I think it’s severely under appreciated how Micro survived and outsmarted The Punisher’s interrogation.

Honestly the banter between Frank and Micro was done well for this first season. If Punisher had a season 3 made, I’d love for David to come back even if it was for an episode or two
If he did come back in a season 3 I'd want them to recreate the In The Beginning storyline where Micro works with the CIA to take down Frank
Yeah in the comics, Micro turns against Frank, and gets murdered, I’m glad they gave him a redemption arc in the first season. I always thought if they brought him back, he might get a doomed fate. Even Curtis got on Frank’s bad side after turning to a life of crime, and was thrown out of a helicopter. Quite a few people in the show who managed to survive Punisher’s wrath.

as much as Frank can have friendships .....he knows what loyalty is & in some way he cares because he wants to give David his family back unlike him who lost his ......I think they screwed up badly keeping Karen to one episode & what were they thinking with Beth? there is no way she would understand what Frank was she barely coped with Pete !! as for Amy if she hadn't been around his daughters age season 2 would never have happened ....only thing that annoyed me was there being no reference to Karen nearly being killed by Fisk & there was no Frank to go kill him off !!! & no mention of it in season 2 of the Punisher which is set after season 3 of daredevil !!

@@Rain-Man915 not exactly. A lot of the time there’s still a weird rivarly. People still struggle write batman and superman as just friends and not reluctant allies. This feels like actual friendship. Like if they werent in this line of work, they’d still hang out and meet at the pub
@@helen9289Punisher Season 2 takes place a few weeks after Daredevil Season 3. So I don't think Karen being targeted by Fisk aka Kingpin would be on the news. By the time Daredevil defeats Kingpin only thing on the news would be Daredevil's priest getting killed by Bullseye. It's possible Punisher could fight Bullseye in the future just like in the comic books.
And like any good friendship, they have their down moment and argue with one another 😂.
The sandwich banter in the car that starts at 9:19 is still one of my favorite scenes of the show between them. Frank’s face is just hilarious looking at the sandwich.
It’s like a kid sitting with his friend during lunch time realizing that his friend’s got the “cooler lunch”.

In my opinion I feel like in that moment frank thought about how he could've kill the commander when he punch his eye out because of the rage and adrenaline pumping when he asked the squad (Did you kill the target?) After they went through all that shit they seen and did when they was on that mission, so in that moment when Frank asked him (what did you do) and the response he got was (my got my hands dirty)... He couldn't even be mad at him for acting the way we was all he could do was calm him down send him home

That ship sailed, but I suppose we should be thankful it did. Disney wouldn't do this Punisher justice, and rather than subtle/dark humor, we'd get forced "humor" like Thor and She-Hulk. They'd ruin him. Netflix actually did these heroes correctly.
The part at 13:50 reminds me of When I was in the marine corps. Me and This dude were sent out to a cold desolate area of the world. We suffered through so much and shit was intense and wild at time.
There’s nothing like a crazy situation to bond people together, the camaraderie is the best part of being in a team. We are best friends and to this day we chat and talk.

Is it just me, or does all of their dialogue together feel like a cutscenes before a GTA mission? Basically, David is an oddball that gives Frank all of these assignments that he explains at his hideout. Very GTA-ish.

@@Aarthurnax Look, I don't enjoy being _that_ girl/bitch here, but Aiden isn't like Frank. Aiden may kill, but he doesn't enjoy it beyond the idea of getting revenge on those who killed his family. Frank openly enjoys killing criminals, from low-level (yet usually horrible) offenders to mass murderers and all-round villains. Frank is a one-man army and Aiden is a man with a magic phone, a gun, and a baton. While they share similarities, I'd still say Frank is closest to being a GTA character at best and a Manhunt character at worst.
Just a little sidenote: Frank continues to look for conflict, he intentionally goes into situations that would kill any other human being. Aiden, while still managing solid feats in combat, doesn't behave like Frank in that manner. Aiden only hunts down those responsible for his wife's death. Frank will hunt down an entire mafia family from their lowest street-level thugs to the head of the organization, top to bottom, on a whim. Frank is a missile with the precision of a scalpel while Aiden is best likened to just the scalpel itself. That is to say that while he may be equally precise, but nowhere near as destructive as Frank is.

For all their back and forth at each other, I liked how at 12:30 when Micro lost camera feed of his family, and you could FEEL the panic in his voice, Frank didnt try to talk him down, or give him shit, he went to check on them because thats what Micro needed. That was probably the closest Frank and Micro ever got to understanding each other. Frank, who lost his family, and Micro, utterly terrified of losing his, and Frank seeing that.

Frank and David's banter sometimes makes me wonder if Frank is giving him the same demeanor he would give a USAF airman, given the military's rivalries.
I think Frank is just rough around the edges and it's hard for him to be emotional around people.

Over the course of the season, these guys start to bond like to two guys who hate each other in the same fox hole. I thought this season was pretty good, and I appreciated that they ended the season with David "going home" like a war buddy. They drove each other nuts, but they also came to respect each other.
The way frank stands up and walks over when drunk micro had the phone s EXACTLY how a marine does it it reminded me of my uncle so much lol
The fact they are in the bear makes this even better
Fun fact. The diner that they shot this was the same diner from Good fellas. Sadly it closed down during the pandemic.
