Cool! I'd check the shaft seal behind the compressor to make sure it is in good shape. Know how all that goes with all the years I've worked with turbochargers. Keep us posted!
Yeah I agree Mark. I didn’t assemble it he just brought it over after he was having a hard time getting the case to close but I think he may have popped out the compressor seal forcing it closed.
I'd like to explain why your repair was failed, before removing the high speed bearing race you should mesure the distance between shaft end and the inner bearing race, after installation of the new slinger you should install the new bearing at the same measurement if not the wavy springs will push over the shaft to the other side instead of providing preload the bearing thrust side. Also you should never apply any kind of pressure to the shaft end at best you can use a socket on the compression nut to support your bearing installation, heating it to 100c is the best method
Vortech refuses to acknowledge that this oil Slinger is a problem. If you send it back to Vortech, they will just put another fatally flawed flimsy oiler back on..
No, that is the stock cast impeller in video... BUT Supercharger Rebuilds com has several styles of upgraded high end billet impellers.... They have every part you need - even the gears and modification services to larger impeller sizes as well !
No!, that is the Supercharger Rebuilds com upgraded oiler that will not fail like stock ! They started the aftermarket centrifugal repair service over 20 years ago and are the experts with the most experience - others copied them. Have every part you need - even the gears and upgraded billet impellers....

Thanks for posting! This repair is very interesting!
Thanks Will! Still probably needs a seal but at least the bearing is fixed!
Just ordered my hoodie can't wait to receive it👌

I was wondering when your were going to post a video! Looks like fun.
Next time remove the old seals, put the shafts in the housing, than install both seals after assembly. It's a lot easier and won't damage the seals.
So how did it turn out? any update?
Send it to Vortech. Get it done right.
I agree!

@jordanthomas2210 do you know what's the circumstances for it to go bad?
How do you know how far to install output shaft bearings?
Is that the 928 oil slinger? Did yall try tapping the outside of the case with a rubber mallet to get it to seat?
No, that is the Supercharger Rebuilds com upgraded oiler that will not fail like stock !
Help i just rebuilt mine and it sounds worse. It has a clinking or grinding noise.
The impeller on the this unit is it a upgrade from 928. If it is does it make the difference.
No, I believe that impeller is gold

Where did you get the bearings
I think you should have combined this video with the next one honestly. This was way too short. Nonetheless still entertaining
Yeah I hear ya! It wasn’t filmed all at once unfortunately though so just been updating you guys as it unfolds 💪
Did you guys end up using the 928 slinger or stock slinger? I have a Subaru with 10 rib Vortech V3 Si that I am working on
I also want to know....

Where is part 3???? LMAO......you guys couldn't fix it......B AHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FAIL
Probably pushed out the impeller seal when installing the impeller.
Please stop…
Reach out please!!
The carbon face of the mechanical seal would be smash because you dismantled it incorrectly!!
