I think this is the most beautiful watch I’ve ever seen, absolutely gorgeous!
You make my long nights so much better. I have been silently watching your videos for over a year and your warm voice and warmer personality makes things much easier to bear. Thank you for sharing your time with us.
Thank you 🙏
I just watched this again and ditto my previous comment by saying AMEN to your wonderful comments at the end. I love your wonderful sense of playfulness but the serious part at the end gripped my heart and made a difference in my day.
Thank you john
God forbid that we ever let this art or craft die. The pursuit of perfection is what we should strive for even in this smallest things of excellence should not slip through our fingers when it comes to the little things in life.
Booooom, you just made my Monday so much better. 40 minutes of absolute Gold!
I told my wife just tonight there are a very few that when a new video comes out it is must watch for me... NW is 1 of 4!
Right! I'm sure I could take a thing like this watch apart. NFW I'd ever get it back together. The pleasure of watching this incredibly talented man deconstruct and reconstruct better than when he started. Brings joy and hope this jaded corporate hack's cold worn heart.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Joe is an Oasis in a sea of chaos.
I see what you did there Lol.
It's Friday, you fool.
Probably the nicest looking model you've done yet. The proportions and shapes are perfect. And it's nice on the inside too.
It's a gorgeous movement with the minimalist clean IWC dial and case. Go away Rolex.
gorgeous on the inside too
@@mike-cl7pb ... may I second that?
I am always amazed at the detailing on the inside of a watch like this. The only people that will typically see this craftsmanship are the manufacturers and the restorers. It’s like they are having their own little communication among each group.
I have to agree. And here I sit fascinated by the disassembly that I could never do myself
surprised they don't inscribe little messages for the next chap to crack the case - maybe microscopic with a laser etcher. haha
@@nvbo60 Aye matey, hands are too shakey at my age and bad health
@@barking.dog.productions1777 The watchmakers/repairers do mark the watch every time they crack them and repair, or it used to be that way.
I have no knowledge of this movement, but what I do know is after a stressful day at work watching your videos calms me down. You’re a magician with your craft at watch repair. Love your channel.
Yup this is such a relaxing past time
Well well. Was talking about you earlier. Hope you are all well my friend
No wonder my ears were burning earlier. Hope you enjoy this one brother
@@NekkidWatchmaker I'll take you to bed later for 40 minutes of unadulterated pleasure. Terrified?? 🤣
“It’s only stuff” This is what I have to tell myself about so many beautiful watches… excellent work my friend!
Thanks jay
@@NekkidWatchmaker your work is amazing,.. can't wait to see your next project
Ah, but so many watches become more than just stuff. I have an Edox Kingstar from 1968 which I bought when an apprentice. I have a Keora watch that was my dad's back in the fifties. I have a Tissot my wife bought me from a garage sale that is engraved on the back dating it to 1977. Would be just stuff to others, but certainly not to me. It is attachments like this that makes the work of Nekkid so important
By far my favourite UA-cam channel. It can’t be easy making these videos whilst manipulating such minute components. Superb content, beautiful watches and truly amazing skills. Thank you for posting!
@@smallcnclathes well said sir. Having money to buy nice things is ok. But having people who love you (and you love them) is truly beautiful. I don't need to tell but keep them bits of memory safe and pass them on to someone you love.
Much love and Respect to you sir from the UK.
“We never got our deposit back.” It’s tongue and cheek humor I can relate to. Well done on the restoration. Cheers.
IWC has recently become I would consider to be my future grail watch, what a magnificently, beautiful timepiece.
Just in awe when I watch your talents..my blood pressure lowers 20 points, and wonderful memories flood my brain, recalling the times my dad would tell me about his work as a tool and die maker prior to computer machine setups. Watching you work is truly a joy. Thanks
Well said...it's always such an awesome tranquilness at the end, which watch makers used teat drop lugs today, they are one of my most, most favorite watch style characteristics!:]
I can’t get used to these shows of craftsmanship of yours. Every time I learn something new. The lesson this time was mainly “be patient”. I guess this is the secret of making a simple job become a work of art. I was especially impressed by the care and time put in recovering the hands. Last but not least, thank you for your words of peace, wisdom and encouragement. These are special times, we all need them.
