I was supposed to clean my garage out this morning buuuuuut, here I am watching Gaffigan talking about laziness, lol.
I'm watching him while laying in bed.
I listen while I’m doing the dishes.
laziness well spent 🙌🙌🙌🙌
You can do both. But on headphones.
God bless this guy...having a little anxiety today and I'm forgetting about it. I guess laughter IS the best medicine!
Same here , bless you 💜
Jim Gaffigan is in a very rare club within the comedy community: He makes people laugh, and he does it without ever relying on vulgarity, or gross images in his act. Jim's talent is observational comedy at its best. Shine on, Jimmy! 🤩
Legend of clean comedy.
He wasn't 100% clean back then, I remember his non-TV standup shows in the early 2000s used to have a handful of F-bombs in them, but I think he realized the material was just as good without them.
Well there’s Seinfeld
Agreed…. Clean standup (agreed also w/ Seinfeld) but Jim just cracks me up… both great.
My favorite joke of his is still the one about being at church praying but really thinking about "... did I go to Wendy's twice yesterday?"
Peace be with you, and an extra piece for you
Same here!
Many years ago, I was lucky enough to work with Jim Gaffigan at the Manchester Comedy Festival at the Buzz Club. What a masterclass. I still smile at his mayonnaise material twenty odd years later.
seem like a down to earth guy , decent .

Are his eyes brown?
I'm not sure, but they *are* round.@@mytwocents7303
22 years later and this is still funny.
He looks so healthy, "said in the Gaffigan whisper "
U got it!
He killed it here. He's still killing it. One of the best ever.
Hot Pockets!
Watching his career trajectory in reverse is amazing, because his genius was right there at the very start. Everyone is all about Chapelle, Burr and CK, which they should be, but this guy has put his time in and produces
"Anybody here The Pope?"
That had me dying. Such perfect delivery.
There he is! The leader of all the Catholics!
I love how casually he kills.
22 years later and he still looks...translucent
That’s the worst word to use
LOL
He looks older the younger he is.
At age 5 he had an 80 year old face.
At age 80 he will look 5 years old.
This young Gaffigan kid shows a lot of promise.
His comedy holds up even years later!😆
One of my favorites, he makes comedy fun, not just funny.
Good way of describing him... his lighthearted, riiculous, and silly.
I think he’s become my favourite purely cause even though I won’t always laugh out loud all the time I enjoy listening to his stories to the point where I know like 3 of his specials by heart😂

When he whispers is what gets me... Lol 😆😂😆😂😆😂
Yes!!
Ty!!! 🙌👋🤗🙏
His alter ego!
@@DouglasNicholson-ff6ep LOVE IT 🤣...
Jim is just hilarious....
I remember staying up way past my bedtime to watch Comedy Central Presents and this one was a favorite ❤
I forgot all about these but that corny jazz and those graphics brought me back to my childhood.
I remember using the "Lifetime Television for Women" joke and cracking up all my 5th grade classmates lol
Do you know what year was this from?
@@oscarzarraga8107 The credits say 2000.
Sneaking into the family room after everyone went to bed just to binge standup comedy, and I remember this one so fondly.
I predict Jim gets married and has five kids
😉
Good call.
Psychic!
@@starrynight2218🔮 😆
He also seems to have more hair now than he had then.
He's so uniquely funny! 😂
Jim Gaffigan use to look like Ed Begley Jr.
Now he looks like Philip Seymour Hoffman.
This was my first Gaffigan experience, so happy to run across it again!
I used my vacation time to get a neccerary operation. When the hospitality cart came around, I bought a post card with the picture of the hospital. I wrote, "Having a great time. Wish you were here. The veil is great, but the food is lousy." and sent it to where I worked. It was on the bulletin board when I returned.
That mayonnaise bit had me dying at work
When my doctor tells me to lose weight, I just tell him I have a layer of blubber to keep me warm in the ocean.
