Justin, I have tried using my webcam to go live on youtube with not success at all!! I had no idea that I had to download a software. Today was my cousins birthday, and he was turning 18, he was on his computer, he showed me he was a streamer, a small one, and showed me all the needed programs for the stream (including OBS and some others I think). I didn't understand anything and was very surprised, excited. Now I found this video and is very helpful. Thank you a lot. One of the most helpful ones out there.

Thanks. I needed this for one of my jobs where we need to record virtual tours. I wasn’t liking the idea of holding my cellphone up and recording a screen for an hour.
Plus with this I can do so much more than just screen capturing.
As someone that hasn't done any type of capturing on pc or streaming, this is by far the best video I have found. I know there are a lot out there but I have no idea what I am doing. You broke it down and showed it step by step. I'm not done watching the video but you have my sub and I will be checking out your other videos to learn more. Was browsing UA-cam just to figure out how to start YouTubing and specifically using OBS. Well three vids in this is the best one so far and very detailed in me learning all the screen setup in the software. I’ll have to even revisit and rewatch this vid again so I understand everything. It never goes to say if you make a tutorial explain it properly so a new person can understand and know how to use the thing your explaining and this was explained in detail I needed and will help me on my first video. This is by far the best video I have found. Just need to know a little more. I will keep searching his videos to see if maybe he teaches the screen record, and if you can record a section of the screen.

I am a beginner to OBS so this video has been super helpful Justin, thank you. I am trying to record a tutorial demonstrating how to use an online ordering website. I am using a highlight for my cursor. When I play back my video I can see the cursor but it doesn't record the highlight. I downloaded the cursor highlighter from Microsoft. Is there a setting I am missing?

I can't express how much this video has helped me, I had tried OBS and after a week of fighting with it, I gave up... today I had a stream directly to youtube and realised that won't do, so I decided to try again and this video has given me hope, that maybe this time I will figure it out!

Oh my gosh! I think I can do this once I figure out how to get OBS to let go of my webcam. My OBS is set up with virtual cables for audio and video (A + B) so I can hear my Zoom participants through OBS. Unfortunately, I am unable to get the webcam out of this mode so I can use it as an actual webcam for facebook or You Tube (sigh). Anyhow, I'm a lot farther now than I was and you've made pulling a thoughtful video together so easy. Brilliant!
