It's hard when no one around you understands the anxiety change.
Yes it really is. People think I’m odd at times but it is what it is. I can’t worry about it because I have enough to contend with.
@@KariAnneWright me2
Yes
It's very hard and distressing. They just want to fob you off with medication. I'm tired of being offered different medication
Yes it is
Thanks for this! I am going through menopause and I never know howI am going to feel on any given day. Gas, bloating, diarrhea, air and pressure in the ears causing imbalance, lack of sleep, crawling skin, anxiety and depressing, racing thoughts, hot flashes, dry eyes, heart palpitations( yes been in the emergency room took test, all test negative) I have it all. My life is not the same. This video just let me know that I am not alone and I am thankful to you for taking the time to share!
So many of us have been to the er to have our hearts checked. Glad your tests were negative.
Me too! I never know will it be one symptom or ALL at one time. I feel like a million bugs are crawling all over me! Chest pains, heart palpitations, transient HIGH BLOOD pressure, migraines, ear pressure pain, tinnitus, vertigo, nausea, pains down arms, blood sugar issues, and so many more. Many many tests, heart, scans, X-rays blah blah blah…. I had no idea other women are going through the same as me. Praying for you.
Getting older truly sucks. We were cursed with birth pains, but who knew the curse would continue into our later stages of life. Never-ending cycle.
Yes n monthly cramps
Anxiety it's the worse , I have no other symptoms but this one changed my life into hell , from confident person to person who hates to visit hairdresser and sometimes getting up it's like fighting the whole world.
Anxiety is a real beast. I struggle with it too. I pray it lifts and you find peace of mind. Hugs!❤️
Yes me
@@KariAnneWright me2
Amen
I have truly felt like I'm going insane with anxiety . You are not alone .
The anxiety I now get driving on the freeways makes it almost impossible for me to do so
I know I had that happen to me.
Me too, I had it, had to pull over
I'm glad I found your channel. As I sit at my desk in sweat pants, no make up, with a "phantom period" wondering what other species has invaded my body your content as least makes me laugh and is relatable. I just turned 51 and this stinks.
Omg… I can relate, all I wear are capris and tank tops!
I can just cry 😢 because I thought it was me. Anxiety is the worse. So debilitating. I was also in the ED with chest pain. Just Unbearable. Joint pain! I am scared to leave the house unless I have a layout to where and how long I have to walk.
Spending my morning watching your videos. Thank you I feel less lonely in this perimenopause journey. Anxiety, heart palps, insomnia, nausea, fatigue, depression has affected my life.
I’m glad my videos are helping you feel less alone in all of this chaos. There are many of us struggling alongside you.❤️
This is a very lonely journey. Nobody (the so-called medical field) don't really listen or understands.
Autism symptoms like sensitive digestion, anxiety, and more plus perimenopause is everything turned up an extra couple of notches. Dry eyes suck. And no one I know who has medication for it seems to get any relief.
I have aaaaall of the symptoms like many of us ladies but now have developed chronic sinus inflammation and adult onset asthma too. Life is…challenging. Much love to all who are enduring this.
This time of life is definitely challenging. Hugs!❤️
I have also sinus problems and they are chronic also, so much so I have problems swallowing at times and it’s scary, 5 years ago I couldn’t swallow pills anymore so my vitamins and medicines look like a 3 year olds ,chewable!!!!
@@lisaprestidge4837 sending hugs ❤️
I also develop sinus and allergies too, most days I have so much pressure in the forehead, and extremely dry eyes. I have just about every symptom there is, let’s continue to be strong!
I have the feet pain so bad! It's so hard to walk sometimes. I had no idea it was a menopause symptom
Is the feet pain like burning pain like you need a foot massage? Also do you experience pain in your palms and hands?
This is so validating. For years, I had no idea what was wrong with me. I also have fibromyalgia and my worst peri symptoms are anxiety and depression, crushing fatigue, adrenaline surges, rosacea, dry eyes, brain fog/forgetfulness, tinnitus and drastic weight loss. Fun times. 😔
Yes fibro and menopause together is pure torment. I empathize!

