London is under attack in the new Watch Dogs Legion, and it's up to DedSec to keep it free! But... how did we get here? Let's take a step back through all (or at least most) of the released Watch Dogs media thus far to catch up on the history of Aiden Pearce, Marcus Holloway, as well as the many other heroes of the digital era we've met thus far.

It should also be noted that the 2003 Blackout caused by T-Bone was the famous 2003 New York City Blackout.
I liked the dark tone of the first Watch dogs game, it was one of the first video games I ever played and it has a special place in my heart. Watching it now brings nostalgic tears to my eyes
I agree, I thought the first game was quite believable. And Aiden, everyone claims he has no emotion or personality, but I actually thought he was really deep. And he could be surprisingly funny at times. (My favorite moment being the 'practice run' with the pop sickle truck.) I mean, the guy is literally on a Batman-style vengeance quest, he's not going to be all lighthearted comedy. Despite the fact that the second and third game have arguably bigger stakes, the first game just feels more important to me, because it's personal.
I love Aiden, he was kinda inspired by Batman & is kinda John Wick style, but before John Wick even existed.
Badass, but believable.
I dont like aiden Pearce because his story is too sad and dark,I prefer watch dogs 2,its a comedy,and it’s dark(sometimes)

Man the history in Watch Dogs is deep, I wish the games were just as much deep. With more content and story. Maybe less aimless jobs and more character impacting thriller moments. Legion kinda came off lacking compared to its predecessors when it came down to me caring about my guys.
Maybe if they didn't kill off the guy who could defuse a bomb and hack and seemingly kicked off the game at the start. RIP mate you were and are an S class operative.

@@dylanmellor706 That and maybe if at least some characters in Legion had a backstory that you could engage with during the game, a way to introduce key characters, give an explanation on how they got here and maybe play apart in it, and seperate the anyone can be a hero to the characters who are living legends like Aidan (Aiden) Pierce and Marcus or Wrench from the prior games. Because you would know they are some of the best, a gold standard or something.
Though that would probably be turned into a pay to win dlc or late update sadly.
I really just want more cool characters with story, not disposable tools for in game progression.

I still havent finished Legion yet, but Watch dogs 1 still has the best story.
Imo the games aren't comparable, you don't go there for the same reasons. You go to wd1 for the story, wd2 for the fun, and idk why you go to wd3 cause I haven't played it yet

Fun Fact, in Watch Dogs 2, there’s a easter egg where you can rescue Aiden Pearce. Not sure if someone in the comments already mentioned this, but I thought it would be a nice touch.

i love watch dogs one, the storyline and the characters and Aiden himself, i mean cmon man Aiden hacked into the freaking super computer network facility, which controls nearly the entire city network, you gotta give this man props, not many can pull this off

I’ve binged watched the first watch dogs from someone to understand it, and seeing how long the second one is, I decided to watch this video and even understood things I didn’t understand in the let’s play. Now it all makes sense, so thank you, now I can play Watch Dogs Legion knowing the backstory

He’s just like different Marcus is a funny but mainly hacker while aiden isn’t a great hacker he’s just great at socially manipulative

Watch Dogs 1 = Best Story
Watch Dogs 2= Best map and gameplay
Watch Dogs Legion = Not Bad Story,nice gamplay
But my fav Watch Dogs is...

I don’t think it was over hated, per se. I think a lot of folks were just upset with how they presented the initial demo vs what the game actually wound up being
@@SuggestiveGaming Yeah but when people only focused on the graphics they didn't give the game a fair chance it deserved sometimes even not buying the game just because of what other people said and when you get down to it , yes the story is generic but it's good and Aiden is a good protagonist the gameplay is good as well
Not just the graphics. That initial demo was very particularly designed to make the game look way more open-ended than it was

Watch dogs was so perfect for its release like everything in that gamr is something we have seen before it makes the game for understandable and easier to play.

I love watch dogs I feel in love with this game in 2014 when the first game came out this series is funny asf and I just love the story even though 2 was more of a joke and the game lurked with little flaws but I loved it too! Beating the game many times now we are at legion im about to buy it but I'm just skeptical and please suggestive gaming please make more videos about what you need to know on more new games cause I like this series so keep it up!

Wow they are literally telling the entire story of watch dogs... I already knew everything because this is my most favorite game franchise but it’s good to be re-educated
It's sad that the Watch Dogs franchise slowly drifts away from it's original dark badass tone. The first Watch Dogs was the only lore I liked. Aiden was a frankly professional man but now he's gone.
Even if the story has plots, Watch Dogs 1 remains one of THE best-made Ubisoft games I have ever played, especially for the time it came out.

Here I am doing all of this research on this game cuz I haven't heard much about it. I've seen the game title mentioned many times, but for some reason always get it confused with Sleeping Dogs lol. I am so interested in the game at this point I'm gonna keep an eye out on getting it!

Just got wd3 for Christmas and mam currently playing it
Got wd1 again on the same day and finally finished the final mission. I couldn't remember anything except the very beginning and ray since he shows up in wd2

I was a huge fan of watch dogs when it first came out and I still am. Aiden is a more interesting batman, jordi serves as comedic value in a story extremely dark, clara is a form of friendly character who would do whatever is needed to help a friend, lucky quinn is a psychotic villain who is dying of old age, t-bone is the smartest and strongest person in the cast, iraq is a gangbanger who kills just because he is mad, bedbug is the product of iraq's craziness, blume is a hydra kinda company that serves as a threat to Aiden and tbone, and Nicole is a family member of Aiden's who cares for him.
Nowhere near batman but ok
If Ubisoft makes another Watch Dogs they need to bring back Raymond Kenny cuz he was such an interesting and awesome character and I would love to learn more about the character as it is cuz there's so much about him that we don't know
