you're right about the A-F scale in relation to numbers. you say you don't understand it, but your guess was exactly right. A: 100-90% B: 89-80% C: 79-70% D: 69-60% F: 59-0% the +/- is an informal thing, kind of like a decoration or a way to specify what kind of percentage, but technically it only narrows it down to a ~5% margin. for example, a 95% or above is considered an A+, and a 90-94% is considered an A-
@Harstem American grading system uses numbers too, 0 through 100. The letters typically go in 10 point increments. 0 - 59 F, 60 - 69 D, 70 - 79 C, 80 - 89 B, 90 - 100 A. The +/- is very rarely used but when it is its typically just dividing those categories accordingly ie 60 - 62 D-, 63 - 66 D, 67 - 69 D+ and so on with each grade.
@harstem The American Grading Scale Works as such; We have two systems, a letter system A-F, and a GPA (grade point average) system from 1 to 4 or 5 depending that correlates from the letter grade. Letter system is (from lowest to highest): F, D-, D, D+, C-, C, C+, B-, B, B+, A-, A, A+. GPA is an average where F = 0, D = 1, C = 2, B = 3, A = 4, where -/+ don't matter. In some places, D- is passable, and in others C- is the passable grade. Also, we skip E for some reason, and say "A for effort". This will forever confound me.
Legit LOL’d in that fight where Terran units are just walking into the Toss death ball without firing. BTW gotta drop that F2 like its hot. It’s quite liberating to not use it. Control groups FTW
Yeah! Instead of selecting every single unit you have, you are putting every single unit you have on one control group! That way it takes more effort to play and be equally as bad as you currently are because multitasking and micro is too hard. Absolute genius. If only everyone could be as good as you are! P.S. Even Rogue, Serral and whoever else use the F2 key
yeah was awesome to see lol >2s without ANY damage of that high dps army while also not kiting away from the archons but running directly INTO them lol his emps were on point though if he HAD control groups (and used stim, or not used stim TWICE) he would have crushed that toss army btw I grew up with sc1 and BW so never even once used f2 btw lol, really not a single time
@@thomasbummer4361 Awesome and good for you. This may be a new concept to you but StarCraft receives new players that are not good. Simply telling them to play differently won't make them play better. Unbinding the F2 key might make them use control groups or it might force them to put everything on one control group because they simply are not skilled enough. It is F2 with more effort. If only everyone was as lucky and skilled as you are, maybe there wouldn't be any trouble.
even though the terran had 50% more workers by the 10 min mark, the oversaturation for the last 3 minutes meant that the protoss had more income all that time LOL
A= 9-10 B=8-8.99 C=7-7.99 D=6-6.99 F=0-5.99. The plus can mean the top of the grade and minus is the lowest within the range. So a 8 or 8.1 is B- And a 8.8 or 8.9 is B+.
The American grading system as of the 1980's: A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+,C, C-, D+,D, D-, F A, B, C, D, F are basically the grades face value, then any + or - is just an adjustment up or down from the average notation... for example, depending on the teacher, an A- could be a B+ to another teacher, or whatever... it all comes down to the points break of the teacher's scale.
I feel like you could add back all of the points for all of the things Harstem listed and then boom, negative micro, -8 points. T literally lost the game by having unstimmed bio walk back and forth in front of a line of archons... twice! That's definitely worth -4 points each time. Nothing else really mattered. I mean, you might as well build a 200 supply army, walk across the map, /dance, and then complain about how your army got wiped out.
10:20 The grades go A, B, C, D, F. There are minuses and pluses as well. B is better than B-, but worse than B+. Typically there is no D-, F+, or F-. Anything under D is fail. Some teachers don't do A+, either. Typically, anything B or above is considered good, C to B- is considered okay, and C- and below is not good. F is a failing grade. In terms of percents, usually A grades are 90%+, B grades are 80%+, C are 70%+, and D 60%+. An F is anything 59% or below. In terms of numbers, A or A+ is 4.0, B is 3.0, C is 2.0, D is 1.0, and F is 0.0. A B+ is 3.3, a B- is 2.7. This means a 4.0 student gets A and A+ grades, a 3.5 student is an A/B student, a 2.0 student is a C student, and so on.
I think the phrase "my micro isn't that good" is not sufficient to imply move commanding your entire army into the enemy's army for a total of 9 seconds.

@Harstem American grading system uses numbers too, 0 through 100. The letters typically go in 10 point increments. 0 - 59 F, 60 - 69 D, 70 - 79 C, 80 - 89 B, 90 - 100 A. The +/- is very rarely used but when it is its typically just dividing those categories accordingly ie 60 - 62 D-, 63 - 66 D, 67 - 69 D+ and so on with each grade.
Love watching this back, very nice and funny. Especially Orion
"What the ell kevin" broke me :D, especially as an Italian
This intro, is my favorite thing ever... "ran out of ink"
"you ruined my workflow. Um. and I think this protoss is about to ruin your life." brilliant
@14:20 "Harstem, when analyzing his own replays." lol
Saw this for the first time. Harstem is such a natural talent and entertainer. Loved it!
harstem me encantan tus video son buenisimos
@harstem The American Grading Scale Works as such;
We have two systems, a letter system A-F, and a GPA (grade point average) system from 1 to 4 or 5 depending that correlates from the letter grade.
Harstem is now certified to read a biography on stream
I think I played against both players on ladder at some point. This vid has brought me joy.
you probably did play me.
The story about using goats to clear landmines sounds as efficient as using a clump of SCVs for map vision. Harstem’s wit never fails.
A+ = perfect
A = passed spectacularly
B = passed adequately
C = passed averge
D = passed barely
F = failed
I feel like Harstem didn't deal with the substance of the complaint, which was how the toss at every occasion just a-moved his army to victory
"what the hell kevin" - Reynor
You are just so so fun to listen to, the drug commercial analogy was fucking hilarious
P.S. Even Rogue, Serral and whoever else use the F2 key
yeah was awesome to see lol >2s without ANY damage of that high dps army while also not kiting away from the archons but running directly INTO them lol
his emps were on point though if he HAD control groups (and used stim, or not used stim TWICE) he would have crushed that toss army
btw I grew up with sc1 and BW so never even once used f2 btw lol, really not a single time
@@lelouchvibritannia7809 guess the way u write here control groups are way too hard for u lol
@@lelouchvibritannia7809 I can quiet agree with ur last sentence
Challenge idea: play like a half blind guy, meaning you can't look at the mini map ever / at all. Pretend you can't see it / cover it up or something.
I think he did that before.
even though the terran had 50% more workers by the 10 min mark, the oversaturation for the last 3 minutes meant that the protoss had more income all that time LOL
A= 9-10 B=8-8.99 C=7-7.99 D=6-6.99 F=0-5.99. The plus can mean the top of the grade and minus is the lowest within the range. So a 8 or 8.1 is B- And a 8.8 or 8.9 is B+.
mono- comes from Greek, where it has the meaning "one, single, lone
Hoooray! new IIIODIS!
Hamster: "Ran out of ink so no drawing today :( "
Nice
The American grading system as of the 1980's:
A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+,C, C-, D+,D, D-, F
A, B, C, D, F are basically the grades face value, then any + or - is just an adjustment up or down from the average notation... for example, depending on the teacher, an A- could be a B+ to another teacher, or whatever... it all comes down to the points break of the teacher's scale.
Is that a Frost Giant shirt? I didn't know they had merch yet
No but he macros better through early game. If he did that he'd have won
This was a fantastic episode.
At 24:42 top right there's a typo "zealtos" :) is it time to fire hamster?
