The only thing i see that you missed is when Crane gives Camden the tissue samples he also shows the doctor a picture of Amir, the man who saved Cranes life with Jade after the ambush at the beginning. The doctor confirms Amir was the other GRE agent sent into Harran. This explains why he was so close by when Crane landed since he was also working for the GRE he would've known when and where Crane was going to land and was waiting to help him to a safe place and fill him in on whats happening. This also explains why Amir would risk his own life to help Crane escape with Jade because he knew Crane was a GRE operative meaning he not only had military training but would be the only lifeline to the outside world and would be able to help more than others in the city.

It wouldve been immensely cool if he like Blade would do good things in the day and in the night lock himself up so his worse side couldnt take over and wreak havoc on the remaining humans, too bad this is not gonna happen as Harran I think would be a distant memory in the new game's timeline, it may be referenced here n there but not to the extent we wouldve liked.

SPOILER WARNING: Im pretty sure the 'bad ending' (crane becoming a Z) is cannon due to him getting out of the Quarentine as he was infected. I mean, how else can the infection be spread if the whole city had been quarentined? Tho it MAY be possible for those who were rescued from Quarentine (seen by the news during sector zero) that it could happened aswell but I dont think normal zombies can infect the other places since the soldiers know what they are like. UNLESS It is a volatile like one, such as Crane in the bad ending of The following. But thats just a theory... A ZOMBIE THEORY Excuse me if I missed something in the video.
@@VoltiXHD2 I mean it CAN be also because the comic's events as the guy in the vid said: Techland didnt really said which is the reason the infection spread outside the harran and which ending is the cannon
@@tnt8522 You are right in the sense that the super zombie was needed to be a super spreader for the virus to spread easily to places other than Harran but as you said there are a million other possibilities where this can happen. First off if u look at the closing shots of the bad ending its evident that how easy it was for Crane to go to the "other side", like those underground sewers connected easily to the rest of the country/region, so its quite possible some other zombies escaped to other regions through such hidden tunnels/passageways. Secondly and more likely, as the military and other organizations of the world are interested in the virus and also have clearance to access the city, its very likely they brought in some specimens for research purposes and from their facilities more mutated strains of the virus escaped, this is already evident from the Banshee storyline that we got just recently.
Wife and I, started with playing the original publisher 'Deep Silver"s" game Dead Island before they split apart, and TechLand created Dying Light. "Oooo bigger map, but you will just drive through most of it." found it boring Can't wait until tomorrow for DL2, looks like it is back to the City style of gaming.
they need to add like a night hunter kyle crane into dying light 2. In the dlc the following crane becomes a zombie with the vial ending. Kyle didnt want to hurt the mother and daugter when he came out the sewers in that respective ending. so he could have control over his bloodlust and not attack aiden in dying light 2.
one of the key reasons i enjoyed the first dying light, was the hopeful ending. that "The Following DLC" proceded to ruin. All these stories end horribly. I really hope DL2 Has a hopeful ending.

