I do love how the motivation of every final boss of this series can be boiled down to "Dude, please do NOT inject yourself with that. It will make you into a literal "ooga-booga" monster" "BUT DUDE LOOK AT THESE GAINS? I DONT EVEN HAVE TO HIT THE GYM ONCE!"

Escape Dead Island’s story is a complete fever dream.
FYI the reverse trailer for Dead Island remains to this day one of the greatest of all time
Dead Island Epidemic was actually a really good CO-OP Early Access game, such a massive shame it was shut down, it's still in my library too
loved it too my favorite char was the mutated xenomorph looking one, shame its just gone

Though i find it strange they deflated him slightly.

I know that there's a lot of hype for other members of the original player cast to return, but I want to know something else: what happened to Charon and Yerema after they were taken away by Serpo? Neither of them are seen or mentioned again and part of me believes that either they were exfilled somewhere else before the ship go infected or when Serpo was abandoning the ship. Who knows, maybe a dlc or items found in the game would shed some light on what happened to them.
Didnt they all die and turn on a abandoned ship?
They werent truly immune, the virus just acted slower for them. They turned into zombies like everybody else
@@youtubestudiosucks978 You don't see them die nor do you hear of them after the ship. They were just kinda forgotten about after the prologue of riptide. No mention of either in dead island 2 as far as I know as well.
It almost feels like a dream now that dead island 2 is confirmed I remember all the hype back when the first one had came out and the news of a second had been announced just for it not to come out over 10 years later just can’t process it
it’s really cool to know that theradbrad probably brought most of us here, my brother and i included! i couldn’t have been more than 10 or 11 begging my dad to get us the game on playstation 3. now i’m 20!
Me and my brothers would play DEAD ISLAND for hours and we would blast who do you voodoo while killing zombies and when they remastered it we did it again and it brought back so many good memories
I wish more people played the Ryder white campaign. Because without it, the story you know isn’t the story. It completely flips it on its head and I love it. The DLC isn’t fantastic, but it’s so short that everyone should have played it. Idk why everyone who loved the game never popped into that dlc, especially when they played the definitive edition that included it free…

I think it's because it's hidden and not mentioned. You need to keep scrolling to see it. It's the only reason I saw it.
@@terraseamccants8558 yeah that’s true. I played it originally because I had to buy it separately. But when it’s included people probably miss it. But man, without doing that DLC the story you get is so incorrect! And that’s why I love the DLC so much. And when people say the story was terrible I just can’t agree, just simply because of the insane plot twist.

My brother and I started playing Dead Island Riptide in anticipation of the new Dead Island 2.. Such a nostalgia trip tbh 💯
As an Aussie, I love always being John the ADF soldier just punching everything out of my way 💪🏼🤜🏼👊🏼 and all the Aus accents are so thick that I still hang off every vocal exchange, such a great franchise 💯🫡🌹

Dead Island 2 is one of those games I’m scared to play bc I don’t want to not love it and ruin the story for the first one. DI1 had that feeling that classic games from the 2000’s and 10’s seemed to have. Unmatched.
Just play it so u can knock off some jaws and squash some eyeballs there is no other game like it

Idk where all the sudden hate for Dead Island 1 came from everyone just started hating for some reason. I remember the game fondly and remember thinking the game was absolutely amazing. I mean sure it wasn't as good as Dying Light was but it was still a great game it doesn't deserve the hate everyone is suddenly giving it and Dead Island 2 so far has been amazing as well
That happens with all techland games, dying light 1 tons of hate for over-promising, dying light 2 had tons of hate for over-promising, dead island had hate for "lackluster" combat, same things happened with dead island 2 as well. For some reason people just have a biase to hating techlands stuff in general and for some unknown reason they almost never look at the good stuff each game does, it's always what they didn't do.
@kiopsm8825 I haven't seen any hate for Dead Island 2 yet besides ppl saying that the ending to the story felt to sudden and I still see more ppl praising Dying Light 1 than hating it. But I do see nothing but hate for Dying Light 2 with good reason they promised a lot of stuff for that game that isn't there like the big world changes based on your choices

@@skyvolt2566 the dying light hate was there for the release, they over-promised a *lot,* proximity chat was supposed to be a thing, ‘amazing story ’ they said, multiple characters and story choices, and of course there were bugs, like, a fuck ton of bugs. As of recently I haven't heard any hate for DL1 probably because people just stopped mentioning those false promises. And for DI2 most of the hate I've seen are people calling it a shit game and then saying the combat is bad.
@kiopsm8825 Personally I thought the story for DL1 was great despite it being your basically everyday zombie story. And I thought DL2 story was amazing it was a very heartfelt and heartbreaking story it made me feel like the stakes were high and everything for me it was just the night time didn't feel as scary as DL1 night time I felt literally no risk going out especially with UV lights being around ever corner. But ppl may be saying Dead Island 2s combat feels bad bc it's literally the same combat system as the 1st game which I see nothing bad about personally it feels great to me especially when I bash a zombies face and their skin comes off and you see nothing but their skull left

Yes finally now I can understand the story of dead island thank you but I surprised that escaped dead island is a part of this I thought it was a spin-off
I mean, it is and isn't canon, because (like the game said) is up to you to believe what is true and not when playing a character that experiences constant halucinations in a zombie infected island. I believe that the prologue IS canon, otherwise, how would Cliff know other people's experiences without knowing them? It doesn't make sense.
I know is weird, but i get mad how they treat Kuru as an viral disease and not an prion disease, wich would made all of this impossible

Tho in the sequel they explained why the disease causes kuru, basically the virus was engineered to force the brain to have a kuru disease, i don't know how this would be possible, but makes more sense than it just being a prion

So is there a time-loop in Escape Dead Island or did I misunderstood stuff? or all of it are hallucinations and happened outside the Dead Island canon?
I don't understand it either when i played it. But i think the answer is he's traumatize about what happened to his friend and stuck in the timeloop of himself, remembering what happen again and again...

So since Sam B is in the new game does that mean that the survivors stayed human? Especially since I'm the new game he gets bitten multiple times and survives to say he's immune like when he was a playable character. He also mentions "this has happened twice before" and mentions Banoi at least once

I remeber buying and playing escape dead island and just being put off on all the hallucination crap and the combat. I think got to the part where you get the pistol and a little after but I just stopped playing. I might revisit it now, since I don’t have the expectation of a dead island follow up like I did last time

Can you please explain something to me ? There is no boat, but you can find some to navigate from one point to another like cars ? Am i missing something, how can't those boats be used to go to Henderson ?

I have to say, many of the zombies were such a paaaaiiinnnn. Sewer zombies, fast zombies, tank zombies, and basically all of them. The energy bar got me killed so many times it was just pain, good game though

The chainsaw is found in act 3 in the jungle protected by a human bandit named "Jason" (a refrence to jason vorhees) who was fast and strong enough to one shot me with full health

Thanks for this. I could never finish the original Dead Island as it became a slogfest for me. I was drawn in by the epic cinematic trailers and got quickly bored with the actual game.
