I didn’t know being extremely isolated was a symptom of menopause until I saw it in one of your videos. My adult son thinks I’m completely crazy.😂He tries to force me to go out and make more friends. I tried to tell him that I don’t want to, but he keeps it up. Now I know what it is, so thank you.

I’m a 50 year old woman in the midst of perimenopause, and in the past 5 years I’ve become gluten intolerant, and have severe gastro reactions to soybean oil, canola oil, sugar, high fructose fruits and chocolate. I had no idea it could be related to changing hormones! I also tend to get cold flashes more frequently than hot flashes. Lately, I’ve developed arthritis issues in my hips, hands and elbows. And I’m not even in menopause yet!

Yes to all of this. Coupled with headaches, random flare ups on certain fingers, like little red spots that make it feel and look swollen and tender. Happens on my toes as well. Ears buzzing non stop. No desire to do anything, general blahs. Bouts of crying……I can go on and on 🥴 the joys 🥳
    Hers a small list:
    Heartburn
    Itching
    Dry skin
    Dry eyes
    Joint pain
    Neck and shoulder pain
    Allergies
    Increased hunger
    Isolation
    Lack of sleep
    Irritability
    Low libido
    Excessive thirst
Lack of patience to do simple things
Struggling to do simple things from the past that weren’t a big deal
    Lack of concentration
    Dizzy/vertigo
    Muscle loss
What I do to try to cope:
    Deep breathing sessions
    Mediation
    Stretching/Yoga
    EFT Tapping
Real ease old pent up anger/pain
    Forgiveness
    Prayer
    Drink lots of water

I definitely have some of these strange symptoms, including tasting blood in my mouth. To me, that is one of the creepier ones- I haven't eaten gluten for years now, and seem to be sensitive to several legumes that never used to give me any problems. Horrendous foot pain is another one-

The changing tastebuds! For me, that’s the weirdest change. I’m 51 and, fingers crossed, in about 6 weeks I’ll cross that menopause bridge😊 The strangest symptom I’m experiencing is an aversion to meat - all kinds. Sometimes I can eat it but most of the time it makes me nauseous! I have to say that I’m not particularly sad about it though. Being forced into vegetarianism is not the worst thing to happen to me… or my health.

Thanks Kari again for your great content. Your videos consoles me that i am not alone. I am.not going crazy. Last year i had problems with GI tract issues..i used to have constant gerd and acid reflux, bloating and pain . It was then i decided to remain punctual in timings for my meals. I ensured to eat food on time and limited qty what i can digest. It helped a lot. Then i had issues with sore throat. It lasted for months. Now i have huge huge anxiety issues specially health anxiety and panic feelings. I also have become so much forgetful that i need to write notes to remind myself. Hot flashes are crazy. I do have periods coming monthly with slight changes in monthly cycle days.. from 28 days it has shifted to 26 days or sometimes 29 days with very scanty flo. My mood swings are huge in pms and with anxiety, stress , worrying all the time that i might be dying soon. This is so hard Kari. I wish i knew this before. I am not able to enjoy life anymore as the constant negative thoughts and anxiety takes away all happiness. Dont know how long it will take to get through this and reach the other side of the tunnel.

YES YES YES to all of the above, but especially the cold flashes, the bug biting, and the change in bowel reactions to some foods! I've ben acccustomed to the hot flashes, but within the last 5 years or so, the cold flashes have pushed in there as well. For a person that has always been hot-natured, this is very strange! The bug biting thing get me frreaked out. I live in the desert, so bugs in the summertime are a daily thing. But when you feel something that isn't there at all, thats even freakier. I'm always afraid I'm going to check for a bug and its really going to be a scorpion, so I'm constantly on the watch for whatever is itching. I just recently noticed when trying to add some whole grain and oats cereal back into my diet, that my very favorite cereal would give me diarrhea if I ate it too late, or id be lucky if I just got away with a bad case of reflux! I had a reaction to it midday the other day, so guess that one is out! The hardest thing about post-menopause is I didn't even know it was a thing until 6 months after I stopped taking hormones. So much for cruising through the next 20 years. I am irritable as hell!

