This is one of the best you've ever filmed, Brian. Atlanta and the road into it was just awesome and scary! You are making memories for a lifetime, and giving your viewers some insight into places where we would probably never go. Thanks for taking us along! 🌺
YOU my friend have done life VERY RIGHT. SMART. Watching people like you have definitely changed my views on the meaning of life and how it should be lived. SAFE TRAVELS SIR
You're wise to be careful of the edge of the road. We occasionally lose a city person over here, they meet a car and play nice and pull too close to the edge and it crumbles away. When meeting another car one of you backs up till you get to a wide spot in the road.
Man, you always find a way to edit your videos better than the last one ....each video is getting better but this one is going to my top favorite list . Shout out to you.
OMG what a goergous place! Thank you Brian for a beautiful view this morning...now if only I can get to there and see it, breath it, here it, and feel the peacefulness you must have felt while camping there I would be one happy lady😆😆😆
Hi Brian I live in Idaho and just saw this UA-cam today. It sure brought back fond memories of time I spent fishing and camping in this area. My first trip to Atlanta was in 1958 with my dad and brothers. My last trip was in 2001 with my three sons. Beautiful country and wonderful memories. Thank you for sharing your incredible journeys.
Wow now that was a scary road. Especially going around a blind area. I know this is over a year old. If you had your drone. You could have used it to see what was ahead. I would have been praying my butt off. Seriously!!!! So happy you made it both ways! HalleluYah!!! Praise The Most High! :-) Peace...
The quality of your vlogs is beyond amazing. I felt like I was riding in the van with you and was holding my breath going down that narrow road. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us.
Wow! Arrowrock reservoir is FULL! Normally, the view around cottonwood inlet (3:10) would show water level about 60-80 feet lower than shown at this time of year. Glad to have you in our neighborhood up here in Idaho Brian. Hope you enjoy your stay!
Other than the kinda non existent segway to end the video, I think this was one of your best vids yet Brian. Good editing, expression, scenery and log. Informative and relaxing. We are glad that you got some things done on the van and that you met up with a fantastic subscriber, but we are even happier that your otr again. Your vids are our fav to watch.Great job !!
wow very beautiful and I wonder what the people do to support themselves. thank you for taking us along. as always be safe and enjoy life and enjoy life
Wow! That must have been your most exciting adventure yet! What an incredible place. Those fire trucks, though. Wouldn't it be so amazing to live in that little town? And wouldn't it be amazing to hear all their different stories. This set me to thinking....were there folks descended from original settlers? What do folks do for a living? Kind of the same things I think whenever I travel through little towns. The flower shots were beautiful. I spotted a Wild Rose. At the end, I just felt very happy for you, that you got to be in such a super place. Thanks for sharing it.
One thing is for sure, after you are done roaming and you find your next spot to settle in, you will be so glad you did all this while you are still able. I'm about the same age as you, and I've already noticed a major slow down in my physical abilities, so I can see how important it is to squeeze in as much as you can, while you can. I look forward to our travels back to TX in Sept. and really appreciate you taking us to places we might never get to see otherwise. That long dirt road was nuts, glad y'all made it safely.
Kiwi Vanman Wow nice filming Brian, very interesting little village, A lot of little places like that here in New Zealand, I loved the airial shots too. Thanks for taking us along with you, William
Your videos are great ! The Sawtooth area is known for bigfoot sightings. I wish you put more drone footage in your videos, they really are amazing. I appreciate the effort you put into making videos and sharing your trips with us, I really do !
The town of Atlanta is actually not that unusual though its setting is definitely spectacular. When you get far enough away from urban settings you'll find folks living in ramshackle buildings like those found in Atlanta, Idaho. We simply don't see them because folks with video cameras are not wandering about these regions. And you wouldn't have done so either had it not been for meeting a local who took you down a 70 mile dirt road. It is a beautiful setting and I'm glad you took the drive Brian. All I could wonder as you drove through Atlanta was "where is the gas station?" We see a great many cars on the road. I can't imagine folks are driving 140 miles round trip to fill up the tank. AND I can't imagine a truck loaded with gasoline driving that road. I also can't imagine driving that road in the middle of winter.
Hey Brian your vid was great. Years ago as a teenager we road Dirt Bikes on single track trail over the centennial trail to Atlanta from Featherville, Ida Backpacking in the Sawtooth Wilderness area is another super spot you showed the sign for the Wilderness area in your vid .You were given a rare treat from an Idaho local. Thanks. Phil
WOW! Awesome area and video and campsites. Thank you! Safe Journeys,Adventures to you both. What a adventure this area is. Really like your new intro. Jp,OK.
What a beautiful little place! Living in NYC all my life, I would love to live in a tiny town like that. Everybody knows everybody and hopefully they all look out for one another. Great job on this video Brian. Beautifully shot and edited. You always do a great job on your videos, but I want to be sure to say "Thank You" every now and then for your time and effort :-)
Thank you Brian. I watch you the most. I like you and Kelly's vibe. For yourself it's great you found what feels right. It's really great to travel with you and I hope to be able to join you all some day in my my own ride. Love the sign saying left or right. Choices are so cool. :)
Great video, beautiful scenery . . . Little town Atlanta is almost like going back in time! No doubt there’s no need to lock your doors in their environment. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Brian. Awesome campground shot at 5:32. Wish I was there! It's cooler this week in Oregon. The Jackson county Fair opened, and it's always in the super high 90's and lo 100's this week. It's just in the mid 90's nos. Yes I am a huge weather fan. The way you are going heads to the northern area of Oregon. It would be best to take the highway from Eugene to the Coast directly. You are too far North to go from Medford to Brookings. If you go on log roads, be very careful, you may meet log trucks Barrelling down them, or Trucks with Zodiacs being hauled to river rapid sites. If you are headed to Portland, it's out to Astoria, then south along the coast. Best of luck as always.
what wonderful videos you take ! enjoy your eye for details and your editing....why did you leave that one camping ground by the river nefore you headed out to meet your friend ??!! that looked so beautiful too and it looked like you could uave caught some great fish !! dying for some fresh caught fish lately !! so glad you share, you dont know me but Im living my life of traveling through you dear one...My goal is exactly what youve got going on......so glad your sharing as you do !!!
I love going up there this time of year. Yes, the high road stretch can get a bit scary at times, but well worth the trip. I'm glad you were able to experience one of the gems in my state.
I just rode my motorcycle thru Bruneau. I was on the end of a 4 week trip down through Hill Country in Texas, over to Louisiana, then up to North Dakota, West to Butte Montana, down the West side of the Tetons and back home to Oregon.
Truly off the beaten path!. Well done, Brian. Did you notice how steep many of the roofs were in Atlanta? Built that way to help shed the heavy winter snows...
Hey Adventure Man, my selective reading of your title thought you were coming across the country to my neck of the woods, Atlanta Georgia. I thought you might want to come this way because of the lunar eclipse happening later this summer. Anyway, thanks for showing us your camp stays. Very nice.
I just watched Brian's Saturday chat video and he said the mail runs 6 days a week most of the year, so at least part of the year they can probably get two day shipping.
Wow, definitely one of my favorites! You can almost see ghosts of the past, men on horseback with cowboy hats and saddles full of essentials. I can totally see why people would want to live there. Would love a video on how you map out your route and avoid getting lost. Maybe you don't look at it that way though- "getting lost" . You're never really lost out there are you?
I keep telling myself I'm going to drive to Atlanta, but after many years living in southwest Idaho (since 1991 - I'm originally from San Diego), I still have not made it. Take care and keep safe :)
Most of the towns in that particular area is less than 100 people. If you ever get back in that area, go to the little town of Idaho City, Idaho. Wooden sidewalks and paths. That whole area, well Idaho for that matter is a beautiful state.
Love your videos. What a beautiful area, and I really like Atlanta..What a life, right?. I have a tiny cargo trailer that I am converting to a tiny camper. Hitting the road next week to Seattle, then to Montana to see if I can find my grandmother's family in the Blackfeet Indian Reservation..Love this live. Keep on making thos awesome videos. Judy from Hawaii

