thank you very much for your tutorial! I am trying to stream to DLive and it says to set the Keyframe Rate to 2 in OBS, which means you have to choose Advanced instead of Simple. But I'm getting the hang of this! I'm helping to teach others how to livestream, hopefully I'm not screwing it up too bad
I agree with Greg Murray (below). I've been looking for ages for a tutorial that would explain clearly how to get started. Some start with studio mode, which is very confusing. Thanks for sticking to the basics in the first session and then adding stand-alone building blocks.
Thanks for the video. Im assuming you're using an external XLR microphone since you have a rodecaster pro. My question is - Does OBS catch it simply by connecting the mixer with the laptop through a USB?

Hello, I'm trying to connect atem mini and OBS studio to live streaming, I got the video but there's no audio, even no camera audio. My camera is canon EOS t5i. Please any idea?
I'm trying to do a reaction video with overlay picture in picture on OBS, but I can't get my iMac System Preferences for the audio right...The audio is all echoing and reverb, my mic voice is coming out of the headphones...the screen capture audio is coming out of the imac internal speakers..And the desktop audio isnt showing up on the OBS audio meter...So after I save the video and try to play it back i cant hear that part of the audio...Someone can you Help please!!

I would like to enchance the audio through Garageband. I am right now using YAMAHA MG06X sound mixer the output is given to Behringer UCA202 then to the USB port of my mac book. When I am futher using GB on mac my audio lags my video. Kindly suggest how to avoid it. Thanks in advance - Nukala

any idea why my recording will shows a bit low on quality ? my system is pretty beefy one with Ryzen 3800X , GTX 1080Ti , 16gb of DDR4 3800mhz . so the story was, i wanted to capture my gameplays so i thought i'd just quit Geforce Experience in order to get a better quality on my game recording session.. after messing with OBS, i finally gave up on it, but this video gave me a little hope on trying it out again .. Seems to be NLR (No longer relevant) I can't by any means get OBS to show me a screen with a single window like yours.All I can get is a preview panel and another one beside it that most of the time show a black screen.

So i ran a speed test and got 4.53 gigabytes average, then i converted it to kilobytes and it gave me 45300000 am i suppose to add that too the video bitrate because that seem too high to be accurate, surely i did something wrong

I waited, thinking that it could be my server issue.. but it didn't work out after several attempts. Plz help out
I really need some help with something, when I have OBS open on my 2nd monitor, and I open a Steam game on my primary monitor, both screens go black for a second and my game appears as it should but OBS gets minimised on the 2nd monitor to just show my desktop and I can't move my cursor over to re-open it as the cursor is fixed in the game if that makes sense. How can I open a game and keep OBS open on my 2nd monitor? Thanks

That is called studio mode. Turn that off.

Sometimes sites will not load, they just won’t. No fix I am aware of.
