Just bought the Riedel Performance Riesling and tested against my Zalto Universal with a stunning 2020 Kobayashi Sans Sulfre Syrah (Washington state, USA). The Riedel was definitely my preference between the two. Thank you for sharing the love of wine without pretense!
It's amazing to see how Zalto was praised for years as THE glass to have. They're great glasses overall that are beautiful and feel great in the hand, but having done similar tests as you I found the Riedel Performance to outperform the Zalto almost every time. I was tasting some Gruner with Bernhard Ott in Wagram back in 2018, and the whole tasting was with a Zalto Universal, as that's all they used in the tasting room. He had just gotten a few tester Riedel Performance glasses so we did a comparison versus the Zalto. It was the first time I was blown away by how much of a difference a glass could make. I had worked with Zaltos only since 2013, but this one tasting helped me to be more open minded towards everything else out there. And thanks for doing a universal test! Great content, as always.

I use the "Riedel Veritas Old World Syrah" as my univervasl "daily driker". I got it as part of a testing set of 3 glases, where the "Riedel ambasador" in Denmark had selected some different wines to try in all 3 glasses in the set and compare them (the two other glases being "Cabernet/Merlot" and "New world Pinot Noir"). The "Old world Syrah" glass is very often what the Riedel glass guide recommends, and the Riedel Ambasador also spoke of it as a universal/allround glass.. The Veritas Champagne does look a bit like it, only slightly smaller..
@@KonstantinBaumMasterofWine Hello Konstantin! I'm curious with the outcome, so would you recommend Riedel veritas old world syrah for whites as well? I'm considering that one and Riedel Riesling performance as universal glasses for a group tasting. Would be happy to hear your opinion.
@@KonstantinBaumMasterofWinejust watched this video. What was your conclusion with drinking different whites from the Performance Syrah glasses? Curious to hear your feedback.
You will be happy with your choice. I’ve replaced all of my Reidels with Gabriel Glas Gold and I haven’t looked back. Beautiful glasses, light weight, superior shape, and balance. I’ve also tried Jancis Robinson, and Zalto glasses as well as Reidel, but no contest with Gabriel Glas Gold.
@@sharoncarmack5728 the only annoying part is the cost - in Europe a glass costs 14 Euro / $20 Canadian , while the cheapest I could find in Canada was $43 Canadian for a glass. And Amazon sells them for $65 Canadian a glass. Crazy!
I ended up buying the Gabriel Glas StandArt for my wife's Christmas gift this year. Debated for days on whether or not to upgrade to their hand-blown glasses (and many other hand-blown brands) but I know if she uses them they will eventually get broken, or else sit unused on the shelf for fear she would break them. At a comparable price I did consider the Riedel Veritas riesling and sauvignon glasses as both "universal" types, but they are pretty plain looking while the Gabriels are much prettier. Speaking of pretty, I absolutely love the look of the two burgundy style glasses from Sydonios, "le Subtil" and "Le Septentrional", very elegant!
A great thank you from homeland Germany! Everyday wine drinkers my wife and I are - and still in search of a reasonably priced glass for probably every possible use without too many downpoints. Have tried several brands for several wines and accumulated a selection of sometimes dysfunctional tableware. After another deep consideration Riedel Veritas Champagne won our hearts - sold for less than 18 € a piece in May 2023 fright included. Tested it with our "standard wines" to unlock, if there are differences to be discovered. There ARE. Young wines like our favorite Riesling were rather acidic on the first nose, even a Chateau Citron 2019 (our "noodle-wine" to go with tomato sauce) was scaringly sour when freshly poured. The Riesling (2022 "Liter-Riesling" from Palatinate for a staggering 3,60 €/Ltr) took five minutes to open up and develop a much deeper fruitiness on the palette which lasted for more than a quarter of an hour. Then the glass was empty. The Bordeaux took a while longer to free its aromas but then an intense and round flavor evolved. Champagn eneeds to be tried still - but it is without doubt a very good glass to lift a wine's aromas. A bit difficult to clean due to very thin glass and small opening - but some risks have to be taken!
👍👍Thanks, Konstantin - that was a very important and useful test for people! What do you think about glass influence on taste? Some experts say that the glass affects but i personally didn't ever notice this: every wine lover washes the whole mouth with wine - how can the glass shape make any difference?!