Thank you so much at last I feel I’m not alone I’m 57, anxiety is so bad I get worried about driving, I have insomnia where I was still awake at 4 am in the morning while I’m typing this, Brain fog,,
Shaving every flippin day
I have bruises everwhere from bumping into things
Always tired
Cry ramdomly
Weight loss and weight gain
Thanks Kari I think the number one for me is the inability to tolerate other peoples crap. Tonight I just put myself to bed so I did not have to deal with anyone. I’ve never put me first and I’ve always stayed up to finish chores but tonight they can all go get……
I have ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, and I've always had anxiety, panic attacks, and social anxiety. I got early cataracts, so dry eyes are a problem for me. I have to use preservative free eye drop vials multiple times a day. (This gets expensive.) So having all these things intensified dramatically with menopause. I'd had the bleeding for months at a time for years in perimenopause. Really. I had no health insurance. I was actually bleeding out. I wound up in the county hospital getting blood transfusions and iron by IV. Almost at death's door. They couldn't even believe how little blood I had. Blood pressure was insanely high. Ultimately, I wound up on Medicaid and I've long since had a uterine ablation. Now I'm past menopause.
For me, the worst symptom was the night sweats and the nightmares. I've always had vivid dreams, but it got so bad that I felt I would go crazy. But! I discontinued the Cymbalta and Wellbutrin I'd been on and the night sweats literally stopped overnight. Snap! Just like that! NOT telling anyone to go off an antidepressant they need, but clearly they were making problems for me. Nightmares have stopped, too. (I was weaned off slowly by my doc, don't try that at home without medical assistance.) The other symptoms I've had all my life. Benzodiazepines have helped me more than anything else. My blood pressure could not be successfully controlled until I went on clonazepam. I couldn't live without benzos. It's a great shame that we've been so scared off of them in this country. (They're available cheaply and generically, so drug companies can't make money off of them like they once did.) Am I dependent? Probably. But the problem with that isn't the drug, it's the insecure supply. I had to fight to get this low dose.
Thank you. My most horrifying issues are hip pain, dry eye and dry mouth. There is some confort in knowing whats going on and that im not alone. Thank you again for sharing such valuable information because the doctors are tight lipped.
My anxiety is bad n gotten worse ruining my life
I struggle with anxiety as well. It does interfere with one’s life in significant ways.
So many symptoms for one aging body. Sniff sniff. I did eventually land in ER with a young and sympathetic Dr who spared me the cost and agony of tests and simply told me all my endless tiny complaints were symptoms of menopause. Next Dr also confirmed the strong possibility of fibromyalgia. But I got a prescription for anxiety that also works for many of my menopause symptoms and is commonly used for fibromyalgia. Life is so much better. But if it weren't for these videos I wouldn't know so many of the symptoms and that I'm not the only one. Sighs of relief.
The worst for me is nausea! I feel like I'm pregnant but it's not just morning sickness. It's all day.
That must be terrible. I get nausea in waves here and there. I can’t imagine having it all day. Big hugs!❤️
I literally woke up this morning at 01:00 with terrible nausea. it's awful
Ginger helps.
This explains a number of symptoms I've had in the last number of years. I didn't know there were so many possible menopausal symptoms.
I'm 45 and experiencing these symptoms.. Thank i found this video.
🤣🤣🤣You make those difficult symptoms sound FUNNY...but you are right on target about them.
Wow I had these things asked friends who were older than me about my stuff; especially the prolonged periods and even when I went to the doctor he said nope not metopause.
I have symtoms everything..anxiety, depression, insomia, highblood pressure, dizziness, panic attack ear clogged
Im affraid to be alone body ache stiffneck headached😭😭😭so difficult😢😢 almost 5 months already..i still dont know what to to..i always laydown because my body ached
Omg same here same problems and that is what i does all of your symptoms im having😢😢
Hot flashes are the worse! When one comes on, my brain feels like it’s on fire, my limbs tingle, my heart rate rises, my stomach flips, and I feel like I’m going to faint. My quality of life has greatly decreased. All I can do is go on leisurely walks. I’ve been this way since March 2023. I’m 56. When I found your channel, I realized that I wasn’t going absolutely crazy. And, now, my family knows what I’m going through and is very supportive and understanding. We watch your videos together. God Bless you.
