After installing the car kit you would be able to listen to your music player or iPhone through your factory stereo speakers and control your music through controls on the factory radio. You also can charge your iPod/iPhone. It also provide AUX output if your Solara does not have one.
You make taking out the a/c + clock piece look easy. Took me a cut thumb, numb fingers, slight trim damage, swearing, and 2 bottles of water to finally pull that sucker off but my god it was all worth it for the bluetooth+aux system. Thankfully that was the only part of difficulty. Now I'll just have to figure out what to do about that bit of trim.
you don't need to take the radio out, once you have the lower front console out you can reach up in behind the radio and plug it in, thats what I did.
I just bought a used 2006 Solara Conv, original radio was removed, and replaced by a Sony/CD/blue tooth radio. I would like to buy and install a stock Solara GPS/SAT radio. Do you know if that is possible?
Hey does this kit work if you have a 2005 Toyota Solara with a slightly different looking radio. My radio does not have TAPE PLAYER, nor does it have the SAT button. It basically is a AM and FM radio, plus CD Player. Will this kit still install the same and also function?
How does this kit work on the other stock Toyota head unit that comes with the 2004 Solara that only has a single disc player and no tape deck?

Just hooked mine up but I can only change tracks through my ipod and not on the stereo or wheel. I press those to go to the next song and the same song continues to play and it only resets the song length time for whatever reason. I tried to change disk modes as well but it just stays on disk 4 track 8. I pressed every button on the stereo. It will not change modes or will not go to the next song. Can anyone identify this problem?

Anyone know how to fix the pocket where the volt and aux is(2007 model)? Mine broke and won't close properly and have to manually open it.
I can't replace anything because the dash is so cracked it would just fall apart. Great video though, thank you.

I thought you would take in the radio out so that you could put in the GPS and The back-up camera and a new radio I would rather do that

Can you use a Samsung Android the same way as the IPhone threw the stock radio?
Yes you can use Android phone through AUX, or if you get the Bluetooth kit, you can use Android through bluetooth connection. Thank you

Can you get one that charges other phones besides the iphone? I have a galaxy or does it not matter?