Although I should admit that Zalto universal glass is beautiful and elegant, I bought Riedel performance riesling for a universal purpose to cover all white and red wines. I really really thank you for the valuable comment!
Good video! At my last wine tasting at a winery they used Gabriel I never heard about them but I liked it instantly :) Probably I will try some Gabriel Glasses ;)
Interesting! I also prefer a rather narrow Champagne flute for Riesling; mine is slightly narrower than yours, but close. Given that it did well w/ Pinot as well, I'll give the Reidel Performance Riesling glass a long look.
@@KonstantinBaumMasterofWine For someone that is pretty much a fan enthusiast and starting to take wine more seriously which wine glasses would you recommend to start of with? I would like two recommendations if possible, one for everyday tasting (least expensive) and one for a more glamorous event. Thanks. BTW have you ever tried wines from Valle de Guadalupe Mexico?
Could you do a stemless glass review? If that’s not too lowbrow 😅 but they are so much more practical for everyday use and safer around our crazy dog and cats.
Hi Konstantin. Love the content! Do you have any experience with the thickness and texture of drinkware VS the perception of flavour and texture of a wine? I have tried various glasses and even ceramic and my opinion is that the thicker and rougher the material of the glass is, the lower the perception of viscosity.
I wonder if your decision was influenced by you having used Riedel for a long time. I saw a similar YT video from a hard core Zalto guy, and he was able to blindly pick out Zalto from the pack as the most preferred glass. Thanks for the great video!
@@jdavis234 Which confirms the question. There are many great glasses, and among them you typically prefer what you are used to after having experimented through your wine journey.
@@ztrinx1 yes and it is also true that some glasses simply reveal more flavor and aroma than others. If you prefer glasses that do not do this, this is your preference although your judgment may be called into question as well as your ability to blind taste.
@@jdavis234 That is quite a statement. Unless you are merely repeating what I said, are you actually claiming that there is "the one glas to rule them all" among the good ones?

Hi! LOVE this channel, the best available! @Konstantin (and others) I see you are using the Gabriel stand'art (or is it Gold?) more and more often. So now some time later, do you still prefer Riedel Champange as a universal glas (sparkling, white, light red) or would you prefer Gabriel Glas Stand'art? How are they compared in weight and feeling? Thanks! :)

@@KonstantinBaumMasterofWine I would recommand the Spiegelau Definition Universal. Its very thin for a maschine made glas und the performance is very good
It would be nice to see one speciality glass between universal ones in this perfomance to learn if it works enough more well than universals do. Is is worth keeping veriety glasses at home/restraunt? For example, how do you treat Riedel Veritas Riesling/Zinfandel for Rieslings (not older than 10 years old)? Thanks
Nice selection and simple approach with not too surprising result that the Veritas Champagne glass is versatile (if maybe light on volume..?). IMHO, the Riedel Veritas line is pretty good price per performance and importantly we are comfortable handing them to guests, unlike our "precious" Somms and SuperLs... Skål!
After watching this episode I went to look for the Riedel Champagne glasses. I found also the Riedel Performance Champagne glass, is this glass equivalent to the champagne glass you used in this tasting?
I firstly bought the Riedel Veritas Riesling / Zifandel as universal glass, since it was indicated by many reviews as a good choice. Then I also bought a wider Riedel Veritas for Old World Pinot Noir (that i also use for Nebbiolo based wines). Luckly a lot of online shops these days in the wine page tell you which type of glass is best for a specific wine.
@@daniobevasdellio7066 Yeah, the riesling ones. They have them on offer for a 4 pack where I live, so I was considering them, but afraid they'll be too small for most wines..
@@Alexander_Tronstad If you want them to be universal i think yes, I'd try to find something a tad wider. If you can buy 2 types then they are pretty good for the range of wines who don't benefit from wide glasses
We love doing our tastings out of a Gabriel style glass, a great all rounder for all different styles of wines which is super helpful for blind tastings especially!
Thank you for the comparison, Konstantin! I bought after watching the video Riedel Veritas Champagne Wine Glass and I am very satisfied! What do you think about Spiegelau?
Hi there! I want to gift myself with a very nice wine glass, i love wine mostly red wine, which will you recommend the gabriel glas gold or the zalto universal wine glass?thanks!
The iso glass is the only one that didn't have a comparable liquid volume capacity to the other glasses. Which was the second worse glass in your opinion? Vielen dank! Enjoy your channel!
