Joash Mathew he never tried to recruit Castle though. Fisk, being the observant man that he is, could tell that Castle would never directly assist him. The punisher was also chained up. He was stabbed several times and had just been beaten by fully armed riot guards. Kingpin wasn't chained up and he hadn't just brutally killed five men and he didn't just fight riot police. I doubt that Kingpin wouldn't have been quite easily beaten by this version of the Punisher because he may hit hard but, he is slow compared to DD or the Punisher. Fisks fighting style is supposed to be unorthodox, random, and crude. He depends on his size and strength, even in the comics. His style has a lot of sumo moves in the comics, plus several other martial arts. In this case it is not style but primal moves and strength.
In the comics he’s a skilled martial artist relying purely on his strength but still got the technique right I don’t see this kingpin using either of those The guy acting him may havr trouble with technique so he could just use brute strength In a full strength fist you would take your arm all the way to the back and then curve it for extra momentum He used a half punch which was still very slow

Came back here after finally catching up to the finale holy did they dumb down and absolutely butcher the character. A LOT.
🙋🏼♀️
Frank _knows_ Fisk is using him and manipulating him, but he also knows he literally can't refuse
If he takes the offer, he avenges his family and continues to murder criminals, laying the groundwork for Fisk's return in the process
If he refuses, he dies
also if he takes the offer he can prevent Fisk's return so there really is no choice but to take it
It's one of those "Damned if you do, Damned if you don't".
Actually he refuses to first offer, Fisk wants to manipulate Frank to work for him just like he did with Bullseye in 3 season
Don't worry, Fisk doesn't end up making it happen. When Thanos snapped his fingers, there ends up being lots of chaos in the prisons and Fisk (who survived the snap) manages to escape from prison. However Hawkeye having just become Ronin tracks down Fisk and finishes him off along with everyone else associated with him. That's my theory anyway.
Thats the genius of Kingpin.

Doesn't change the fact that it's a moot point, as MCU Kingpin is currently more of a strength-based brawler rather than an actually skilled combatant, while MCU Punisher is a skilled marine with years of experience, whose blows, as seen here, were able to make even the much larger Fisk stagger, despite Punisher being weakened at the time.
The punisher was also chained up. He was stabbed several times and had just been beaten by fully armed riot guards. Kingpin wasn't chained up and he hadn't just brutally killed five men and he didn't just fight riot police. Fisks fighting style is supposed to be unorthodox, random, and crude. He depends on his size and strength, even in the comics. His style has a lot of sumo moves in the comics, plus several other martial arts. In this case it is not style but primal moves and strength.
In the comics he’s a skilled martial artist relying purely on his strength but still got the technique right
I don’t see this kingpin using either of those
The guy acting him may havr trouble with technique so he could just use brute strength
In a full strength fist you would take your arm all the way to the back and then curve it for extra momentum
He used a half punch which was still very slow
This show is trash, they do whatever they think looks and sounds cool. This time it failed... dont try to justify and explain it...
WrestlingGuy87 well said my FUZE MAIN
Just shut up and enjoy the fucking fight
Looks like Uncle Phil.
I honestly think Punisher was way more compelling on Daredevil than he was on his own show. I mean Bernthal was great on both shows but I still feel his best work in the role was in Daredevil. The scenes on the roof and in the cemetary between him and Daredevil were some of the best scenes on any of these shows.
Nikunj Dixit also seeing The Punisher from another POV made him so damn scary like he just out there killing I love it
💯
Absolute truth.
Nah
Agreed, those two series were great. Great fight choreography.
You know that they did a good job casting when The Punisher (Jon Bernthall) can look large, tall and intimidating, but Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio) still stands over him.
Stop lying.. That punisher looks average as fuck..GTFOH Hypebeast
+SDS Overfiend yeah I didn't really like bernthal as the punisher I mean he was great in twd but I just don't see the punisher when I look at him all these people tripping lol
thedarkknight646 Exactly... Punisher is physically menacing.. Bernthal isn't.. They are trying to flesh out a story that isn't there.. He doesn't spend time weeping and drinking
+SDS Overfiend Yeah, Bernthal is 5'10.
