I’m the youngest of 3, growing up in the ‘60’s, I was the remote. I sat by the TV reading a book, waiting till my dad needed the channel changed, lol.
Same here. My dad had a voice remote (me) in the 60’s. And when we got a color set in the late 60’s I had to adjust the color with the tint knob so the golf greens didn’t look blue.

Jim always makes me giggle no matter how shitty I feel, no matter how depressed I am. Thank God he's doing these videos. He does seem sad on those outros though. I wish him peace of mind and happiness. He certainly clears my mind and lifts me up when I am low.

you should check out his old material. Definitely more blue and slightly subversive. He's made his niche as a "family-friendly" comic but he wasn't always that way. He's still amazing don't get me wrong but its interesting to see where he started.

Anyone else old enough to remember when tv's had vertical hold buttons and you'd have to get up to stop the picture from constantly scrolling upwards? And, as soon as you sat back down, it would do it again? That's why you learned to do squats in gym class. Up, down, up, down, up, down! Then, of course, there was the rabbit ear antenna on top of the tv that you had to constantly adjust to get a clear picture. It was really a special moment when both the vertical hold and the rabbit ears were acting up. That's why you learned how to do Jumping Jacks in school- it was so that when you finally had a fit, you wouldn't attack the tv and would just stand there jumping up and down and waving your arms. Most people don't know that but I swear it's true.