Still searching for a universal glass. I use the Riedel Veritas Syrah for a Lots of wines. Kind of similar shaped as the veritas Champagne glass. maybe slightly langer, but seems to work good for bolder White wines and all the Languedoc, Rhone, Chianti, Barbera, Tempranillo valpolicella stuff.
If it is the "Riedel Veritas Old World Syrah 6449/41" then i am on completely the same page as you :) And also think it looks like the Veritas Champagne is a slighly smaller version of the old world syrah.
Of course you can drink lichter whites out of it, but i would still go for the Riesling glass. But I actually use it more for Red wines than my Bordeaux glasses, which are usually sold as standard red wine glasses. And with the popularity of GSM blends and Chianti etc, I daresay I wouldn't be the only one for whom this is true.
Very interesting tasting result. The Gabriel glas looks exactly like my preferred wine tasting glas. I actually got them labelled CM (Castel Miquel) as a present by the owner of the company I work for and wonder if it is actually a relabeled version of the Gabriel glas or comes out of the same mould. Weight and look is nearly identical. Anyways, I really think this is a strong performer as a universal glas due to the shape. Might try the Riedels in the future for comparison purposes.
Wondering if you considered including the universal glass Jancis Robinson designed fairly recently? I have one but it doesn’t come close to my preferred Zalto.
I have an idea for a future video: Books, websites, journals to improve your wine knowledge. I bought a book about wine (my first ever) wanting to start on the easier side but I found it to be too shallow, for a very casual consumer.
Just discovered the channel. I'm impressed with the amount of information you put into the top-notch tastings especially. Keep it up! How long are the raw recordings for a video like this? In other words, what's the ratio between cut and uncut footage? As for the stemware, I'm one of those guys who thinks it's hugely overestimated as long as it's decent. I've also made some glass comparisons, albeit not as extensive. IMO it's plain impossible to objectively compare glass performance as there are too many parameters that can't be isolated. My current verdict is, there are some minuscule differences in smell, but only relevant if you rush over it. I'm open to correct myself if the situation arises. So for me it comes down to a 'good enough' universal glass, not least due to space issues. It just so happened I chose Gabriel (both Gold and StandArt) and I'm fine with them.
@@KonstantinBaumMasterofWine Not questioning the amount of work at all, and it's appreciated! I asked because it is evident the video cut condenses the story. I wonder how much time goes into the assessment of a single wine? I found that upfront differences in aroma (over glasses) may be perceived lesser to the point of vanishing the longer you explore the wine.
Great video! I recently bought a set of Gabriel glasses - very pleased with them. The other two I use are the Riedel performance riesling and the Riedel performance pinot noir. I feel that between those three most bases are covered. I feel like the riedel performance riesling, whilst good for reds and whites, is a bit awkward (too big) for fortified and dessert wines, but these types of wine do well in the Gabriel glas.
Wondering how would Riedel Riesling Performance vs Riedel Champagne Veritas differ when doing champagne instead of white wine. Would Riedel Performance Riesling be okay to use- or should it be better with a bit smaller glass like Riedel Performance Sauvignon Blanc?
Just ordered a pair if Riedel Veritas Champagnes. I can't wait to experience the bold yet subtle, bright yet dark and forest floor minerality, three dimensional recreation of a favorite wine! :-) *Just kidding!*
Great videos, we’re both really hooked! Immediately got all our different glasses out and tried. However, it was quite easy to tell some of the glasses apart just by the feel of the swirl. Would be extra interesting to see a “double blind study”, where your wife also holds the glass and it’s not touching the face (above the lips/nose tip). And also being tasted this way. We’re definitely going to be more attentive to our choice of glass from now on, and it clearly motivates purchasing more beautiful glasses :) Thanks for a lot of fun and useful videos!
Also interested to see how the Lalique 100 point glass range stands up to the competition. It's a glass co-created with James Suckling, although it does come in at a hefty price tag of €130-€140 per glass!
If anyone is looking for some cheaper options from Riedel, they have finally released a so-called All Purpose glass, which I think is in certain markets in the Bar Range. I also really like the Restaurant Riesling (smaller than the Performance, which I own) and Restaurant Syrah. I believe these are sold in the off trade as Vinum.
Okay. I’ve just looked and the Restaurant range is actually slightly different to the Vinum, but the shapes are similar. They are actually priced the same as Performance in Britain, which makes them worse value in terms of feel… but I actually don’t like incredibly delicate glassware.