God bless you too!
I am 46 and I am in perimenopause. I deal with itchy skin. Usually applying vaseline or petroleum jelly tames it. I deal with missed periods. I deal with constipation, diarrhea, stomach issues, frequent urination, urinary incontinence etc. I am cutting out refined sugar from my diet(although once in a while I will occasionally have a brownie, a doughnut or a cookie from Starbucks), but I have cut out packaged cookies, packaged cakes, packaged pastries, white bread etc.. from my diet, I eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, I eat quinoa, I eat plain yogurt, I eat lentils, I eat kidney beans, black beans, pinto beans etc.. I eat less sodium, I drink herbal teas, I drink plenty of water, I eat ginger, garlic, turmeric, parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, basil, cilantro, etc. I cut down on caffeine, I don't drink any alcohol, I don't eat meat, etc...
Your diet sounds very similar to mine. It sounds like you’re taking your health seriously and I pray it makes a huge difference to your symptoms soon.
Thanks for sharing..I am going through most of what you mention..it's not easy. But I would encourage those of us going through menopause .Trust in the Lord..
Kitty is me at 1:52 contemplating my life choices and wondering if that's why I feel so crappy at this stage of my life.
Thanks Kari, I’m 51 and in perimenopause.. your words are very reassuring reducing my anxiety a lot . ❤

I hate the itching!!!!!
Explained my jaw/ear problem to a T. Also have lots of dizziness with it. Thank you for sharing every week.

Have you treated it?
Digestive issues, and tingling in feet and the twitches.
Have had clogged ears fir about two months now went to ENT said everything was fine nothing wrong but my ears are still clogged
Anxiety is new to me and it’s horrible. itch, burning, insomnia, tinnitus, pain, etc. 😢(I had no idea they were symptoms) Omgosh unbelievable!
Anxiety is brutal. Sorry!❤️
I have EVERY symptoms you mention(EVERY DAY!
Me anxiety adrenal rush n fatigue BUT ANXIETY IS BAD 4ME
Omg, I have every one. The dry eyes, palpitations and body-pains are the worse. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia as well before all this so the pain is unbearable. My eyes are so dry that I too have to have sleep with eye drops next to me. Smh. Tha ks for letting me know I'm not alone.
Morningish Kari. I woke up today feeling like I haven't slept for weeks. Pretty much everything you said is what I've been going through for 3-4yrs now. When will it stop??? Oh my word, sometimes 🤦🏻♀️
It's the itchiness. It drives me nutty
What a rigamarole!😩I am watching this as I deal with my hot flashes and try to go to sleep! Kari, thank you for doing what you do here, as I don’t have any one to talk to about this experience. I’m glad to know I’m not alone.
Thank you, Kari! My 2 worst symptoms, by far, are uncontrollable itching and atrophy. Like, what the what?!?! We've all heard about hot flashes and night sweats, but I never knew any of these (and many more) perimenopause and menopause symptoms existed. You're a God send!
I'm so grateful you share these things with all of us! I won't be thinking I have some major problem. I'm the type that doesn't run to the doctor unless I'm dying.
Once again you nailed it, honey! My hands blow up with hives every time I take a simple walk, I get palpitations when I lie flat (great!), goodbye contacts/good morning torn corneas, and my diet consists of exactly 9 “safe” foods, none of which inspire shared meals. I have to say, though, the little black kitty face-planting on the back of the couch behind you made me forget all these symptoms for a spell. What a beauty! ❤
The black kitty is Pumba. He is 17 now so he doesn’t do much more than lie around now.😊
Thank you again. Spot on as always. ❤
Thank you for these videos!! You're helping me navigate this madness.