+SDS Overfiend Way too much shit happening in season 2 for Punisher to be as fleshed out as you want him to be.They're gonna do that drinking and weeping shit on his own Netflix show.
I love how this take make daredevil something different. Not the 15th acrobatic vigilante with witty banter, but a gritty person who takes his disability and uses it to strengthen his remaining senses. This is a good Daredevil, just a blind guy in a kick ass suit
Daredevil isn't even entirely without quips in this. But he's not throwing them out mid fight.
Maybe pre fight.
Idk one of my favorite comic panels is DD coming home from whatever and he senses there are guys with nightvision giggles waiting for him. So he goes "oh no, whatever will I do", and then calmly flicks the lights on so they're all blinded
Why Fisk sounds like he's telling a story but with a deep voice!
@Mauricio
"I decided to kill my mother..."
Wait to dark...
“Are you mocking me?”
Using his MIB bug voice, kinda.
Because that's exactly what he's doing
yeah his voice doesn't match what you'd expect with his face lol
I like how Fisk had a whole speech ready for him, but as soon as it gets interrupted, he drops it.
Private Pyle secretly survived the shot to the head and came back as the Kingpin.
Lmao
Kyle Coyne he learned from the drill sergeant
Is that really him? Lmao
Sswineamer69 oh shit it is wtf
Loved to think he survived the gunshot (obviously not) and returns with a new personality.
This fight scene and the prison hallway before this one was just so brutal and violent, and I love it!
I actually like how actors add some uniqueness to there roles. This kingpin has this strange awkwardness, but it really matches his calculated, smart mind and his sadistic enjoyment when he gets his hands dirty.
An snob
Probably explains why I could never find this scene when watching the punisher. I should have been watching daredevil 😂
Thats what i said 😆
Lol same
Noobs .
Why would you watch Punisher before Daredevil? Makes no sense. You need to watch them in order. You should also watch the other Marvel Netflix Shows cuz they're really good. They're all in the same universe.
@@draxthedestroyer3384 what happened on season 2 daredevil was before the events in punisher series.
Vincent D’Onofrio owns every role he plays. It's a shame we don't see more of him.
i just learned that he is Private Pyle. fantastic
I met him in real life working at windham mountain ski resort in windham, NY. Hes good friends with the owners. Hes quiet but he's nice. A lottle weird though like he is changing "characters" as he talks. I guess its an actor thing with identity.
@@TacticoolVIKINGBeard or perhaps he has psychiatric issues
D'Onofrio is King Pin 👑 nobody could've played it better
@Jason Calcanis LMAO not even fucking close to being “cringe” the only thing cringe here is your comment.
Fuck out of here your wrong
These shows characters writing etc were just absolute perfection please bring them back🙏
Name of movie or series?
@@xclawnitin3890 Marvel's Daredevil (then, Marvels' Punisher)
Vincent humanizes Fisk in a way that takes its own special talent to realize. Fisk is genuinely pleased to have a wee slugfest because it actually makes him feel a little less alone.
Damn, that usage of his voice demands power and respect but expels fear.
@@butchayatai Zero likes for your stupid opinion. 😂
Stern
Maximum Karnage 317 now
Maximum Karnage while you only have 5
Great voice and acting but the writing kills it
Would love to see a healthy Frank throw down with Wilson Fisk and or Dex.
Simon Giffin Kingpin would have crushed him , he’s not called “the Kingpin” for nothing
@@millardwashington6216 He wasn't called the Kingpin on account of his hand to hand. Fisk can throw down, I admit that....but Castle....
@@millardwashington6216 Yeah, and Frank isn't called 'The Punisher" for nothing either.
@@simongiffin4701 Nah, Frank still loses. Logically, no human being should be able to take a punch from Fisk. He casually overpowers car lifting superheros half the time like it's nothing.
I d put mini wolverine up against any of them.
Now that its official that Frank is coming back for daredevil Born Again, these two better keep that promise.
