I agree, it gives ominous without overdoing it, perfect.
It is not unlikely that there was a blower off screen to add more wind, the editing has been intentionally pushed cold and blue to make it feel more tense and oppressive, and the rustling of leaves is added in postproduction audio since the mics for the dialogue wouldn't pick that up properly
The trees in the back ground are blowing to. Im inthe film busines so you are correct that they could have a blower but a blower wouldnt be able to blow that wide and long of a range. Its mother nature baby. @@Galf506
@@Galf506 Plus the boom would pick up the leaves rustling. Theres always a boom to pick up overall tones and sounds.
Good point about the wind blowing and how that foreshadows there will be a storm coming up later in the movie in the form of Denzel getting justice.
Censoring these words is the ultimate crime into facing the realism of the scene
I do not care how many times I have seen this, this will forever be the best scene. He is just brilliant
Great scene. Great writing. Great acting.
“The only bad part - is I only get to do it once” best line in the movie 😂
You couldn't even quote it correctly
One of the greatest movie trilogies
That entire scene is metal
It’s amazing, Denzel is so good. You can watch movie after movie after movie with him and he’s so good in every single one
Always loved the acting by Pedro in this movie.
His acting in general is usually pretty top notch
This, GoT and Last of us
It's EXCELLENT. The director captured all the overt and subtle tensions in this scene almost perfectly.
This ain't one of them times. I like that detail that even when Robert is leaving and walking backwards, he doesn't turn his back to them until he grabs the kid, and he knows they won't shoot him in the back. Pure ruthlessness and strategy. Also given McCalls reputation and the fact, that these punks know exactly what he's capable off, they knew they're dead.
Agreed the finger guns kill me everytime too because it's 1 for each of them. They look nervous the entire time bc they do know.
The fingerguns are actually a symbol, foreshadowing how later he will shoot and kill them with real guns, amazing!
no shit???
🤣😂🤣😂@@DarkRRider
Gotta love how retards feel like they have to explain obvious things like this.
Genius!
lol you're so simple
0:14 you can see the cameraman sitting in the car next to Denzel even the red light of the cam you can see hahah
What are you talking about?
Why would the cameraman be sitting in the car? That’s the guys from his (Pedro’s character) team and the red light looks like its a dash cam.
Yeah you’re tripping 😂
How can you be so confident and yet so wrong?
Get off the pcp
I love his acting, so believable. A True Master of His Craft..
They all have that Ruh ROH look on their faces at the end!! Priceless!
Pedro Pascal is right. MGS3 taught me there really is no such thing as a "true" enemy.
Yeah, nah, everyone's an enemy until proven otherwise.
Boss was right
You know every one of those men needed new undergarments after speaking with McCall.
And the only disappointment in it for me is that I only get to do it once
In Arabic they're sometimes called "suruali"
Denzel's great here. Also the writing is impeccable.
"It wasn't anybody, it was you."
It never ceases to amaze me how some of the most ruthless killers have the audacity to try to mask their bullshit with normalcy. Dave really had it coming.
In the next John Wick they REALLY need to have him do a cameo. Not necessarily integrated into the story deeply, but just a moment where you know that 2 men on fire crossed paths.
Cross over film maybe call it John Equalizer, or John MCcall .
John Wick doesn't have the class
@@terrortinus We may never know
john wick compared to equalizer is just a shooting game made as a movie - no story. nothing. its boring . equailzer is so much deeper
@@getwetsoonyou talking out yo ass fr😂 every John wick movie has a story line that’s why there’s 4 of them and only 3 equalizer
Denzel Washington, one of my favorite actors FOREVER
Denzel is just the best at his craft. There isn't a movie I dislike of his
Genius writing. "You see" (followed by that smile which turns to a look of hate)..."Help and company."
I can't count the amount of times I'm hooked by this stand off, everytime it turns up on my feed.
4:20 'who said they were the enemy? Not us, not me!' True words 💯
put your weapon down and wait; That's how you'll find out definitively who your enemy is.
Bro finally realized he was always just a pawn, but still kept being one for his own sake

Denzel, Freeman, Fishburn and Jackson, all black and the best there is. If it has any of these actors it's going to be a hit.
Jamie Foxx definitely in there
@@Darealtwill Probably a few more I forgot to mention but yes, Jamie Fox is brilliant.
@Darealtwill PUT WILL SMITH IN THERE TOO REGARDLESS OF HIS PERSONAL BULLSHIT

I love how their first reaction when he leaves is F*&K. They know they are screwed.
Denzel's look gives the confidence to viewers that he will take them all.
That was top 3 most gangster scenes ever. Not only did he say he was gonna off all 4 of them he left with the guys wife and kids after.

Always gotta love Denzel's work: masterful.
9:05 "See you at work."😆
This entire scene is one of Denzel's greatest ever, just methodically written, and potrayed flawlessly
The whole sequence is tight. Thrilling, dramatic, tied off with a really clever bow.
"I'm gonna kill each and everyone of you." *with Robert smiling in the thumbnail*
It was at that point , they knew they had messed up
Ya they FOAFO 😂
The sad part is that Robert is going to kill the father of that lovely family, but that's just the way it is in a world like that.
Nothing sad.
That father is responsible for how many deaths?
@@JCS1964-i7w yea for sure, it's the families of these kind of people I feel bad for
@@pputnam100
Yeah
That bothered me from the start of the scene
"See? Help and company 😊 see you at work"😊 with the mock pistols is nothing short of superb
Censoring a few naughty words just moments after showing a woman literally being stabbed is wild
How he could playfully clap those innocent girl's hands knowing that he's going to permanently remove their father from their lives is just so cold.
Killing McCall best friends and Trying to kill his team leader was the mistake he tried to do, also liked how at 7:27 McCall was reaching for his piece checking if it was on him was ready to smoke all them
You have a good eye --- I think most people miss that part --- only an experienced assassin like McCall does that kind of check to make sure he's got firepower ready to go!
Didn't catch that one yet, thanks
Two of my favorite actors, intense scene.
Yep, Denzel Washington and Dave Bautista.
Denzel is one of the greatest and brightest acctors ever.... He never act in a bad movie and he have good values and heart outside the movies to... Bless him and hes loved ones..
Bolllllllocks.
I don't know why I watch scenes of movies rather than watch them
his whole team knew oncce they walked out..that they were dead. they accepted it during his punishment speech. how unsettling it is for that man knowing the grimm reaper is catcching a ride with his wife and kids