Brilliant, clean humor all the way through. Jim Gaffigan is a treasure!
There's something about him to make you want to give a big old hug
No comedian on the planet could get a laugh from the line "This city has big buildings I like food bye" like this man.
Been a fan ever since I saw this special 20 years ago. That’ll grab you by the horn.
What horn? Lol
Gaffigan before the kids -- priceless! 😂
2 decades have passed😳...good times man🥲
He's too funny 🤣! Everyone can relate to his comedy.
I didn’t laugh once.
@@Zipperneck. Okay. Sorry? Ha ha! Not sorry.
@@Zipperneck. brother nobody asked you to admit you don’t have a sense of humor 🤣
@@mellowwbeats7918 lol
@@mellowwbeats7918 that’s ur brother? Don’t take this wrong, but did ur mother enjoy hallucinogens? Zipper neck and Mellow Beats. Both great names but very unique. She had to be trippin balls to come up with Zipperneck.
He grew some hair! 🤪 One of the best intelligent comedians ever! & Clean
Great comedy delivered with such poise and tact that he makes it seems effortless. Cannot believe this was 23 years ago too! My how time flies.....non-linearly :O)
23 yrs ago.......sounds like today.....great
He’s the best comedian ever, I can honestly never get enough!!!
can you get enough dishonestly?
Really? 😂
Glad I'm not the only one that feels that way!
Hot Pockets! Yeah Jim's got a great outlook and delivery that to me rivals the greats like Seinfeld..Carlin..Chappell. ..Murphy..Pryor..Burns..Burle..Marx..Willians..etc..
He's skilled...but HARDLY the "best comedian ever".
This has inspired me to earn more money and buy more hair. Thanks Jim!
He the 🐐 of comedy. Always funny. Has the talent to make anything hilarious, god love him. Doesn't have to swear so all the family can go see him. Thank you Jim 💕
I swear I met him when he was still a commercial writer in Chicago back in the early 2000's. Even though he did this special he wasn't famous yet.
"Smoke pot and become a lawyer 😂
185, i love it smoke pot become a lawyers,Lol🤞✌✌
Wow, Lol! I can't believe how funny he was and still is.... I burst out laughing a number of times which seems rare to my in my older years. Jim is just a delight, and I hope we have him around for years to come. 😀👍🐰☮
My favorite joke ever from him is the one about the manatee!! Such a classic!!😂😂😂😂😂❤
I love to see a man who doesn’t drink! I’m a woman who doesn’t drink and I can totally relate to ppl’s reactions when you say “I don’t drink”. They look at you like you’re a weirdo 😂
I know what you mean - I actually love to see someone who doesn't use mayo
Man this was a long time ago. 2000? That wasn't that long ago. Oh crap. 2000 was a long time ago.
Back when everyone was afraid of computers crashing everywhere 🤓
1:56 It’s weird to hear single Jim Gaffigan. So much of his act since this special is about his wife and kids.
Agreed Mr. Commenter. Do you think it was love at first sight? I like to think it was.
@@Take-the-TicketFor him, definitely. For her……
"something smells like smoke in here!" LOL i hate that person. 😎💨
U know ur good when people are clapping after EVERY joke, geez lol
I remember seeing this when I was 12. Never had cable and was at a hotel. Never forgot the “heat” joke. Forgettable joke, but I ended up being a huge fan decades later. I’d typically forget that joke and ever seeing it, but I think my destiny was to love Jim Gaffigan haha.
It's cool, that the "heat joke" turned you into.. a fan! 🤓🤣
"It just so happen you live in the ocean cuz you aint got no job."😂😂😂 This was the first time i ever saw Jim Gaffigan. Been a fan ever since.
I'm addicted to mayonnaise 🥺
This special was a formative experience for me. So glad it's on here.
Jim also became a good funny actor on shows and movies.