A question came up m mind when I saw the ISO glass: What is our opinion on the often rather small sweet wine glasses? I know that these glasses are smaller because if you pour lets say sherry to the widest part of the glass into a normal glass you will be drunk soon because of the higher alcohol level sherry has but apart from that sherry, madeira, port and so on usually smell really intense. So to make it simple: Which glass do you use to drink your sherry? Think I was also one of those who already said, that he like the Gabriel Glass best but I am not sure about this, so my favouriter glass is the Gabriel Glass.
I think the traditional Sherry Copita is too small and is mainly used because Sherry is poured in smaller doses. I use the Riedel Veritas Riesling Glass for Sherry.
I'm no master of wine, but I have the zalto universal and white wine glasses, the riedel SB, the Pino, chardonnay, the champagne glasses, the zieher vision straight and fresh.... and I love the zieher most
I've used many fine wine glasses over the years but I nv felt like any of them beats my gold edition gabriel glas even though it's only a universal. It makes a $20 bottle punch above it's weight and likewise do justice to bottles that are worth hundred or thousands.. Zalto, I never understood the hype..
9:45 - R: most of the time a large bourgogne glass for pinot noir, nebbiolo and a very large bordeaux glass for everything else. I realy like the bourgogne shape, but I think bordeaux... prettier.
I love oaked Chardonnay. The Gabriel-Glas Universal is good but specifically for chardonnay If you can swing it the "RIEDEL Extreme Oaked Chardonnay" glass is the best.

Whats with Josephine Nr. 2 from Josephinenhütte? Not surprised that many commenters love the Gabriel glass - it's a classic. But no Josephine Nr. 2, come on! ;-) Thanks for pointing out the Riedel Veritas Champagne Glass.
I did the Riedel "glass tasting" seminar conducted by Georg Riedel himself personally. Amazing!! But by now, he must have at least a dozen glasses, of all different shapes, sizes, rim diameters, volumes, fluted, non fluted, flat bottomed, curved bottomed, hand blown, machine made, with stems, without stems ... the list goes on; yet that somehow magically are all perfect for Cabernet Sauvignon!! And I did the same "glass tasting" with another presenter, this time with Spieglau glasses, after Riedel bought Spieglau. Suddenly it seems, after the purchase, the Spieglau glasses performed just as well as the Riedels, when before they were just mediocre. And strangely enough, Riedel's Coca Cola glass is the same shape as a Coke bottle. Seems to me there's a credibility issue here.
Wait, you taste 100 wines in one session? How do you keep your pallet clear? I found after about 24 wines I was saturated, and that was with whites the first hour and then reds the second hour, and virtually no swallowing. I would love to know how to keep tasting clearly!
After my gf destoryed all of my(!) Riedel glasses, we just take what ever is in reach. On the other hand I can't remeber, that we ever drank out of actually wine glasses when we were with my gf's family in France. We just use small bistro glasses, poured out of big "plastic bags" or tetra packs most of the time, that is filled directly from the producer. It's of course no 20-30€ wine but it's pretty good most of the time.
Would you still recommend the Riedel Veritas Champagne glass as a good universal? I personally have been using Gabriel Glass for years and love them, but they are so fragile my wife and I always break them.
I just bought the new Reidel performance you reviewed in this video - right after watching your review. In general, I’ve found your videos are very instructive (seen a few now).
Crazy!
Let me know whether you like them.
Great episode! I love these comparison vids.
Thank you!
Definitely Gabriel Glas Gold Edition. Elegant, light, and promotes the wines! Nice video comparison.
Although I should admit that Zalto universal glass is beautiful and elegant, I bought Riedel performance riesling for a universal purpose to cover all white and red wines. I really really thank you for the valuable comment!
My universal glass is the Speigelau Authentis red wine glass. Really enjoy your videos
Thank you!
Good video!
At my last wine tasting at a winery they used Gabriel I never heard about them but I liked it instantly :)
Probably I will try some Gabriel Glasses ;)
Let me know whether you liked them.
Interesting! I also prefer a rather narrow Champagne flute for Riesling; mine is slightly narrower than yours, but close.
Given that it did well w/ Pinot as well, I'll give the Reidel Performance Riesling glass a long look.
Hi, I get back to this video over and over, very well done! Is the riedel veritas 650ml capacity?