That guy is the perfect Kingpin... *Dat voice!*
Its shit all I can see is fat gorren when I see this idiot
Sounds forced af
@@butchayatai your a loser
who knew that goober pile had talent
Michael clarke duncan was a kingpin that could throw punches thooooo
Is it just me or D’Onofrios acting gets better every season
D'Onofrios
No, it's not you. He's one of my favorites all time. I love love love his style and I try to steal from him as much as I can.
Very peculiar in his style ... awesome
I love how season 1 Kingpin was very withdrawn, and kinda unsure/under confident. Now, he has embraced the animal rage inside him. Gonna be a bad ass rematch between him and DD
+Samuel Markert Wait, D-Dog is in this show? JK lol
Hahaha good point xD
+Samuel Markert he's basically Daniel Plainview. VD even gives him the same voice.
If you consider that Vincent D Onofrio, who played Private Paula in Full Metal Jacket, was bullied by his instructor and then shot at the end of his training, his roles have changed a lot,Wenn man bedenkt, dass Vincent D. Onofrio, der Private Paula in „Full Metal Jacket“ spielte, der von seinem Ausbilder gemobbt und am Ende seiner Ausbildung erschossen wurde, haben sich seine Rollen stark verändert.
That first backhand followed with the hook is honestly my favourite hit I’ve ever seen on tv. Big dude using momentum and size to his advantage. I really hope Vincent returns to the MCU
Yea Dats the quickest most unique way of hitting your opponent I seen from a big dude I peeped that shit I never seen that before
He also manages to look like some kind of manchild too, to really hone in on the idea that for all his bluster, he's still an awkward boy.
That fighting style reminds me of Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu
Petr Yan actually knocked Sandhagen down in UFC fight with this exact combination.
@@elessartelcontar9415 Fisk's movements before he swung were pretty hard to read he leaned back as if he was gonna lead with his right making his backhand pretty unexpected. Things happen much faster than you'd expect I think it's totally believable he could land a hit with this method even against a trained fighter. Also Castle was pretty exhausted from having just fought for his life against like twelve dudes or something.
King Pins way of talking makes him seem more real than any media that has ever portrayed him. He is coarse, loud but also polite and measuring every word in his mind. You can hear the odd combination of sophistication and menacing street talk which makes him in and of itself a character filled with contradiction. There is such depth in this portrayel.
Well said
Jon Bernthal must return as the punisher. The movie guy isn’t holding the mantle
There’s a punisher movie? Is it set in the MCU?
@@sharpstriker1559 no
@@sharpstriker1559 yea there’s three Punisher movies but it’s not in the Mcu
@@PhxntomNV 3 movies? I thought there were only 2 ( punisher and punisher warzone )

This show is an example to be admired and emulated...
•Spider-Man takes one slam from Fisk and dies.
•Punished takes two slams from Fisk and proceeds to slowly sit up and rub hands cause cuffs are too tight.
Cause that's not a real kingpin, comics version kingpin would easily beat that punisher to death just with the few punchs.
ThirstSilver maybe, but the real punisher won’t give him that opportunity
That Kingpin would shit all over this Kingpin.
Edit: ducking auto correct
That's bc Miles' Peter in ITSV was heavily injured by the super collider

I love the fact that a guy who fought Thanos and his army is still horrified of Kingpin. That's how scary Vincent's Fisk is.
@ROSCHE nah...he was fine really
Thanos is a ghost, was an ideal.
The kingpin is flesh and blood, literally ruining the here and now.
If Clint and Bishop don't do things correctly, it's heavily implied the kingpin will kill their families and not respectfully either.
Clint already lost his family in endgame so it's not the same type of dread. It worse.
@ROSCHE true, that was lame
why does he sound like a mix of Yoda and cookie monster
a nice catch, that was. hmm
😂😂😂
Mirza Haider lol!😂😂
AH YES THE SON OF A BOXER
You deserve an award for this comment but you've ruined DD for me now.
+Jed Sheldon sorry lol
The fact they accurately potray kingpin as by all accounts stronger but not nearly as skilled as frank is such a chery on top. Its lore accurate