If you're on the fence about dying light, I'd say pick it up if parkour zombie survival sounds interesting to you, it's certainly a fun game but the second one comes out in less than a month and I reckon you don't have to play the first to enjoy the second. It's only optional if you're interested.
@@Jpik72 thank you sm for your encouragement!! I’ve played the last of us games before and I really really enjoyed those and was looking out for a similar game. After watching the video I’m definitely interested in buying the game and will probably do it in bulk with no. 1&2. I want to experience it all!!
This is one of the most uplifting comments I’ve ever read and really makes me feel like the work is worth it. I’m very happy it helped out!
just curious, why are u talked down for being a gamer girl? esp in 2022?
@@CovertPhilosopher cause *SOME*, not all but some, guys think that I’m just a poser and a pick me for wanting to game. I assume it’s because they can’t comprehend the fact that women can have interests for themselves rather than only playing games to impress guys. Plus, I don’t like doing the uwu voice, there’s nothing wrong with it!! You did you, I just can’t do it well so I dont. There are other reasons as well but if I say it might get interpreted into “man-hating” when I’m merely listing off my past experiences. But yeah 🙃
Story summary from suggestive gaming. The New year starting greatly!!!
Thank you for the awesome recap!
So many memories from this game 🖤🖤
You know hearing the story in this format makes me realize that the DL1 story is actually really good! What's with everyone saying it sucks? Lol!
Thank you for this! I needed this recap lol. I'm now pumped for Friday when the game comes out!
I’m planning on asking my parents for the sequel one day, so excited
I wish dying light would have a like an Easter egg connecting it to the Mercer virus in prototype
They need to remaster that game 1 and 2
@@lostforever773 yes
Highly recommend whitelights videos on a theoretical prototype 3 if you’re a fan
I never knew there was something before dying light. That was interesting. Can’t wait for this next game to come out
This was really well explained. Thanks alot for the time and effort you put into this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@SuggestiveGaming looking forward to more awesome ones in the future!
Thank you so much for this vid my dude, I had no clue about the story but DL2 looked so good, this was perfect!
People say the story in DL1 is bad but damn never have I ever connected with the characters as much as I did in DL1 and fully experienced the drama of Kyle and Jade and their attempts to save the innocent, people who just want to have a normal life...
That was so precise I can't wait to see what you have for dying light 2
Great recap!! DL has been in my Steam library for a long time. Seeing the DL 2 trailer, I finally decided to play DL 1. I was afraid it would be just a lot of parkour and just killing zombies, but I was pleasantly surprised by the story.
The one thing I don't get though is, how would this one stationary warhead destroy all of Harran and the country side?? LoL So, Kyle refusing the mother and turning is MY canon ending! 👍😂
Love your content, always want to see more 🧡
I didn't know there was story before and after the 1st dying light but now I know. Thanks.
of course there is, most games have a story before the main events its called lore
Im so ready for DL 2 i love the first one I got like 200 hours played dude I loved this video Thank you 💙🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dying Light is an incredible game. Unfortunately lol, the way you describe the plot makes it sound better than it is. The writing is a little iffy and some of the acting is kinda bad but man, the way you summarized it made me wanna play through it again haha. It’s still an incredible game regardless of it’s mediocre story. And The Following? One of, if not the best expansions to a game I’ve ever played. So excited for Dying Light 2. Less than a month to go, let’s go!
the story is fantastic, just the narrative kinda sucked in dl1
I just got dying light 2 and I've no idea what is going on so this helped a lot
you included the book!
very well done, i read the book and i saw that many people didn't even know about it, so im really glad you guys brought this in
So glad to have a day off on February 4th. Cant wait to play the hell out of dl2
An our ago I was thinking someone should make a video like this and here we are
I love dying light so much the franchise is perfect
I like the behind the scene part that happened right before the events of the fist Dying Light, that was interesting.
Man, I crying here for this never before detailed follow for the story. I'm so attached to this game like you can never imagine
SPOILER WARNING:
Im pretty sure the 'bad ending' (crane becoming a Z) is cannon due to him getting out of the Quarentine as he was infected.
A ZOMBIE THEORY
Excuse me if I missed something in the video.
It is. No need to explain lol
Crane becoming a sentient zombie is canon, I like to think that maybe he founded his own civilization with zombies like him
According to techland both are canon
Wait so crane is still alive although he has turned? He has control of his mind during the day, but not a night. I hope we see him in DL2!!
These are my favorite games
Wife and I, started with playing the original publisher 'Deep Silver"s" game Dead Island before they split apart, and TechLand created Dying Light.
We love the game and still just back in or restart everyone in a while.
We never got in to the Following, something about having to drive so much turned us off. "Oooo bigger map, but you will just drive through most of it." found it boring
Can't wait until tomorrow for DL2, looks like it is back to the City style of gaming.
Wish we saw the beginning cause it sounds like either an amazing show, movie, game, cartoon or something.
It’s a book
Ive had 400 hours spent playing this game and it was only just at this moment that I saw Karim’s ponytail. We now have the same hairstyle
Some stuff in here I didn't know. Amazing job documenting this. Just 2 more days!
Dr.Zera is the best character Ngl
I just bought a 3080 ti and I cant wait to play DL2 max settings 4k
I love this game . I am waiting for Dying light 2
The TV Commercial for DyingLight2 has Me Curious to ThePurpleLights & GreenLightWristBands Seen in TheAd.
(I've Never Played TheGames.)
Dying light is a great game if you don't have it I recommend it
Great work with the story! A big fan of the Dying Light series; can't wait to get my hands on Dying Light 2! Cheers!
Damn.. Whoever wrote the story must be a genius writer
they need to add like a night hunter kyle crane into dying light 2.
I really hope DL2 Has a hopeful ending.
the banshee got the cure, it might actually happen now (then again there's like 2 cities of people left in the world or some shit in dl2)
I like bad endings but not really bad endings
Dying light 2 is coming out tomorrow and I am super hyped for it
So crane can still be himself during the day? I didn’t know this
That was a lovely recap/update for the comic, thanks a lot
Was looking for a vid like this ty
I, the number 1 dying light fan, already knew the story. I just watched to video to make sure YOU knew it.
Loved the video and how deep you got keep it up
Arthur? On a zombie video oh no oh no no no no
I was completely unaware of the early nuke ending in The Following. I only knew about the two endgame endings.
Thank you man this is one of my new favorite games and I just played and finish dying light 2👍
i love how he casually kicked it's nuts at 20:20 💀
You should do the story line for Dying light 2
The ending where crane becomes a sentient volatile/night hunter was confirmed to be canon
Thanks need this for the new game!
I feel like you should have mentioned a few things such as the saviours backstabbing crane and ofc gazzy
You can steal the rais airdrop if you dont Go to the doctor abd back of the tower you can. Find a house wirh a sign saying "food and wont be needing these anymore when entered you can find a gun and deadman pick the gun up if your accurate and get headshots ypu can open a package inside will be diy grenades and pistol ammo that's only what i found tho
It would be cool if Crane is still alive and living as a volatile in Dying Light 2
Thanks, just in time for the sequel.
Thanks!
with just the main character turning into a super zombie a like
and got outside from the quarantine area we got dying light 2! :D
playing dying light 2 currently and have never played the first game, this helped me a lot! (DL2 is really fun so far, 9/10 would recommend it :D)
Nice cope on DL2, lol. Such a shit game and thoroughly disappointing "sequel" that may as well take place in an entirely different universe
@@Nyx_2142 i really dont care brother i liked it and you can have your opinion
