That’s true passion. When a guy spends significant money and time to have his dream car. If you have Jay Leno money you can have pretty much any car you want and as many as you want. You can even hire people to find them for you. I’m not saying Jay Leno doesn’t have passion for cars. He clearly does but this guy made hard choices and probably did without other things to have this car. Maybe skipped a few lunches. It probably represents a percentage of his income far beyond the percentage that Jay Leno spent to have his Duesenberg or several other cars.

Marilyn used a white, '60 Cadillac, six-window sedan. Not sure who owned it? Her character had a damaged '59 Cadillac convertible, in "The Misfits " She also owned a black, '52 Series 62 Cadillac convertible that Jack Benny gave her, in lieu of a radio show payment.
It’s hard to believe that some cars coming out of Detroit were this beautiful. And that was the time when manufacturing was not as refined as today. The body panel stampings alone must have been tuff. Great job.
My girlfriends dad bought a new Chrysler Imperial convertible in 1963. Metallic Red with white leather interior. Those were the days of 30 cent gasoline.
My book has it as Model 60-64E , Body style 6467E Biarritz-conv 6p. 1,285 made. Base price $7401.00 . Gas mileage 14 miles per gallon with vehicle going 60 mph.

Thank you Lou Constable & the crew that put this presentation together. Jim created an astounding work of art that can only be created out of love, compassion, and skills of his craft. 1960 is special to my wife and me. That's the year we were married. I went to school with her since 5th. grade. Married 59 years this June 4th. Wouldn't change anything in our lives except for business associates. They were three lawyers an undertaker and older brother. Literally stole 2million from my Corporation. Destroyed me emotionally. What I do have is my wife two wonderful sons Jesus Christ and memories that no one can steal. Amen. Thanks again guys for a wonderful story of dedication and perseverance. @@loucostabile, I'm in there buddy! I've enjoyed your channel for some time! I think it's very important for young people to get even just a glancing appreciation for the fact that American cars used to be a radically new design every year or so! For this service alone your channel is invaluable for these newer generations! You pull from diverse areas also which is entertaining and informative. 😊 You know, before the internet, the book emporium was about the only way to see most of what you're showing! It seemed to begin fading away as soon as it was produced, but now , wow huh!? We had Hemmings when we were young but most kids didn't. Dad would give them to me and I would pass them on to my friends after reading them from cover to cover. Lol Dad had so many of Floyd Clymer's publications too..

I remember a lot of men in my family back then, had two sizes of engine belts........one for winter and one for summer. The winter belt was smaller, just for engine use. The summer belt was larger for use with running the AC unit, so you didn't overtax the AC compressor, as they were expensive to repair. This is why you don't see the belt running over the AC compressor.

Glad you like this one. Thank you for commenting, Lou
Great job.
Hi Mark, High praise :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou

I got a 60 Eldorado biarritz used, for my birthday in 1970. it was dark arroyo tourquoise , white top, black leather, all options that were available. I know these cars inside and out. Your car is absolutely beautiful. I would be scared to take it out on the street ! Thanks for the video-

God Bless

What an exceptional car. '60 was one of my favorite years, for the sleek simplicity of the design. That Eldorado is increadibly rare. He's a lucky guy.

@@loucostabile,
I'm in there buddy! I've enjoyed your channel for some time! I think it's very important for young people to get even just a glancing appreciation for the fact that American cars used to be a radically new design every year or so! For this service alone your channel is invaluable for these newer generations! You pull from diverse areas also which is entertaining and informative. 😊
You know, before the internet, the book emporium was about the only way to see most of what you're showing! It seemed to begin fading away as soon as it was produced, but now , wow huh!? We had Hemmings when we were young but most kids didn't. Dad would give them to me and I would pass them on to my friends after reading them from cover to cover. Lol
Dad had so many of Floyd Clymer's publications too..
I guess Gods Caddy must have needed some finishing touches that’s why Jim got called home. What a great car beautiful job!
HI Bill, You're right, Lou
Gorgeous color combination on a 1960 Biarritz, the cloth top looks like velvet. The Seville would be equally gorgeous in this color combination.
Hi Steve, Happy to read you appreciate the looks of this car :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing. Lou
Wow !what a gorgeous Caddy ,not just a car ,but a work of art on wheels !Love the color too,one of my favorite year Cadillacs.Puts every car /truck /suv they make today to shame .Looks like a rocket ship/ufo on wheels.

I was born in 60.... love the cadillac convertible. beautiful for sure... dont make works of art anymore. Wish I owned it..... wouldnt fit in most garages these days either... Rode in a few in the day.... like riding on air and sitting on a couch....Had a friend that had one and drove kinda crazy and she blared the horn coming down the street in the convertible so you knew she was coming.........
Hi AwesomeDaddy, Thank you for viewing and sharing your story and love for this year Cadillac :-) Lou
Getting those long side chrome or stainless pieces to fit the body panels was a classy piece of design, manufacturing and fitting!

Old Perry Masons are runiing on local tv and he often drives gorgeous cars. He had a maroon Eldo with white interior...sidekick had white Continental...