This was really enjoyable to watch! keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
Can you do the James Suckling Lalique 100 point universal glass vs some of the higher end Riedel glasses?
I enjoyed this. Do a run off of the top three. Choose four to six varietals and rank those three glasses.
Could you please test the ikea glass? Just curious how it measures up against the greats. Thanks
I use a glass from Schott Zwiesel. I serves me well for all my wines. It costs about 15€. For champagne I have a Riedl glass (not hand-blown).
I wonder if your decision was influenced by you having used Riedel for a long time. I saw a similar YT video from a hard core Zalto guy, and he was able to blindly pick out Zalto from the pack as the most preferred glass. Thanks for the great video!
Riedel have a long track record of making great glasses and preferred by many, myself included. (Yes I am biased.)
Thank you! Possibly - I am not sure. For me personally Riedel does the best job at the moment.
@@jdavis234 That is quite a statement. Unless you are merely repeating what I said, are you actually claiming that there is "the one glas to rule them all" among the good ones?
I love your channel! Please do Bordeaux glasses next! :D
Thank you!
You'd have been so proud of me. As I shook off one of my Riedel white wine glasses it went flying across the kitchen and crash.
I enjoyed this glass class as I have others over the past months. Yesterday and today, for the first time, your new video was referred by UA-cam to me in the number one slot as opposed to 10 or 15 down. You must be doing something right: good luck growing your channel.
Wonderful! Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks! :)
For anyone who is interested, here is a list of true universal glasses that I found on the internet :
Zalto Denk’Art Universal
Gabriel-Glas Universal
Josephinenhütte No. 2 Universal
Lucaris Desire Universal
Lehmann Sommier Psyche 55
Richard Brandon x Jancis Robinson
Mark Thomas Double Bend Allround
Glasvin Universal
Grassl Elemental Versatile
Fusion Air Universal
Zenology Somm Universal
Nude Stem Zero Master
Spiegelau Definition Universal
Hopefully one day I will collect them all and do a comparison with them.
good list.
@@KonstantinBaumMasterofWine The Glasvin Universal is my favourite for the money. A new company, started small but producing great wine glasses for the price
@@alexandermorsink I think allot of people prefer not to buy Chinese made products even if they are less expensive.
@@KonstantinBaumMasterofWine I would recommand the Spiegelau Definition Universal. Its very thin for a maschine made glas und the performance is very good
Lovely vid. I was lucky enough to find a set of 4 riedel glasses at a thrift shop for 4$ the other day
It would be nice to see one speciality glass between universal ones in this perfomance to learn if it works enough more well than universals do.
Skål!
Thanks.
After watching this episode I went to look for the Riedel Champagne glasses. I found also the Riedel Performance Champagne glass, is this glass equivalent to the champagne glass you used in this tasting?
I bet everyone wanted to see you crush that Zieher Vision glass instead.
Anyway. Nice video again! Makes me want to invest more in good glassware.
Isn't it a tad on the small side, or are you happy with them?
@@Alexander_Tronstad the riesling one? Maybe a little bit but maybe it's better this way, keeps your wine consumption down :P
I agree.
Btw I like your videos. You guys have great chemistry
Thank you for the comparison, Konstantin! I bought after watching the video Riedel Veritas Champagne Wine Glass and I am very satisfied! What do you think about Spiegelau?
Glad it was helpful! They produce very good glasses too and they are also owned by Riedel.
Riedel by far are my favs.....You can also put them in the dishwasher!!
True
Thanks - yes. The second worst was the Zieher.
How do you like the Riesling performance compared to the Syrah performance? I have the latter and I like it quite a bit for red wines.
The R are smaller and therefore less good for reds
Still searching for a universal glass. I use the Riedel Veritas Syrah for a Lots of wines. Kind of similar shaped as the veritas Champagne glass. maybe slightly langer, but seems to work good for bolder White wines and all the Languedoc, Rhone, Chianti, Barbera, Tempranillo valpolicella stuff.
If it is the "Riedel Veritas Old World Syrah 6449/41" then i am on completely the same page as you :) And also think it looks like the Veritas Champagne is a slighly smaller version of the old world syrah.
You are not the only one. Does it work for light white wines too?
Of course you can drink lichter whites out of it, but i would still go for the Riesling glass. But I actually use it more for Red wines than my Bordeaux glasses, which are usually sold as standard red wine glasses. And with the popularity of GSM blends and Chianti etc, I daresay I wouldn't be the only one for whom this is true.
