    Jim Gaffigan is so cute and funny, but it is his delivery that is hysterical 😄

    I loved his dad advice . My very senior friend had a huge basement with his grown children’s belongings. One year he wrapped everything in Christmas paper & put it under the tree. When they unwrapped it he told them “what you don’t take today goes out to the trash tomorrow “

    I agree with Kelly not everyone's a winner. If we don't teach our kids how to lose we do a disservice to them. This is another step as to why we have high suicide rates, road rage and the like. People don't know how to process and move on to the next chapter. When one door closes another one opens. It's in the journey that we truly live.

      And best of all, she didn't constantly interrupt her guest. She was part of the conversation, but she let him have the spotlight. That's a delicate balancing act.

    He's an awesome comedian and obviously a great Dad and husband! My husband worked three different shifts for 35 yrs. That left me making most of the disciplinary decisions for three children. I always had my husbands support on any decisions made, but when he disciplined them, I could see they didn't take him seriously. Leaving our kids thinking they may have gotten off easy. I would remind them that I was president of the family and I could, and would, veto their fathers decision and put mine in place.....so heads up, I'm watching. Worked every time.

    For Mother's Day, just don't get appliances, vacuums, ya know, stuff to do chores. Instead give her a break from everything she does everyday. Let her really relax, and know what SHE REALLY wants. I love going to dinner, and a gift card for a massage, her favorite skincare products or fragrances. I don't want a $70 bouquet of flowers. That's just me. 🙂

    I never felt humiliated by my dad, but rather felt humbled. When my fellow students saw him when he came to pick us up at school, I would get remarks like, " Is that your dad? He looks like a movie star! What happened to you?"

    Someone needs to remind Kelly that she is not interviewing herself, but her guest. She talks over them, interrupts, and doesn't allow them to complete a thought without asking something new, which of course they are then not allowed to fully answer. I am fan, I just think she perhaps needs some training on doing a good interview. It's harder than it looks, but a good foundation is learning to be...quiet when necessary. 🌻

    Not a stretch for Mr. Gaffigan to play a guy from the 1960’s-he looks like he stepped right out of that decade! He looks befuddled with the glasses and slow speech; but underneath he has to be really sharp to come up with the things he says!

      @USCTrojan2013 5 місяців тому

      @@donnasr1799well fair enough.. OP is accurate and over time EVERY school will start banning phones bc of this very reason. They’re too young . 21% of the HS Seniors who are graduating, ARE ILLITERATE. As a teacher, they come into my class NOT knowing A LOT. They have zero interest in books. If it’s not in video form, they ignore it. Why? BECAUSE THEY CANNOT READ IT.
      No child left behind has created it where NOBODY is responsible for anything. Kids graduate because their friends are and have little knowledge regarding the English language. It doesn’t matter if they fail a class, it just lowers the gpa. That is it. So you get what you get.. Kids on TikTok bc reading is at best minimal.. if there IS reading?? Swipe to the next video. 40 Million Americans out of 340M overall are illiterate.. I don’t wonder why.
