The Rolex marketing team has to be the best in the world. I can't think of another brand to have maintained market dominance for such a sustained period of time. It's honestly phenomenal. Say what you like about Rolex products, but the branding and the marketing thereof is the best there has ever been.
No matter how good your marketing team is, you can not dominate with an average or above average product. The product has to be of excellent quality and ergonomics. It has to be a multifaceted approach to reach this level of dominance.
@@omarion07 In my experience as a product designer/engineer, you can have the greatest product in the world but if the way you engage your customer is lacking then it really doesn't matter how great the product is. I agree with you that both product and consumer engagement are important, but I think it's the latter that has kept Rolex at the top. I think the same can be said for the likes of all the great brands... Coca-Cola, Apple, Microsoft, Nike etc. Emotional attachment and messaging are always key to a brand and is why we love our favorite watches. It's not really about the watch itself, it's the story of the watch and the journey it goes on with you. Without that story, it's just another DateJust.
Well said, the thing about Rolex is, their product lives up to their marketing. Im sure that's one of the reasons why they are able to maintain dominance in the market for so long.
These are so good! Manjos's enthusiasm, and Tim saying: "sometimes, a bird on the wrist is better than two on Chrono 24", are classic. These guys love geeking out about Rolex. And I can totally understand.
Great show. I really appreciate when you guys detail the specificity that Rolex puts into their time pieces. They can go both mass-produced and small batch, small quantity watches. What an amazing brand!
Bravo gents. These shows keep me glued to the tube. Mike said it best, just wear it and enjoy.
Mike and Tim are a great team! Can’t imagine being more entertained hearing about watches. Thank you!
Great episode. WatchBox almost always literally has the watch on-hand to show us. Wish I was a high-wealth individual lol
This was such a fun upbeat episode and I loved the conversations! Keep killing it!
The two tone Daytona wıth the blue racing dial for me is one of the best looking Rolexes ever. One day it's going to get found out by the public I'm sure.
Rolex still atop the mountain after all this time
Great episode 👏
17:25 unfortunately you were correct, Tim

Titanium and rose gold would be awesome to see.
you guys are super charismatic ! the older gentleman is so down to earth and so humble .. they dont make them like that anymore... what do you guys think of lange and lang price incrase friedriech 3 going from 22 to 32 and 1815 chrono from 51 to 67 ?
Excellent! Watching this with a TT Daytona on a black rubber strap. Just gorgeous.....
Great show! Thank you.
Rolex is one of my least favorite brands, but this was a thrill to watch! It's always fun seeing knowledgeable and passionate people have an involved conversation about what they love.
Love your shows about Rolex.
Midas 👑
Best brand in the world
Nice job guys....
Excellent!
someone please expalin why the yellow gold green and white gold blue have different case shapes
Hi Tim, What watch are you wearing?
Tim, will the vs. series be back?
Yes. Aside from the impromptu comparisons I shoot now, the old "Versus" with high production values will return alongside a series of extended-impression videos where I talk about the experience of wearing a watch for a few days on end.
Best,
Tim
“Rolenium”
I like this one.
Best,
Tim
I’m really not a fan of Rolex watches in general due to their uninspired, slightly bland design, but many of them are cool like that. I’d love to see an explorer with a steel case, white gold bezel and white gold midlinks, with the explorer text on the dial in green. Understated, weighty and unique.
o_O
No day-date???
The DD will always be king!
Hey!!! Mike is wearing a… wait…. Never mind…😂
lol it doesn't get more yuppy than T-mosso...
Precious metal bracelets stretch too easily.
Rolex is phasing in ceramic bracelet pins to address this. In my experience, that solution works.
Best,
Tim