I just ordered a pair of the Riedel Performance Riesling ............I look forward to see if you are correct.........I have a hunch you will be LOL
Let me know whether you liked them.
I have these, for red wine not as good as the Gabriel-Glas IMO.
In your test did you taste as well as sniff?
Doesn’t come close to Gabriel Glas Gold. I have two sitting on my bar for who knows what & why. Good for water glasses.
I have considered them. But they are very difficult to get in Germany and shipping was extremely expensive.
I have an idea for a future video: Books, websites, journals to improve your wine knowledge. I bought a book about wine (my first ever) wanting to start on the easier side but I found it to be too shallow, for a very casual consumer.
That's a great idea!
I liked the Wine Bible. It was a good 2 dollar purchase.
This video was helpful for selecting.
Thanks! Let's put it this way: Alot of work goes into these videos
Thanks for sharing!
Wondering how would Riedel Riesling Performance vs Riedel Champagne Veritas differ when doing champagne instead of white wine. Would Riedel Performance Riesling be okay to use- or should it be better with a bit smaller glass like Riedel Performance Sauvignon Blanc?
Good question!
Reidel Overture. Great bang for your buck as well.
Just ordered a pair if Riedel Veritas Champagnes. I can't wait to experience the bold yet subtle, bright yet dark and forest floor minerality, three dimensional recreation of a favorite wine! :-) *Just kidding!*
ICO for port is a perfect one!
Can the Riedel champagne glass work for everyday white wine such as Riesling, Chardonnay?
Great videos, we’re both really hooked! Immediately got all our different glasses out and tried. However, it was quite easy to tell some of the glasses apart just by the feel of the swirl. Would be extra interesting to see a “double blind study”, where your wife also holds the glass and it’s not touching the face (above the lips/nose tip). And also being tasted this way.
We’re definitely going to be more attentive to our choice of glass from now on, and it clearly motivates purchasing more beautiful glasses :)
Thanks for a lot of fun and useful videos!
Also interested to see how the Lalique 100 point glass range stands up to the competition. It's a glass co-created with James Suckling, although it does come in at a hefty price tag of €130-€140 per glass!
I have never seen the glass, but I would like to try it out.
The Vinum series is also very good.
just ordered a pair of the Veritas
I'm a big fan of the Red Solo Cup.
Great video!
So much fun!
Thanks
I realy like the bourgogne shape, but I think bordeaux... prettier.
I would have loved to see the wine wings by riedel
Yes, I have them too but I could not use another Riedel Glass in this tasting.
What glass would you recommend for a Chardonnay wine that’s seen oak?
I love oaked Chardonnay. The Gabriel-Glas Universal is good but specifically for chardonnay If you can swing it the "RIEDEL Extreme Oaked Chardonnay" glass is the best.
Hello, Can you test Riedel winewings glass?
I have them at home and I will try to include them in a future tasting.
As summwat of a glass nerd I absolutely loved this video, I have a few glasses I love.. The jancis Robinson /Richard Bredon glass. The Riedel Nebbiolo glass and the Riedel aged Pinot glass are all superb 🍷👌... That reminds me "I must buy some more😂
PS, the 1st and 3rd glass are hand blown so very very thin, can break as soon as you look at it.. 😢
Gabriel Glas stand’art for 14 euros, where can we find that :]
The Riedel Veritas Champagne is the true new universal glass. Also one of my favorites so far
Ikea glass
Whats with Josephine Nr. 2 from Josephinenhütte? Not surprised that many commenters love the Gabriel glass - it's a classic. But no Josephine Nr. 2, come on! ;-) Thanks for pointing out the Riedel Veritas Champagne Glass.
I have not used the Josephine Nr. 2 yet.
I never struggled with palate fatigue. It is just a question of spitting regirously and staying focused for me.
Have you tried Grassl?
Would you still recommend the Riedel Veritas Champagne glass as a good universal? I personally have been using Gabriel Glass for years and love them, but they are so fragile my wife and I always break them.
Yes, I would.
I just bought the new Reidel performance you reviewed in this video - right after watching your review. In general, I’ve found your videos are very instructive (seen a few now).
Question: I wonder if there are any noticeable differences between the performance glass, and the Pinot noir glass beyond the optics of the Pinot noir glass?
How has the Reidel riesling glass been for you?
