aurora Alpha is the fact that while in-game, it is black, but in its image (the image you click to produce the unit), it is colored white with a gray stripe...Some Zero Hour mods like Shockwave and Pro Gen fix rhe discrepancy.
this game needs a remaster. id say a sequel but i lost hope after what they did
You should make videos about cut generals. Like ironside or deathstrike. On shockwave mode they re op
I wish the USA generals were more developed, they just don’t have that much variation compared to the GLA and China.
Glad to have seen these videos before getting into the game.