I have cold flashes but my extremities don’t burn. I’m clumsy and very introverted and only want to go to church. I wonder if some of the different symptoms I’ve had lately are estrogen lately. The more I’m listening to Kari, they may be. 😊 thank you for what you do because it’s definitely given me things to think about. ❤❤

Yep I get cold flash sometimes only in the daytime, at night it's the occasional hot flashes. And yes I have developed gluten intolerance for 7 years now, I've also developed sensitivities to eggs and other foods.
Dread social interaction, I use to love to travel and now I just want to stay home you are right on about the fear of these random anexpected symptoms showing up while in public that's my main reason for not wanting to leave the house.
I've been having perimenopause symptoms for almost 12 years now 😫
There has been some improvements, the first few years were unbearable... I hope and pray that I am finally coming to the end of this nightmare. 🙏
Thank you for all of your videos I found that knowing that it was "normal" and that other women were experiencing the same went a long way in easing the horrible anxiety that I was plagued with for years brought on by these dozens of symptoms.

Wow I am experiencing almost all of these things. I am hot and cold at the same time. Sometimes I can get soo freezing cold I start to shiver in 110 degree heat. It's weird. My hands and feet sometimes burn and I am sooo dry all over. Even if I bathe in lotion I would still be dry and I have a metallic taste in my mouth. I am going through it. Even though I am an extrovert, now I really want to be alone. I just turned 46 and I really didn't want to do anything for my birthday. Lol for some crazy reason I spent the whole day thinking about my life and I kept asking myself deep philosophical questions instead of having fun... I'm confused because I thought all of this would happen after I stop having periods. Even still It is good to know that I am not the only one going through all of this. Thank you so much for posting this video. I feel less crazy now lol

Perimenopause occurs long before your periods stop. That is the time when they will slowly start changing and eventually skipping. The symptoms(if they are going to appear) start during this time.

Menopausal here 👋 No HRT or anything containing phytoestrogens due to hormone sensitivity. Very bad hot flushes, night sweats, waking up every morning feeling sad 😢... Until the caffeine kicks in ☕😁
Can' tolerate gluten either plus foods from the Nightshades family, celery, broccoli, most fruits and dairy with cheese being the worst. Weirdest symptoms I'm getting at the moment is burning feet and feeling dissociated from my own body.
On the plus side, I've given up cigarettes, alcohol and toxic friends. Been going on my own adventures, lots of travelling, meeting new people. New clothes, new hair, almost a new identity but still mourn the loss of the person I once was who has now become a stranger.
Very strange this menopause business, think next life I'll come back as a cat 😺😅

I've always been a very outgoing person. People person is what you call me. I used to love to travel meet people. Always wanting to do things. And now the last couple of years right as I was transitioning and didn't realize it. I don't want to go anywhere. I do want my friends around me. My close friends and the occasional. Let's do coffee or let's do a lunch is good for me. But I've had a lot of acquaintances say you never want to go anywhere . Why should we bother to ask you. I said well I appreciate it when you ask me because that makes me feel that you care.
But honestly I just don't want to do anything anymore. I have to work full time but other than that I'd rather be in my pajamas all day every day.
And perimenopause I became allergic to mushrooms. Hated it because I love those things. But I got accustomed to it. This past year at 56 I'm now allergic all kinds of foods that I used to eat. For some reason mine is mainly vegetables and fruits. Like pineapple and paprika and peppers...
And the depression is just overwhelming
And I have noticed that I'm very sensitive to things touching my skin all the sudden. Bugs or heat cold.
I found out that it's 50. I begin liking brussel sprouts and I hated them my entire life! All of a sudden I couldn't get enough of them. Same thing with radishes. Love them. These are foods I would never eat otherwise until I turned 50.
I really wish you had a class you could connect to other than on Facebook and Instagram. I don't have those.
I only have Twitter and zoom

I have the cold flashes. I have often said it is like my thermostat has broken. It is a problem in sleeping. I put the blanket over me... within 5 minutes I get too hot. I kick the blanket off and within 10 minutes I am freezing. I put the blanket back on. I particularly have a problem with this at work. AC is higher because men have more layers. So women are cold anyway but in menopause I am dying. At home I use a rice pad to warm me up. At work I take water and warm it up in the microwave. That warms my hands and my heart.