😁😁😁😁
This guy has me rolling lol 🤣
He’s so dang funny. That delivery…😅
Oh shoot full special UA-cam ???? Jim back ? I'm here for it
I did find it startling when I returned to the Continental U.S. from Guam and I saw all the bottled water on the beverage aisle in the supermarket. All these decades later the trend still continues.
This was filmed before the hot pocket was even invented.
No comedian can beat his rate of laughs per minute
Dangerfield
Mitch Hedberg is up there for sure
Great memories! He's still killing it to this day too.
Need my Jim laugh tonite 😊
Such a great set! Thanks Jim. We all listen to you over and over and over because you are so funny.❤
Very true
Funny how the hair on the top middle came back after all these years. 😂
It’s the beard comb over
Wow, Jim is so skinny in the thumbnail that I didn't recognize him!
This guy is the greatest 😂
oh man that soundtrack is so nostalgic! haven’t heard it in years!
So funny about the bottled water and Mexican food!
It's impressive he's so funny without being crude or using profanity.....
What's crazy is that not 1 female comedian is funny without being crude.
He's pretty amazing, and funny 😂
@@NoloPrime lol
You might be a red neck if.
Wow! A classic!
Man looks like he grew up at an elderly home, and today he looks like he visits his grandma every other month.
The world before 911 and cell phones. The best times gone forever.
That's what they use to say when they replaced the horse and buggy with cars and airplanes.u loser.
Still one of my fav comedy specials
26
Thanks for all the laughs ❤😂
"You live in the ocean cuzyou aint got no job!"
He really nails it!
Jim Gaffigan is 92% sexier after his marriage to Jeannie.💚💚💚
Jim’s the man!
Does it mention when this was taped? must be a long time ago, he's married with several kids, and I believe has a beard now LOL
it's weird to see him this thin! But this is such a classic special - '6 kids, catholic' gets me everytime lol
Hey- We can still enjoy humor without offending everyone - bring some more of this back!
I know what you mean
You mean not getting offended at everything
Best comic ever!! 😂
Maybe he’ll do another 20 minutes on horses…😝😂
"Are you addicted to mayonnaise"?
One of the few shows where I am laughing embarrassedly out loud, most of the way through it.
Jim Gaffigan is one of the only comedians that doesn’t rely on bad words and also while he cartoonishly exaggerates (no matter how dumb he may sound) can be profound and make the audience resonate lmao he’s a deadpan genius
"if we give the alien a cold" best line
I think why I gravitate to Jim is purely because he has a baseline for his comedy which is “fat” but he’s so varied in the rest of his acts that I never feel like I’m listening to the same thing twice and that alone is incredibly skilled to curate!
I can listen to him any time, just great
So talented and funny
Lol OK I'm watching this because I can't find my TV remote. But I *CAN* cast UA-cam from my phone. Before that, hubby was watching the same channel for hours because he couldn't find the remote.
Legendary
The most talented comedian still alive!
Nope Jim Breuer is the best family oriented comedian; by a long shot!!!
The Comedy Central Presents of this era were pure gold. Please do Adam Ferrara next!
In Japanese, dolphin 🐬 is written as sea pig and an alternative way of saying (not writing) canned tuna is sea chicken.
This was so FUNNY ,This made me a fan. Only a small percentage bought water and it exploded. And everyone drank bottled water. Celebrities, Musicians. And the PHONES WERE NEW.🗾🗾🗾🗾🗾🗾🗾 Japan 😀😀😀😀.I used to Love these ....'97 '98, '99 '2000
What can I say? He's really, really good.
I remember seeing this with my mom years ago on a Friday night and I've been a huge fan ever since.
22 years later, and this hilarious special is still relevant... just replace Ricki Lake with Maury Povich.
I saw him on Dr. Katz with the manatee bit, then this special. I was hooked.
Best comedian ever
He looked like Albino Steven Curtis Chapman 😂😂
This has me laughing my ass off! 🤣
I think this guy could be famous one day