Amazing how you transform ugly ducklings into beautiful swans can't get enough of your energy its mesmerising thankyou
Thank you
“It’s only stuff.”
That just made me feel better about some past mistakes
I've said it before on other items you've shown, but the prep and bluing process was very very next-level, sir!
This watch is stunning. I've never wanted a gold watch before, but I'm drawn to this. Great work!
While I have no interest in modern gold watches, vintage gold watches are a different look and vibe. I have several rectangular and round cases. They’re very coo for many reasons.
@@BeckVMH what's the value for this one?
You have taken a tarnished crown and restored it to it's former glory. you have magic hands. Thank you for the pleasure you glve.
Bush fix 101 made me laugh out loud. In my country we call it “Gambiarra”. This is by far my favorite watch channel.
About to go to bed and nekkid uploads. Guess I'm staying up later.
What a beautiful, elegant piece... and so patiently and skilfully restored.
Your closing words startled me more than I can express; truly, your timing could not have been better.
I have to say I think this is one of the most beautiful watches you have restored! My personal taste of course.
1. Lovely watch and seemingly bigger than so many 1940s pieces! Thanks for showing the difficulties in restoring it.
2. Your genuine good wishes and attitude always make my heart happy.
Thank you 🙏
I agree, I do enjoy your sense of humor and your cheery attitude sir.
You just made a Tuesday in Thailand so much better. The IWC watch is just beautiful - your replacement crown looks great, as does the new band. As usual love the commentary & Trouble’s little cameos. Your patience in bluing the hands was extraordinary - real craftsmanship!
Thank you 🙏
Fantastic job! The watch went from an ugly duckling to a radiant watch. Keep up the great work!!
Ever since I saw you're channel I always watch you're video feels so relaxing. Rather than watching some stupid pranks and useless video that waste my time.. hope to see more of these restoration. I have a watch 12 yrs old now it stopped working but I still kept it it has a sentimental value to me.
What a beautiful movement (it looks so sturdy), and with lovely decoration. I like the way you cleaned up and blued those steel hands, and the case looks wonderful now.
Thank you 🙏
These posts are worthy of being watched more than once...
I don't understand why UA-cam stopped to recommend your videos. I will look for your videos by myself.
What a beautiful watch, this may have been your best restoration yet. The video and the narration were also excellent. You may be gifted at Watch Making but you also are a very talented video producer. It is always a pleasure to see a new video from Nekkid Watchmaker. Thank You.
Thank you 🙏
The movement is gorgeous, as is the finished product. I would wear this over my current IWC. This is stunning.
23:12 man you roasted the child. I love red dead restoration for all seriousness and you for all cheekiness. Both of you are my favourite watch smiths.
40 minutes of mesmerization, my day is complete!
You have a magical touch with watches. I came across this channel a couple years ago. This is an art. I’m a nurse in the United States and always wanted to work on watches though life led me elsewhere. You make me want to quit nursing and go back to school for horological studies. I am 51 not sure about school, maybe just tinker on the side! Wish you nothing but peace and joy!
wonderful video my friend! keep giving us these little gems to appreciate, thank you.
Thank you 🙏
A thing of beauty - reborn! Lovely.
one of the most beautifull dresswatches I have seen of far. Outstanding. Thanks.
That was a wonderful restoration on a beautiful, really beautiful timepiece, I love how you apreciate the master-craftsmanship of every clock you work with... you are a true wizard that pulls tricks I had not see coming... I was really missing your calm way of telling the story on everything your doing and the uplifting thoughts on this troubled times.... I really wish you, troubles and accountant are safe and healthy... take care my friend, as always, greetings from Cancún, México, Earth...
