I started out heavily inspired by Novo guitars by Dennis Fano - and my building philosophy is - not to reinvent the wheel- but rather try to learn from the greats.
I’m a guitar building beginner with my fourth guitar/partscaster build.
With this project I'm I want to make something special and unique with the visual style while keeping it pretty traditional with the rest.
In this video I make a lot of mistakes so that you don't have to.
You should pay attention and learn ;)))

Installed a 10-way switch in my HSS Strat. Such a wide range of tones without losing any of the original ones. :)

Hey Michael, you might remember my comment from a couple videos back. I mentioned I could see jimi page or jimmy hendrix playing this strat. With that in mind, I was trying to think about what you could do with the pick guard.. and I think what I would do is look up George Harrison “Rocky” guitar, Jimi Hendrix Monterey strat, jimmy page dragon telecaster, and potentially Steve via guitars… even though his don’t usually have pickguards.. and just try to get some ideas about what they did with those guitars. Personally I think the dragon guitar would be something like you should go for, unique but subtle. Dont wanna take away from the cool swirl that’s breaking through the wears. However you might be able to get away with something more exotic if you execute it right. Just my opinion but at the end of the day, you need to be the one who loves it. I’m excited to see what you come up with!

I’m have been struggling a little with my crazy pick guard but it’s done and my hippie strat is almost done. Can’t wait to get the video out.