Your Videos are so well Made , I can confirm 🙏🏻thanks for Sharing blessings

I use heat patches and accupuncer you are amazing ♥️ thank you for doing your video s ♥️
Thank you, Kari! We can always count on your honesty, and I think that willingness to share is one of the most healing things about you and your channel, and FB group! I'm going through almost all of these now, with heart palps especially rearing its frenetic head. I'm countering with starting jogging again, to help it calm down. So far, I'm seeing some positive changes, thank God. Keep up the good work, sistah! ❤
Thank you for the kind words. What you see is what you get with me like it or not. I will always be my authentic self. Happy you’re seeing some improvements. Any improvement is to be celebrated.

I have low vision and going through this stuff
Before I started on HRT , Anxiety and depression were the worst
Thanks dear Kari for sharing important information

Did HRT help with the anxiety & depression? How long did it take for you to feel a change?
Cold compresses on eyes help, and preservative free drops help.
Great video. Out of the 10 that you mentioned I have 8 of them with anxiety being the worst.🤦🏿
I deal with many of them as well.😔

i suffer the ear pain and stomach issues
I get ear pain a lot.
Thanks for your videos they have been helpful to me just understanding what's happening to my body,
My struggles are vaginal dryness, new hives, dry eyes and skin, body aches and horrible crashing fatigue.
Dryness sure causes a lot of problems. Hugs!
@@KariAnneWright like unbearable itch!! Nothing works😭
Great examples of the nightmares we go through each day! The feet thing is agony. Not only do I have psoriatic arthritis in my ankles I have pain in my feet that is excruciating. The tip of placing your eye drops under your pillow is fantastic. I’m always knocking mine to the floor through the night or morning as I search for them with my eyes closed. What happened to you with your eye peeling happened to me. And I went to the optometrist and she noticed it during the eye exam. Like you say thankfully it healed.
I’m sorry you had the unfortunate eye experience I did. It was terrifying and very painful. Wishing you well.
Thanks, Kari Ann, for another one of these gems! I face most of them. Watching your videos helps handle the No. 1 symptoms in your list - anxiety. It feels good to know I’m not the only special one on the planet going through all this! Love you loads!
Thank you for the kind words and the super thanks!😊 I’m so happy to know that my videos help you. Sending love!❤️
I'm dealing with adenomyosis and peri symptoms. Life is so difficult. Many, many symptoms its distressing.
It can be very overwhelming and upsetting. Hugs!❤️
Luckily I stopped having the exhaustion when the periods went away. That is one thing I don't miss! All in all I feel better in menopause but it is not perfect. I had the worst periods. I do have a lot of these symptoms but not hot flashes or exhaustion. The symptoms that came with the periods were worse though.
Thank you❣️
🥰
Im 72 and i sweat constantly. Not just a little but dripping eith sweat. Not at night . Mostly in the morning and when i walk. By the time I get anywhere I'm wet from sweat and when i cool down im freezing because I'm still wet. Its horrid and my Dr. thinks its still menopause. Anybody else?
I don't know if this is part, but I have high blood pressure that just develop recently. I have experienced the eye thing and went to an ophthalmologist and learned I have ebmd (epithelial basement membrane dystrophy.) I have to use eye drops 4 times a day and ointment at night. All these changes in the body and changing life circumstances (kids moving out, aging parents) makes this season of life so hard.
High blood can become an issue when hormones shift. So many things happening to our bodies. It can be challenging.
I am expertly high blood pressure too, recently developed also. You are not alone!
I have also 8 out of the 10. Anxiety, stomach and pain are my top issues. Menopause is fraud. I guess my Gp is tired of me. 😫
😔
It feels like a chronic illness to me, tbh. Hope you and we all feel better soon!
Apart fro the crashing fatigue and migraines so dreadful i could only rock! I have had sweats which mean I leave the house having just done my hair amd make up and 6 minutes later my hair is SOAKING- as if id just had a shower! Not to mention how much it has thinned! Honestly its been dreadful and I had no idea peri menopause started so early. I also assumed i would be a similar sge to my sister ! We’ll definitely 5 years before her! I think its stress that brings it earlier!