Thanks Carlos. Wishing the best for you and your family
While your repairs and cleaning are always fascinating and fun, each time I watch one of these I marvel at the thought that people had to make these microscopic parts in the first place. How do you even create such minuscule gears and screws with the precision necessary? Endlessly amazing. Thanks for sharing your expertise and commentary.
@BreatheScotland ....And how tiny the hands that held the tools to make the ?machine? that ground those gears and tapped-and-died the screws and.... to say nothing of the wee miners who dug the iron to forge the steel and refine the gold...and...and...and
;-)
Very little done by hand these days. Google George Daniels for some insights.
I watch it now 20 Times , she is a beauty , and after 10hours with this one , still today the nicest you ever restored .
Thanks mate
Easily one of your best videos so far. BRAVO!! And thank you, Sir. The comments at the end were meaningful and relevant.
The sort of object for one to live up to. Thank you for showing it the love it deserves.
Wow. Utterly amazed at how small the inner workings of a timepiece are. More amazing is how you can fabricate such small and intricate pieces. That is one lovely IWC.
The most beauty you EVER work on. To this point, i hope for many more hours of timeless watching you. Because you are a unbelivable great in this.
Thank you 🙏

I love the way you speak, no bleeps just everyday language, refreshing!
I have seen every video, and if I could choose one watch from the lot, it would be this one. Elegant, simple, classic. Thank you for the joy you bring!
Quantum realm alright! I nearly spat out my tea when you said you were going to drill the spring out.
Probus Scafusia is the motto of the International Watch Company. It means, 'Good, solid craftsmanship from Schaffhausen'.
4:40 LOL, This is why you're my favorite watchmaker on UA-cam, you have a sense lf humor.
Your episodes are always so soothing to watch. Glorious restoration, damn fine work.
Thank you 🙏
"Life is a storm, you will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes. You must look into that storm and shout. Do your worst, for I will do mine!" Edmond Dantes
Like the stoooopid chainsaw I rented on my birthday that defeated me. I also had to throw a tantrum and rapidly unschedule-dly disassembly my face mask and ear protection by casting them against the concrete pad. That was my storm. I recovered and made up for it the next day by installing the glass on a small sandblaster. Very difficult. There I won, the storm lost.
Very nice restoration!
This is the most beautiful classic watch I have ever seen.

This is the most beautiful classic watch I have ever seen.
Second time watching this. Every time you go off to have a cuppa, I stop the video and prepare a cup for myself, too. I like Constant Comfort.
Lol a good cuppa always cheers me up
I get goosebumps watching your craftwork. You mate are a blessing for many to forget about this earth and recharge. PS the music is rich and beautiful
That watch is really stunning. Excellent restoration!
Wow. All those incredible guts just to cover it up with a solid plate. I love when watches show the back for that very reason
My favourite video Mr Nekkid!!-i keep coming back to it when tired or feeling low!-the watch itself is the most elegant piece of machinery I've ever seen-what a beautiful design despite you calling it simple! -peace,love and prosperity to you, yours and the world
Thank you and the same to you and yours
Wow, wow, wow. What a result on that little stunner!
I can never understand how such a nice piece can get so beat up over time. I never knew how they made the hands blue.
Absolutely beautiful! And lovingly restored with care, skill and patience.
Words quoted from the famous song by Gerry and the Pacemakers, You'll never walk alone. And to quote Dave Allen "may your god go with you". Another brilliant piece of work, that watch looks stunning.
Man i love your ventage watch.. Time is gold...
A stunning watch and a beautiful message. You sir are a truly good human being, thankyou for existing and making this dark world slightly brighter!
That's a beautiful timepiece. Thank you for sharing your craft with us 🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Dude!! You Rock!!! I cant believe you actually got that small piece out of there. Nice job!!
