I like the whole modern warfare series, but Cod 4 will always have the best campaign. To me, it seems like one of the last Call of Duty's to stay a little grounded in reality with its campaign, and not an over-the-top crazy story that makes you feel like a super soldier. Cod 4's campaign is a lot more simple; A conflict in the middle east and a civil war going on and Russia. Sure the nukes and stuff are a bit crazy but not as crazy as a nuke exploding right above Washington D.C. The missions are more simple as well. Take out enemies, grab some documents, destroy a vehicle, find a person, etc. Also, the entire campaign takes place in 2 settings if you exclude the cargo ship mission. However, in MW2 and MW3 you get these crazy missions and you are fighting on a different side of the world every other mission. One moment you're in South America fighting some dude then the next moment you're defending Burger King from the Russians, then you get in a juggernaut suit and you're mowing down security guards. It is cool cinematically and fun, but it's just almost too nuts to understand what is going on or even make it believable. Cod 4 just has a much more simple tone to the game that will always make it number 1 in my opinion.
Price and McMillan take out hundreds of soldiers and 2 helicopters with 2 snipers way behind enemy lines. dont act like cod4 didn't also make your character a "super soilder"
I liked infinite warfare, but i gotta ask, which dunderhead in the UNSA decided it would be a good idea to have EVERY SINGLE ship in their fleet in one place? like, a couple of them there for the celebration is one thing but all of them? thats just asking for, well, exactly what happened in the game.
This was a great summary. The only real plot hole imo is when the Russians set off bombs all over Europe in MW3 and proceed to invade. Russia didn't have any motive to attack Western Europe, maybe besides Cold War history and also Makarov didn't have any official authority over the Russian military. Not to mention that Russia does not have the capacity to invade both USA and Europe. Otherwise this saga is awesome and better than most movie scripts.
I only played COD4, MW2 & MW3 I loved the introduction of Yuri and his timeline where we found out he was a part of makarov the whole time that cpt price was

Haha i remember when i first played loose ends my brother who already beat the game told me to play it on a harder difficulty so when I finally beat the mission I was so happy until I saw the ending.

A very cool piece of trivia regarding the Down The Rabbit Hole mission, Frost wasn't there with the Metal Team that time as shown in the Spec Ops mission where the player controls a character designated as Metal 0-4 (which is Frost's designation) with a separate task of initiating the self-destruct sequence on the mines. The demise of Metal Team was because of Frost's actions. Don't know if it's canon, but I think it makes a pretty cool headcanon as to why Frost isn't there with them.

Price and McMillan take out hundreds of soldiers and 2 helicopters with 2 snipers way behind enemy lines. dont act like cod4 didn't also make your character a "super soilder"
I don’t think you realize how important burger was in stopping world war three
Thank you for including The DS games many people right them off because they’re on the DS
I finally found a video that explained it in a way I could understand
the best video game trilogy ever. COD 4 & MW2 are my favourite MWs
MW2 has probably has the best ending to a call of duty
MW3 is so underratted
Agreed. MW2 campaign is sooooo good. Still has the best ending. I didn’t like MW3 multiplayer.
I liked infinite warfare, but i gotta ask, which dunderhead in the UNSA decided it would be a good idea to have EVERY SINGLE ship in their fleet in one place? like, a couple of them there for the celebration is one thing but all of them? thats just asking for, well, exactly what happened in the game.
loved this video man keep up the amazing work!
I wish China got involved and maybe North Korea without them sending nukes everywhere but I guess it would be too "controversial"
Dude I'm liking this video just for the amount of work you put in just to make this video
Seein the old DS gameplay brings back great memories from when I was a kid
Nice an update been waiting for it for a long time heheheh. Thank you Suggestive Gaming
Thank you so much man for this amazing recap. Thank you brother appreciate it.
I only played COD4, MW2 & MW3
I loved the introduction of Yuri and his timeline where we found out he was a part of makarov the whole time that cpt price was
Just as expected, this video is amazing.
I respect your patience with playing a fps game originally made for the DS
I know the story as I have played every single Modern Warfare Call of Duty except the remasters, but it's still nice to watch a video about the story, it's been more than a decade, and Ghost's and Roach's deaths are still super sad for me, ever since I first saw the scene.
Haha i remember when i first played loose ends my brother who already beat the game told me to play it on a harder difficulty so when I finally beat the mission I was so happy until I saw the ending.
31:29 In the top left of the wall with all of Makerovs allies, you can see a Kravchenko from the black ops series of Call of Duty games. Specifically, it's the young version of him seen in Victor reznovs flashback
Damn man, I love you for this video ❤️. Brought back so many memories of when I was a kid.
Question those little like arcade game footage in your video, where is that from exactly. Is that a DS game because I don’t remember the MW version like that or did they release another modern warfare game?
Great video man thank you for all the hard work really enjoyed this
I used to be so scared of a world war by the way they protrayed it in the original MW saga, of course i was a child but man was it good
Great video, keep being awesome!
I'm so glad that you even considered the DS games, not many people know they exist and even less that they could be part of the story.
You really did a great job explaining it all the way it’s crazy I started playing cod at 4 back in 2009 and now I’m 17 this video has nostalgia all over it thank you for bringing my childhood back 😢
Appreciate that
You definitely didnt play entire story modes at 4 years old 😂
@@vaniljam5176 could’ve had older brother I played each one and I’m 2006 just doesn’t mean I completed it same year