Epic drone shot of the van
This is why I watch your videos. I know a lot of people like it when you cook but I already know how to cook. Great video.
Idaho has such beautiful spots! That first river camp was fantastic!
YOU my friend have done life VERY RIGHT. SMART. Watching people like you have definitely changed my views on the meaning of life and how it should be lived.

Brian Stepp Sure is better than the city.
You're wise to be careful of the edge of the road. We occasionally lose a city person over here, they meet a car and play nice and pull too close to the edge and it crumbles away. When meeting another car one of you backs up till you get to a wide spot in the road.
"Wide spot in the road"???

Make up your mind to do it.Plan it and work toward it. You can get it done.

It's just breathtaking. I hope I can get out there sooner rather than later. Thanks for sharing. 😊
That edge is where your van has a real big advantage over a motorhome. I would be real worried in that situation. Great place. Great video.

you are such a lucky person, Brian. I just loved this video. Amaising
So much for living in a quiet little unassuming town away from the world.. Thanks dude for throwing open the doors.
Visitors are the only the way that town survives. Please go support them by grabbing a beer and sandwich at the lodge👍✌
Love the Idaho mountains, one of the best places I know of. Glad you were able to experience it.
I sure do love camping in Idaho and you've definitely given me some new inspirations with this footage. Awesome area - thank you for sharing! ✌️KJA
