  • In this video my goal is to give the strat body a visual look that incapsulates 3 elements. The beautiful colours in the music, the sweat and tears of the musicians and the roughness of the wood.
With this project I'm I want to make something special and unique with the visual style while keeping it pretty traditional with the rest.
This Partscaster is meant to be personal and inspiring to me even if everyone else will hate it. That’s kind of the point of building a Guitar like this I think.
I’m just trying things out and giving this body a finish I don’t think you have seen before.
I will make all the mistakes so you don't have too ;)
I started out heavily inspired by Novo guitars by Dennis Fano - and my building philosophy is - not to reinvent the wheel- but rather try to learn from the greats.
I’m a guitar building beginner with my fourth guitar/partscaster build.
I built my first guitar under corona lockdown in the summer 2020 and guitar building kind of hooked me.

The good thing with relic jobs, is that you will never be scared to scratch or bump your guitar when using it.

  • @blondegraemey

I normally dont like over-the-top relic jobs, but this looks wonderful! I would certainly play it 😊

  • @longotown

That looks Amazing - and the concept is just cool! Great project

  • @bydeattic8319

That paint job on a matching pedalboard would look cool!

"Dennis Fano is on the phone....You're hired...."

I dig it, to me it looks like a guitar jimmy page or Jimi Hendrix would have if they had a relic guitar. Super cool. Also wanna thank you for your videos. I did a partscaster a few years back and made me want to do a scratch build. Your first guitar build inspired me and gave me the confidence to take a chance and plunge into it.

  • @ChrisFranklyn

I really like this. From a distance I thought you'd done some sort of acrylic pouring effect.

  • @joachimtengler6327

Looks really great. How about a darker pickguard for contrast? Or Maybe an anodized Gold?😮 favorite UA-cam builder this guy😊

  • @osamabentlarsen

Looks great. I woul hand paint the pickguard to match the colour scheme you already have. A little dab of colour on the headstock would be nice - not much, just a bit.

  • @chardschoice

Try a gold anodized aluminum guard.

  • @morf2947

You're and artist! This looks very nice. I think the pearl pickguard fits the best. Excited to see it play

Dry ice will work. I do relicing at my job. I work for LsL guitars.

That will hang on someone's wall. probably someone who will never play guitar in their life. Yep. Don't waste your time and money with strings and wiring. Maybe just some painted cardboard where the pickups go. It's art,, not music.