Is this black mesa? Where are the pixels?
One of the best gaming trilogies to exist
A very cool piece of trivia regarding the Down The Rabbit Hole mission, Frost wasn't there with the Metal Team that time as shown in the Spec Ops mission where the player controls a character designated as Metal 0-4 (which is Frost's designation) with a separate task of initiating the self-destruct sequence on the mines. The demise of Metal Team was because of Frost's actions. Don't know if it's canon, but I think it makes a pretty cool headcanon as to why Frost isn't there with them.
I LOVED MW3. It was such a good game. Underrated
Yea still waiting for the remaster
MW: best campaign 100/10
MW2: best multiplayer 100/10
MW3: best spec ops 100/10
All of those games hit home man
man ghost back story was good thanks bro
I’m 19 being 5 when mw2 came out. I still managed to play it as it was still relatively new when I started gaming when bo1 came out and being my first cod release experience. First cod was cod 3 on a ps2 and got a 360 for Christmas and the rest is history. I’ve played every single cod at release to this day! Albeit the old days were better than now and I was lucky to be able to experience prime Black ops 1/2 and mw trilogy
god damn captain price has lived one hell of a life
Thanks for explaining the whole COD story from 1 to 3,I usually just played for fun. Thanks for your recapp explanation 👍 really helpful😊
OMG THAT DS FOOTAGE HIT ME WITH SO MUCH NOSTALGA
"I bet you're wondering why I wear these bones on my face. It's a tribute to an old friend of mine. He's dead now, but man if he wasn't the baddest motherfucker on the planet.
Riley was his name. Simon Riley."
If you guys are wondering about the DS version/bad graphics/2007 read the desc
I finished my MW Trilogy(original) today as I started last week, I've been very immersive towards the storyline since I've been wanting to play it for quite a long time since my childhood but I couldn't afford to. I'm glad that managed to play it finally.
Love how infinite warfare is included, makes the timeline so much cooler knowing how it goes into the future.
I dont understand? The new modern warfare (2019) has all the characters like gaz ghost etc. Werent they dead? Sorry if my English is bad
@@osize8893 modern warfare 2019 is a soft reboot to the story. so it's a retelling basically of it in a different but similar way.
@@jamesk5541 I wouldn't even say it's a retelling. It's a very different story
@@jamesk5541 it isn’t a soft reboot it’s a full reboot and only the characters and 1 event is the same (that being the all ghillied up mission)
except they dont connect and is basically the black ops 3 equivalent to the modern warfare saga
Such a masterpiece. Thank you for this beautiful summary of the Original MW series
Here's a fun fact for everyone Nora Salter from Infinite Warfare voices MP character Roze from MW2019
That's awesome, Roze is my favorite Operator and I really liked Salter in IW.
brought a used PS4 Slim back in November, my first gaming console and glad to start my journey with the COD MW Remastered (2007), already completed it and looking forward to buy the MW2 (2009) remastered 🔥
Bioshock timeline??
You missed the perfect opportunity to say "Price was impressed with Soaps performance, but not his nickname"
keep up the good work with the content! I would like to suggest a few timelines that would be interesting
1. Assassins Creed
2. Wolfenstein
I think both of these franchises would be really interesting to go over, especially Assassins creed
I love the content bro your amazing my dude 💯💯💯🙏🏼. Nostalgia is real
Very helpful and entertaining! I was about 20% into MW3 and couldn't remember what was going on (because it had been a while).
That DS game is my childhood, oh boy. Very intrigued to see how it ties up into the mainline MW games after all these years.
I would love for the ds mission to be converted into HD mission meaning in Home consoles graphics.
This vid was really helpful for me, thanks! For some reason I have a hard time following the storylines while playing games.
Something I was always confused by is how in MW3 the Russia military continues to attack western Europe even though their president was taken captive by Makarov. At that point did the military just swear alliance to Makarov?
What would have happened after the events of mw3. Makorov is dead price survives but is more likely a wanted man. I always wanted to know hypothetically if the series continued after the trilogy.
Do you think think will make another modern warfare 3 2025/26 ? I didn’t know ghost had this much back story crazy.
if mw2 does well ofc. they arent trying to sacrifice too much story. theyre taking their time to make more future games
@@KevinTheChungyou were saying
@@TRG_R17 i was partially right 😅. they’re obviously planning on more modern warfare games in the future but damn mw3 was a letdown
Ghost’s story is so interesting, just makes him my favorite character even more. So unique
this was truly an awesome video, i dont understand why it has so few likes but anyway really good work:)
We went from literally detonating nukes to doing open combat missions where we just kill a few guys..
Wait so Gaz was suppose to die in Modern warfare 2019 campaign reboot? Uh oh
There's no way you not notice that.
Best COD trilogy infinity Ward and Sledgehammer ever made.
ramierez did indeed protect the burger town
RAMIEREZ!!!!
Ah yes, James Ramierez, one of the best character in OG MW2
Bro the General Shepard betrayal got me so good when I first played COD 2 this years ago
My uncle was a marine force recon. It's great they were in modern warfare
Yooo it took me a minute but I like the recreations of original scenes
Man I did not realize how sad the games were. I didn’t know pretty much all of them died
Yup, and that's what makes them great. They make you care about all these characters then bam!
@@bombomos Thats what make the new one is bland !
5:27 where does this 'PS1' looking footage come from? Is this you doing clever editing? Or did someone port this to an older system?
See the pinned comment. It’s the DS version of MW, I just slipped up on the on-screen titles