Most of the above, at the moment it's digestive problems heartburn, wind and different food sensitivity, heavy breast, costochondritis
I deal with costochondritis as well. Very uncomfortable and unnerving. Anything chest related scares me.
@ Denise Williams Can you share more detail about what you mean by heavy breast? Not enough people mention breast issues and they are really alarming.🙅🏻
I struggle with 9 of these the only one I don’t is periods, but I’m going through the ears one right now, going to walk in clinic here in Ontario to make sure I don’t have an ear infection, for all we do as women this is the thanks we get 🤷🏼♀️
I’m in Ontario as well and getting in to see any doc in a timely manner is a challenge. I hope you’re seen fairly quickly and all is well.
I deal with all of these, + more.
I found you channel few days ago and have been binging the content since. Do you mind being called a (peri) menopausal queen? 😊
😂I don’t know about that but I’m always happy to help! Glad you’re enjoying my content.🥰
@@KariAnneWrightYou do help, great deal. Thank you for all the great job you do, helping women realize "it's not just them". I've been postmenopausal for the past 4 years (got there way too early) and I wish I'd known all the things you talk about in your videos. Still coping with bunch of symptoms: joint pain, gastrointestinal issues, poor sleep, sleepy all day long, brain fog (this one stroke me way too hard as I had always been sharp and eloquent), occasional hot flushes but much easier than they used to be. Long story short, my fight's not over. I just wish so many women didn't have to experience this painful journey. That's why it's important to talk about it over and over again. And you're doing an amazing job!
@@aidam.6231 Thank you for the kind words. I’m post menopausal as well and relate to many of the symptoms you describe. Wishing you well!❤️
Had fibro diagnosis and chronic fatigue syndrome 1988 before menopause yes, fun times. Never knew the perimeno symptoms could last ten years like they did for me. Pain and fatigue still here pushing 70 now. Gets hard to pidgeon (sp) hole what symptom belongs to what problem. They all inter-twine.
Yes it can be hard to figure our which bucket to put things in sometimes.
I feel heard!
Anybodys arm pit hair stop growing?? Is this uncommon during menopause?
I know some women say their body hair grows much slower or comes in lighter. I wish mine did.
I thought I was going nuts it seems like everything I eat lately causes an allergic reaction I’m constantly breaking out with these itchy red bumps, the night sweats, phantom periods being a woman is rough man😩😩😩😩😩
🥺
Kari , I love you . ❤️ Sal xxx
Thanks!🥰 You’re sweet!
Kari, were you plant based before menopause? Or if you weren't and changed in menopause did it help?
I’ve been about 85% plant based for many years. I occasionally indulge in chocolate or parmesan.😁 My diet helps a great deal because the few times that I really went off track my pain, digestion and cognition were affected.
This is my whole life at 49
🥺
3Am in the night & I hav to b up at 7 for work but I m up with so much itch n burning heat sensation in body.. skipping periods or having them for 3 days doc asked me to take primolut n but I don't know but the itch is soooo much plz pray
I get different menopause symptoms Day to Day😔
But my blood test NORMAL 👍🏽
😢
My migraines came bacck (gone 15 years) with a vengeance. I spent 3 1/2 months with a comstant one. It caused light and sound sensitivity. It got to where I couldn't drive. Thankfully, my neurologist has me on some medication to keep them at bay. Meanwhile, I am also working with an endocrinologist to help with the hormone imbalance that caused them.
😢
Has anyone experience bumps on the skin that is hard, red and itchy? I thought it was bed bugs but it appears on the same spot sometimes after a few months. I've had forced menopause due to my hysterectomy. I look like a walking polka dot!
Its aweful
Could barely sleep. Horrible muscle pains and aches last night and this morning mixed with anxiety. Long period.
😢😔
Oh those itches yes it's one of the worst ones I get ' and vaginal atrophy ooooooo ' thank you kari you put the s back in sanity other wise I feel insane oh yes the dry eyes too
Happy to help!🥰