Stunning, definitely bluing the hands was the right idea
Superb craftsmanship; "love the style and unique movement", a rare piece to be enjoyed.
What a beautiful watch. also, I love the rapport between you and your son. Better than a TV series.
If I could have anyone ever work on a cherished watch it would be you your work is outstanding the attention to detail is out of this world you sir are truly a MASTER.
Thank you 🙏
Can’t stop watching you work on these watches.. just enough information and best of craic listening to you .. keep up the great work …
Thank you 🙏
Beautiful watch! Great dial! Great job on the hands! You know, the previous watchmaker has cheated, instead of following the right way, the way of the bright side of the Force! Cheers and thank you for your beautiful soul and for your words of wisdom. Hoping for the best, the situation here in Europe it's not one of the best, we all hope for our brothers and sisters engaged in this unuseful war (as if it exists such a thing as a "useful war"), not to be harmed by the bullets or by the pandemic that still is in the air in the form of the corona virus. Thank you for sharing. Have a great life!
Thank you 🙏
I' d bet that watch has never looked that good. I think some of your brilliance / magic is going into each piece you restore.
This is my idea of a lugubrious timepiece. Thank you for sharing your experiences
Your work is amazing but what is even more amazing is the Chinese micrometer that is that precise.
I am overwhelmed with this man's skill and his wonderful wisdom in human nature.
..., and the tools. i've spent a fortune tooling up in anticipation of repairing a few old watches. But the exceptional quality of tooling and machinery "Blows my mind." Together with mad craftsmanship skills and eye for detail..., awesome!
Esta es para mí la restauración más espectacular que has hecho. El reloj quedó muy bello. 👌
This might be the prettiest watch you have done. Love it
Love the blue arms so beautiful against the light face, simply stunning x
Joe, that was wonderful! The blued hands really show up well against that dial. Thank you for showing us the way...
That dial is beautiful!!!
Wow! What an an amazing transformation. Keep the videos coming as they are very watchable.
I probably said it before, love your work and despite not being a fan of teardrop lugs or onion crowns, that watch came up beautifully restored. Cheers and thanks for another soothing video.
What a beautiful piece! Both the watch of course, as well as the episode. Thanks for once again sharing your adventures with us. I for one always look forward to the next one. They always brighten my day, and without fail prove that there are still reasons for one to smile and be happy! May God Bless You and Yours. Cheers!
Thanks mike
Beautiful! Great job on the spring, very clever! So happy to see you and your family are doing well. I don’t wear gold, either, but this came out lovely!
Thank you 🙏
This is one of my favorite watches 👍🏻
Peace and blessings 🙏
have lost and found tiny parts dozens of times am loving your reaction to the jumpy parts !!
Thanks Joe, Loved it. The sponsorship was great and will impress the Accountant. The IWC turned out beautiful and the joke about troubles teeth social distancing had me rolling! Another Epic! 👍👍✊✌

That is one GORGEOUS watch!
I have repaired everything almost - clocks and Ion beam implanters - but from the first vid I saw 3 years ago - I no longer need to fix a watch - it is many times more cathartic just observing you doing it for me .. 👀💚
Amazing how small they could make parts in 1943 and how well you were able to fix this beautiful watch.
Amazing build as per always… but there is something uniquely grounding about hearing spiritual thoughts and philosophy in a Brummy accent - absolutely love it!
The addition of the Black Widow clip was brilliant!

Thanks joe
I’m always amazed at the contrast between before and after. Thanks as always, and God bless.
Nekkid Watchmaker, This watch is absolutely beautiful. The bluing of the hands is a great job, even if not perfect, no one will notice. I started learning how to restore watches, mainly pocket watches last January 2022. I have been good at getting them apart, but not so much getting them together, yet. I have been accumulating several watches since and have some unique ones that I want to restore. I watch your videos, they are inspiring and you add some very good tips that I find helpful. thank you for such great videos.
Beautifully done
